About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Colt B0 contributionsSafari with GraysonGrayson’s service is outstanding in every aspect. His communication is clear, timely, and very honest, which immediately put me at ease. We took a day safari from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. Grayson arranged our train tickets, and when we arrived in Morogoro, he was waiting right outside the station, ready to take us on the next leg of our journey. The two-hour drive to Mikumi was smooth and comfortable. Grayson’s cautious and safe driving made us feel secure, especially on roads that can be challenging. The safari itself was spectacular—an excellent game drive with lunch. Grayson’s passion for his work is evident; he genuinely enjoys helping others fulfill their dreams of seeing wildlife up close. Thanks to his expertise, we were able to witness lions, giraffes, elephants and so more in their natural habitat. I highly recommend booking a safari with Grayson. His professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm make for an unforgettable experience.Written August 23, 2024

- Elizabeth S0 contributionsToo LongThe description says 12 hours and 8am start time. I was told late the night before that I would be picked up before 5am. I then assumed I would be back by 6pm. No one informed me how long the drive to the park was (6 hours) and I did not return to my hotel until almost 10pm. I was not prepared for that. Also I had the same driver who picked me up from Dar es salaam and drove through the park and then drove me back to Dar es Salaam. He was literally driving for over 16 hours. I did not feel safe with someone driving that many hours. I recommend a longer safari in Kenya, this is just too long a day.Written July 30, 2023
- A746DYjimf0 contributionsNo-showUnfortunately the operator did not show and the contact number was disconnected so we had no way to find out what was going on. We are working on a refund at this time.Written April 17, 2023
- 4MyLuvs0 contributionsMikumi Safari - Incredible! We had an excellent safari experience with Grayson. He picked us up promptly in the morning, was a great communicator about the experience, and made the entire journey fun. It was a very long day from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park so we were appreciative that we were in good hands. At Mikumi, we saw lots of animals and it was a beautiful place.Written February 23, 2023
- Y9194GQlucyl0 contributionsReview of 5-day/4-night safari Northern Parks of Tanzania Sept 2022We really enjoyed our 5-day camping/budget lodge safari covering 4 of the main National Parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. We saw all the animals we’d been hoping to, as well as some additional surprises. All the parks are special in their own way. The guides were good and the chef was fantastic and made a special effort for us since we are both vegetarian. All the booking/pre-tour communication with Brian was first class - he got back to me pretty much straight away every time. Very impressed with the value for money - the hotel accommodation was basic but comfortable and the tents were fine - they provide mattresses and sleeping bags but bring your own pillow. Beware it gets very cold at the Simba campsite at the top of Ngorongoro Crater, so bring warm layers for overnight. Unless you book a private safari you’ll be mixed with people from other groups, which was quite fun, but even if you do book a private one you’ll probably find the eating areas and campsite generally to be pretty busy. General comments about the safari: for a first-timer it was surprisingly easy to spot animals and we had so many animal encounters that we could sometimes focus on taking photos and other times just watch and absorb. Sometimes, especially in Serengeti/Ngorongoro, you’re viewing an animal with a number of other jeeps, but Lake Manyara, although with fewer sightings provided some welcome solitude. The 5-day tour was well-paced and not a rush at all. Would not hesitate to recommend Yetu Safaris for a 5-day budget tour.Written September 17, 2022
- Emepha D0 contributionsAmazing experience at Mikumi National park with Yetu SafariMy colleagues and I were in Dodoma for a work trip and decided to do a budget safari to the Mikumi National Park. We found Yetu Safaris after so many searches for an affordable but an adventurous experience. Grayson, our tour guide and driver was very welcoming and patient . He offered to pick us from our tented lodge and dropped us back. He also worked with us to create a schedule for the day trip and included breaks for breakfast and lunch. He had an excellent experience and knowledge about the national park and the animals. He was in no hurry at all. In all we had an amazing experience at the park and was intrigued about the beautiful wildlife, hippos, elephants, tigers, zebras, giraffes, some beautiful birds and butterflies, among many others. We were more than satisfied with the service provided and would definitely recommend Yetu safari to anyone looking for a great experience in Mikumi or anywhere else.Written May 22, 2022
- nevena j0 contributionsMikumi with GreysonWe started our trip from Morogoro at 6am and a little after 8am we started exploring Mikumi and all the animals living there. Thanks to our friendly guide-driver Greyson, we had as much time as we needed for every animal. We made a brake just for lunch that we ordered in the morning in one of a restaurants in the national camp. We highly recommend Greyson for this kind of trip.Written October 30, 2021
- jaredw19820 contributionsGreat trek experience in the Uluguru mountainsWe had a great 2 day/1 night trek in the Uluguru mountains with Grayson as an excellent guide. Well planned trip. He picked us from the bus station in Morogoro and we began the trek a few hours later. Grayson is very responsive and professional. He runs a great locally owned/managed safari/guiding operation in Morogoro. I've trekked throughout Tanzania and would highly recommend this if passing through Morogoro or want a long weekend away from Dar Es Salaam. The food was also great on the trek and he caters towards whatever type of food preference you have. Morning site is a cool camp site with beautiful views for the overnight as well. Highly recommended. Thanks Grayson & Yetu Safaris for the experience!Written March 16, 2020
- jacobt8360 contributionsWell-planned-out safari Tour in MikumiEarly bird gets the worm sums up the experience we had with yetu safaris. We were a group of 4 going from Morogoro to Mikumi NP. We went from 5:30 pm and after a 1,5 hour safe drive we experienced a well-planned-out safari, with all the stops we needed. We were professionally guided through the surrounding area of NP HQ and saw all the animals we expected and a lot more. We had ordered a tour without food, and was shown benches and tables, at our break stops, from where we could enjoy our brought along food. We were pleasantly surprised to find out Greyson from yetu had a mini fridge with water bottles for us in the car. All in all a very satisfying experience.Written February 25, 2020

- 92seifa0 contributionsWonderful safariWe had calm days in the February with my friends. We thanks yet safaris company coz planed well organised trip that made our biggest memory in Tanzania mainland..in short grayson and his staff are doing better in arranging friendly tour for their customers. Really they do best to face various challenges in the tourism industry. Ooh my God !!this best company to be supported both financially and morally. We saw variety species(animals, birds and plants) it was my first time to see aggressive animals like giraffes, lions, and cheetahs... I swear next holiday I will spend with smart guides of yetusafaris to get experienice from unspoiled environment..Written February 15, 2020
- T8301JVanneg0 contributionsGreat Day in MikumiJust completed a wonderful two day/one night visit to Mikumi National Park. It was an easy drive from Morogoro and a must-see if you’re in the area. I’m here for work but it was a fun outing, even solo. Yetu Safaris is locally owned and run by a young Tanzanian, Grayson, who recently started his own company. He is already training other young guides. If you care about supporting local businesses, this is a great choice, particularly in Tanzania where there is a lack of employment for young people. Grayson was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He is also a very safe and capable driver, as the recent rain has created challenging road conditions. He has a sturdy SUV with a pop-up roof so you can get a 360 degree view. If the animals were around, we saw them. Started with a male lion eating a wildebeest. We also saw herds of elephants with babies, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, warthogs, gazelles and hippos. It was a great trip, reasonably priced. I would go again in a heartbeat.Written February 11, 2020
