About
This is the best park in Southern Tanzania, it’s also the biggest National Park in Tanzania and second in Africa, has much to see more than Mikumi National Park and nice landscape, we recommend to visit this park if you have at least 3 days. This trip can be on budget, mid-range or luxury accommodation depends on your budge.
Ruaha is believed to have high concentration of elephants than any national park in East Africa. It is also a place where, magnificent mammals like Kudu (both Greater and Lesser), Sable and Roan antelopes can easily be spotted in Miombo woodland. The male Kudu have beautiful spiraled horns while male Sable antelope have impressive curved horns. The park is also a habitat for endangered wild dogs. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands, impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- klumeu125566arg0 contributionsAvoid Safaris Partners at all costs. We had the misfortune of booking a safari through Safari Partners, and honestly, it was one of the worst travel experiences. The issues began as soon as we tried to confirm our booking. We were promised luxury accommodations, which was one of the main reasons We booked with Safari Partners. However, when we arrived at the lodge, we are shocked. it was clear that we had been misled. The room was dirty and smelled musty, the sheets were stained, and there was a noticeable lack of upkeep. The safari car was very old and weak it's smelled very bad. For the price we paid, We expected a professional and well organized safari, but instead, We got a poorly executed, disappointing experience. We certainly won’t be returning, and we will be warning our friends and family to avoid this company at all costs.Written December 16, 2024

- ParadiseFoundExpat0 contributionsDo not use Safari Partner and especially booking agent Edward!Safari Partners is a third party booking agent. This means they will find other Company that will take booking. NO STANDARD and Less Service! Our booking agent was Edward which was impossible to contact when we had a problem and did not do a proper job with booking causing a lot of stress on our Safari. The 1) Safari vehicle used was not up to Healthy standards. After spending 12 hours traveling to and from Serengeti National Park, the vehicle was plagued by Dust and Dirt due to faulty windows, doors and no air conditioning which could help filter the air. This resulted in an unhealthy air quality inside the vehicle, especially for senior citizens. 2) Moreover, communication with Edward became inadequate after he received payment for the Safari. He also 3) failed to book the correct number of rooms for the duration of our Safari, leaving one night unbooked. Edward also 4) misbooked our flight to Zanzibar causing us to spend night in Dar es Salaam in a very very cheap and dirty Hotel. After we paid for Zanzibar Hotel and missing the first night in Tembo Hotel Zanzibar. Edward also 5) promised a city tour of Arusha though the driver showed up an 75 minutes late allowing no time for City Excursion. Edward should know his contract helper. Edward did not take responsible to his clients! 6) Safari Vehicle had many problems: windows and doors will not shut properly leaking in dust and dirt, loud noise after starting engine, seat belt and safety bar did not work properly, and finally Vehicle Broke Down. In my life experiences, words are Cheap and often used by individuals with Questionable motives to shift blame. Edward did not offer any refund, just a bunch of red excuses and misleading statements blaming others. My recommendation is to find another company to plan your Safari! Don't use Edward.Written July 3, 2024
- 582julianes0 contributionsMegaWe really enjoyed the day in Mikumi National Park. A highlight was meeting a lion as the first animal early in the morning, before we even got to the park. We also had a lot of fun watching elephants, giraffes 🦒, zebras 🦓 and hippos. We were able to see a crocodile 🐊 up close outside the water. We also had a lot of fun with our guide Jimmy and he explained a lot to us about the national park, nature and all the animals. The food was also delicious and we like the beer.Written June 20, 2024
- jkf5430 contributionsMemorable trip with friendsWent on a road trip to Mikumi, spent one whole day in Mikumi NP, with a night tour and a day hiking Udzungwa mountains to the water falls. It was a really lovely trip with friends, staying at Camp Bastian and our guide was Patrick. Patrick went above and beyond to help out and went an extra mile to provide a really great trip experience. The hike was quite a challenge but very enjoyable to finish it, and great to see the monkeys and chameleons that we saw. The game drive and night drives in Mikumi were great. A trip I will not forget!Written May 14, 2024
- stanislavt4550 contributionsgreat tripMr. Edward from the travel agency promptly offered us a trip to the city of Bagamoyo. The historic city together with the perfect guide Michael met our expectations. A great lunch and a detailed explanation about the history of the city was really of a high standard. We recommend visitors to Tanzania not to miss this opportunity.Written March 25, 2024
- stanislavt4550 contributionsUluguru hikingOur journey to Uluguru mountains started about two months before the actual hiking. The owner of the travel agency Mr. Edward offered us a varied program and the experienced guide Jimmy showed us and described everything that was needed. We really recommend it to anyone interested.Written March 25, 2024
- stanislavt4550 contributionsexcellent tripMy friends and I went on safari in Mikumi National Park. It started with flawless communication with Mr. Edward about 2 months before the trip, everything went smoothly, agreement, price, payment and the trip itself. We had experienced drivers (Patrick and Jimmy), they were able to show us everything the park had to offer. The accommodation and food right in the park were also great. We really recommend it to anyone interested.Written March 25, 2024

- S_Corban0 contributionsAmazing bespoke tour!We had a great time with Safari Partners. Edward was quick to respond to my queries and put together exactly what I asked for. Hamis picked us up in Arusha and was our driver through to Mikumi and then from Morogoro to Dar es Salaam. He is a very good driver and we appreciated his skills. Patrick is an experienced guide and we saw lions several times very close to the vehicle as well as elephants and other animals. We also appreciated his knowledge of the birds. Patrick drove us back to Morogoro and there was a wonderful surprise at the office arranged by Edward of a birthday cake and non-alcoholic bubbles to celebrate a special birthday as Patrick had told him it was my birthday. It was a wonderful highlight on top of an awesome day. More than all this though, we so appreciated Edward organising for us to stay at accommodation in a small town which was only possible because the person had used Edward’s services himself. Thanks so much Edward, Hamis and Patrick.Written June 4, 2023
- TheresaK11610 contributionsHiking in the Uluguru Mountains with Safaris PartnersTony was an excellent Guide. We enjoyed doing this hike with Safaris Partners. We've learned a lot about the environment and plants and trees. The waterfall was very nice. We had a bath there and no people around. All around a lovely dayWritten February 25, 2023
- Pascal B0 contributionsSee wild animals in Mikumi parkWonderful day in the nature with Patrick, an experienced driver / Safari Partners. We saw all the animals, sometimes very closely (lions resting in the trees). End of the day in the calm of the sunset.Written February 13, 2023
- GustavoLLB0 contributionsVery recommended!!Amazing trip very recommended! In one day we saw all main animals in the park. Edward organized it in a very short notice and Patrick is very knowledgeable on the park and took us to the best routes. Thanks a lot guys!Written January 22, 2023
- emmaleaw20160 contributionsGreat hiking experienceWe hiked to the Choma waterfall and Morningside with guide Antony, and it was excellent! He is very knowledgeable and an experienced tourguide, who could tell us all about the mountain. Great conversation and guiding. The views are wonderful, only wish we had time to go to the peak and camp overnight at Morningside. The snacks were good (more like a meal!), and we bought berries and jackfruit on our way up the mountain. The pickup and drop off went very smoothly with Edward. I would highly recommend Antony and Safari Adventures for any hike around Morogoro. Asante sana!Written January 21, 2023
