Prior to arrival in Africa/Tanzania for our safari I had ideas about what this experience would be like. I figured I had been watching National Geographic shows and videos or other related programming for years. Surely I already knew what I was in for. I couldn't have been more wrong!! Experiencing and seeing all the wildlife in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater and other parks was beyond amazing. Seeing all the wildlife from within 10 feet in many cases really gave me a true sense of reality, this was wild country and things couldn't have been more real. But what made this experience as good as it could have been or better was out tour guide/driver. Gosheni Safaris and in particular our guide, Calvin Kileo, made this experience beyond what I ever could have imagined!! Calvins knowledge of all the parks enabled us to make the best use of our time. He knew all the roads, he knew where the animals would most likely be, and he was so patient and giving of his time, always thinking of us and availing us of infinite times where we could take pictures. "Me and my family recently had the privilege of embarking on a 10-day Tanzania safari adventure with Gosheni Travel, this was on our first safari, and I must say, it was an experience of a lifetime! From the initial planning stages to the final departure, William and the Gosheni team provided exceptional service, expertise, and warmth. William helped us choose the accommodations of our choices and also gave few great suggestions. He was always available on WhatsApp and phone to chat when we had any questions.  We were fully taken care of the minute we landed at the airport. We met our guide Andrew the next day in the morning. He welcomed us with a big smile and showed us around before we started our safari adventure. Throughout the trip, Andrew, was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to ensuring we spotted the Big Five and more! Andrew had knowledge about every place we visited, he gave us the in-depth information about individual animals and their habits. Andrew has a keen eye for spotting animal from far away. He can find the animals by footprints. He went above and beyond to make our game drives a pleasure and super exciting. Andrew was always there on time and explained every day the program. We had a great time chatting about the history, culture, how the ecosystem works and many other interesting topics on the way. Added to that Andrew is a great photographer, he took amazing pics of animals and birds for us.  The highlight of our trip was seeing all the animals like lions, cheetah, elephants, zebras with their babies, running very close to the vehicle and of course the great migration and river crossing. Also, the sunrise and the sunsets were simply stunning.  The vehicle was comfortable, and the accommodations and hospitality exceeded our expectations. We love how they took care of us and celebrated our anniversary in each location with a cake and local dance. Super sweet gesture.   If you're considering a Tanzanian safari, look no further than Gosheni Travel. Very well organized tour with 8 days Safari and 4 days Zanzibar beach. Our Tourguide James(CLH) was the best guide you could imagine. We saw the big 5, all cats with cubs etc. Good accommodations were chosen, the hotairballon is definitely a recommendation

For our honeymoon, Gosheni helped us arrange a safari trip to maximize animal viewings for this time of year in Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, and Northern and Central Serengeti, followed by relaxation on the Zanzibar beaches. We cannot say enough good things about the trip. We’ve never felt so taken care of from the very beginning of communicating with Norah to plan our itinerary to airport pick-up and drop-off. It was an incredibly seamless experience and our lodgings blew us away at each location. Our safari guides (Morris in Kenya and Jovin in Tanzania) truly elevated our experience. They were both incredibly knowledgeable about the terrain and wildlife, and worked hard to ensure we’d have a once in a lifetime experience seeing every single animal possible for this time of year. We had a fantastic time getting to know each of them and felt so comfortable as they navigated us through the countries. We love that Gosheni is also a 100% locally owned business, compared to some of the other safari operators which are owned by European entities. We hope to come back in the future and will certainly be using Gosheni again (and recommending to anyone who tells us they’re interested in traveling to East Africa)!

Our family just finished this amazing Safari journey. From Tarangire National Park to Serengeti, everything is perfect. Special thanks to our guide Prosper, he has over 25 years of guiding experience and could take care of everything on this trip. He cleaned the vehicle carefully and prepared the water and food to ensure everyone was comfortable. Patiently explaining every animal we saw and leaving time for photos. Thanks to his vast experience and familiarity with the area, we saw almost all the animals we were looking forward to seeing! In just a day and a half we saw three spectacular river crossings and every time we could get a good position because he knew how to handle it. Our family appreciated meeting such a responsible and experienced guide!

You will not regret booking with Gosheni! Choosing a safari tour company is overwhelming as there are so many options, but we are SO happy that we chose Gosheni. We booked a luxury safari trip for our honeymoon (5 days safari + 3 days in Zanzibar). Everything was executed smoothly, as they took care of all park entrance fees/documents, and we couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. They are a 100% Tanzanian owned and operated company, so we feel good about supporting the local economy. Norah helped us to plan a customized honeymoon itinerary. The lodges/camps she recommended were also extraordinary, with comfortable accommodations and amazing service. She also quoted a better price for the SAME lodges vs. other tour companies, as they are well connected to the lodges in Tanzania. Our guide, Maurice, was phenomenal. He was highly professional and experienced, he knew exactly where to take us within the vast Serengeti to find interesting animals. By the 2nd day, we saw the Big 5 and a whole lot more. He was a great driver (the terrain is so difficult to drive through, I feel sorry for anyone who decides to self drive) and communicated frequently with other guides to make sure we were in the right spot at the right time. Getting to see the elusive leopards or the unpredictable wildebeest crossings are largely due to luck, but he really went out of his way to try to give us an opportunity to see it. The Toyota Land Cruisers that they use are excellent vehicles with large windows for viewing, a top that opens, and a fridge to keep drinks cool. They also pack hot lunches (vs just a sandwich), and tourists from other tour companies looked at us with envy because we were eating well and riding in comfort. You definitely want to be in a comfortable vehicle when you're out driving in the wilderness all day! HIGHLY recommend Gosheni & Maurice! We experienced the trip of our dreams!

It was an amazing trip overall. We saw many lions including cubs, a rhino, cheetahs, buffalos, and many other animals. Our guide Zadock went above and beyond to show us different animals, and told us many interesting things about the animals and Tanzania. His driving skills were exceptional. Marline (who helped us book the trip) and Jessi (who picked us up at the airport) were super great too! It’s our first time in Africa and we already want to come back. Zadock recommended another trip in Jan and Feb.

Our tour guide Michael was great. The entire safari experience was new for us and we felt the entire time like we had the best guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Oh, and he was a great driver. We underestimated just how much long driving was involved to get from Arusha to the Serengeti. Very difficult driving from the congested city streets of Arusha to the winding bumpy roads in the national park. The park may be the same for all the visitors but the tour guides are not. They are a huge part of the whole experience and we can't say enough good things about our guide Michael. Everyone seemed to know him and was clearly popular with all the other drivers and park staff. He is the mayor of the Serengeti. The company was also very easy to deal with. William was always very quick to respond to all my questions. 2 thumbs up for Gosheni!

During the trip, we saw 5 big, great migration and almost all the animals appear in Eastern Africa. Thanks soooo much to our guide Albert, he is super experienced, helps us to get best chance to see all the animals we want to see. My daughter & I had an amazing African tour primarily due to our guide Ombeni. He was very knowledgeable about both the animals, their behaviors and the tribes that lived in the region. He was also very attentive to our every need. I am a senior so he had a stool to help me in & out of the truck. He frequently asked what we needed and was extremely patient with our endless questions about the region & all of its inhabitants. If you decide to take an African Safari choose Gosheni tours and request Ombeni be your guide.

I selected Gosheni after asking if I could specifically request the guide Ombeni. I saw so many great reviews about him that he is who I wanted. Nora in the office said yes so I got Ombeni! I am very happy with my decision because he could not have been a better guide. The trip was for my 50th birthday and it was myself and my 78yr old mother. Ombeni was very attentive to our needs and requests. He went above and beyond like arranging a birthday cake at a camp on my actual birthday, got a crate (to step on) along our travels to help my mom more easily get in and out of the jeep and raced from one wildebeest crossing to another to make sure we got amazing photos. I could not believe how many animals he could spot and how much information he was able to share with us regarding their mating, hunting / grazing, migration etc. My mother and I had a fantastic time and recommend Ombeni 100%.

The trip is amazing - we saw very close many animals, lions and elephants in big groups, cheetah and Leopard. And also saw twice the wildebeasts crossing the river. Samir is a very helpful guide, always helping us to find the great spot to take photo and very quick in spotting animals. I would highly recommend the trip!
