Great Experience From Marrakech To Chefchaouen
I booked a 5 day trip from Marrakech to Chefchaouen for me and my 2 children with Morocco Road Trips in July this year. Apart from the weather being very hot (I'd recommend going at a different time of the year if possible - we were limited to the school holidays!), the trip was amazing from start to finish. We stopped in Ait Ben Haddou where some of Game Of Thrones was filmed and stayed in Dades Gorges. The kids loved the camel ride in the desert & staying in the tent there overnight. It was like a sauna inside the tent, so we took our sleeping bags outside and slept under the stars! That turned out to be a great experience! We had a city tour of Fes to visit the old medina and the tanneries there. The trip finished in Chefchaouen where we were able to explore the city ourselves. Our driver/guide Hisham we had was great with the kids, and everywhere we stayed was very child friendly. I couldn't really fault anything about it, but I wouldn't recommend going in July.

Stress Free Way To Tour Morocco
My wife and I booked a 6-day desert trip from Tangier, and we visited Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga (1 night in the desert), Dades Gorges and ended in Marrakech. We were going to try to make our way around Morocco on our own using public transport and a rental car, but we were happy that we chose to book a private tour with driver/guide. It's not something we usually do, but getting from one place to another can be difficult to organize. Driving distances are long between locations and some of the roads are not great so it was much more comfortable not having to worry about any of those things. We both really liked Chefchaouen, there was a nice relaxed vibe there and it's a very picturesque city. The company organized a local city guide for us in Fes. Hassan was very knowledgeable about the history and culture, and he had a great sense of humor too! Our favorite part by far was the night we spent in the desert. Riding the camels to camp we got to chat to other travellers, and the food and entertainment in the camp was so unique and something we'll never forget. Booking with this company made our trip a lot more stress free as they took care of the transport, accommodation and guides for us which meant we could just relax and enjoy everything!

Best 10 Day Road Trip Through Morocco?
We just returned from a 10-day trip in Morocco, and our experience with Morocco Road Trips was nothing but positive! Our driver Ali picked us up punctually from our hotel, and we couldn't recommend him enough. He was flexible & adapted the trip on a few occasions to suit our needs which we genuinely appreciated. The vehicle was air-conditioned & comfortable - this was important as some of the drive times between locations were quite long. We had plenty of space to relax while driving, and felt comfortable being able to enjoy the scenery or take forty winks between tourist stops. The accommodation varied between hotels & riads, and we found everywhere we stayed to be clean and comfortable. We had dinner at each when we arrived, and plentiful breakfast buffets every morning. We felt our road trip holiday was an authentic exploration of Moroccan culture & everyone we met along the way couldn't have been more helpful!

The driver (Ali) ruined the whole experience!
Trip was for a 6-day trip, from Tangier to Marrakech. My son and I were very excited about this trip...then it started. There were many little things that we were unhappy with but what really pushed me to write this review was our guide, Ali. First, there was a miscommunication right at the pick-up for day 1. Instead of just saying, "Sorry for the miscommunication" he gives a wise-ass answer instead. Then picks up the smaller luggage, leaving my son and I with the big luggage and proceeds to just walk out of the hotel. Not looking back if we were keeping up with him and not stopping until he was in front of the car. He then began driving in silence. He would talk only to answer questions I had. Then at the end of the first day, I asked him what is a good tip for the boy who would be helping us carry our luggage to the hotel and his answer was, "Whatever you wish." So I said of course but I don't know what is a good amount so what is his suggestion, again the answer was "What you want." He then asked me what time we wanted to be picked up the next day. So I asked him for his suggestion based on what kind of day/drive we will have, his answer, "Whatever time you want." So I insisted, I said you have done this before, what do you suggest..."Whatever you want." The next morning, meeting him for day 2...he does not even acknowledge us, just the boy who was carrying one luggage. He is on his phone and just walks to the car. No helping of the other luggage, no 'good morning'. Then he spends the first 30 minutes of our drive on the phone, on speaker phone. This went on for the next 5 days, the same pattern. What is a guide for when he does not even give the most basic information. On the 4th day, I finally said to him - "I would appreciate it if you give me a direct answer - I will not feel offended if you give me information or suggestions, especially when I am asking for it. So please if you have information that would help me, please share." He then said, "Oh, I think everything is simple right. You know how to handle it." This irritated me but I told him, "Yes, I am very capable but why do I want to waste 10 minutes trying to figure out something when I can just ask you, the guide, and get the answer in 1 minute." HIS ANSWER..."Thank you for telling me that. That is very useful for the next client." And I answered, "Well, it would be useful for me now." He sat in silence. Then continued to do the same for the last 2 days of our vacation. Now, I can tolerate that the only hotel/riad we liked was the first one (in Chefchouan) and the rest either did not have a proper working AC or showers with no pressure. The last riad even had bed bugs (that we did not see the bites of until the end of the day)! What made it a NOT FUN experience was the indifferent and disengaged driver. He was not a tour guide, he was just a driver. I cannot recommend this company at all ONLY because of the driver.

Amazing way to see this beautiful country
Thank you to our driver Ali. We had an amazing trip from Casablanca to Marrakesh over course of 6 days. The variety of landscape was stunning. Our favorite place was Fez. Such a colorful place filled with all the activity of a bustling marketplace. Our accommodation was varied and filled with character. We never felt rushed and enjoyed conversations with our driver Ali. This is definitely the way see Morocco, as a small group at your own pace.

        Highly reccommended
Our family, including our 11-year-old child, embarked on an incredible 10-day round trip of Morocco. Our journey took us through Marrakesh, Casablanca, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fez, Ifran, Azrou, the Merzouga Sahara Desert, Todra Gorges, Dades Gorges, the Roses Valley, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, and back to Marrakesh. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we opted for a private tour in a van with our amazing driver and guide, Ali. We cannot recommend him highly enough; not only was he a skilled driver, but also a genuinely wonderful person. Initially, we had considered planning the tour ourselves, as we are seasoned travelers with over 80 countries under our belts. However, after researching and reading numerous reviews, we realized that the long distances and unfamiliar terrain warranted the expertise of a local agency. This turned out to be the best decision we could have made. With Ali at the helm, we had no stress on the road and had easy access to all the main attractions. Additionally, Ali introduced us to delicious local dishes and shared his extensive knowledge, allowing us to learn a great deal about Morocco's culture and history. We owe a special thanks to TripAdvisor, as it played a crucial role in our decision-making process. The reviews we read accurately reflected the experiences of previous travelers, and we were fortunate to have enjoyed our trip just as much as they did.

        Morocco by Private Driver
Just completed 7 days around Morocco in a private car with 2 other friends through Morocco Road trips and view it as a win! You get flexibility on timing and stops, and can build your own itinerary. Our driver Ali did a great job of getting us to "out of the way places" and difficult to navigate city centers. Our stays were not suburban hotels, so you need to be good with steep walkup stairs and small more basic riads.

        Experience of a Lifetime!
We had a wonderful 5-day trip from Tangier to Marrakesh, with stops in Chefchaouen, Fes, Marzouga, Dades Gorge, and some other quick stops along the way. We enjoyed every part of the trip. Everything was organized for us in advance and the process couldn't have been easier. We had a fantastic driver, Ali, who made the experience even better. He was a great driver, great communicator, and made sure that everything went smoothly. He made sure we were able to get everything we wanted out of our experience. He was incredibly kind and easy to talk to and joke with. We highly recommend taking a road trip through Morocco with Ali and Morocco Road Trips. It was one of the best experiences we've ever had!

BEST 2 WEEKS JOURNEY WITH MOROCCO ROAD TRIPS
My husband, 2 children (7 and 4 years) and I visited Morocco after lots of planning, and we had an amazing holiday! We started in Casablanca, and wanted to do a cultural road trip with the kids. Our trip took us through Chefchouen and the Roman Ruins of Volubilis, Fes, into the Sahara Desert, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakech and Essaouira - to name a few of our favorite stops. One of the things we worried about was how the kids would cope with the journey. Our driver, Mohamed, was so understanding and was great with the kids. He knew when we needed to stop for breaks and snacks, and just to have a bit of a run around! Mohamed spoke English very well, and was able to keep the kids entertained with lots of stories and information about the Imperial Cities and the historical sites we passed on our way. The kids favorite part of the holiday was definitely the stay in the desert. The camel trek was so exciting for them, and I know they'll talk about that for a long time. We loved the luxury accomodation in the desert - the tents were so comfortable, with private bathrooms and showers included! All of the accomodation recommended and booked by Morocco Road Trips was excellent! We loved staying in a variety of traditional riads and hotels during our road trip. We chose this company after much looking around (and based on a recommendation we received), and we couldn't have made a better choice for our family! I can't recommend them highly enough! Thank you Mo and Morocco Road Trips!

        Trip of a Lifetime!!
I wish I could give this trip 10 stars - it was truly so incredible and beyond anything I could have imagined! The entire 6 day trip was so organized and allowed us to see some of the best sights in Morocco. We had a few amazing local guides that showed us around specific cities/monuments which was also a highlight of this itinerary! Our trip was as amazing as it was all because of our amazing driver Ali. From the moment he picked us up, he made sure we were comfortable and happy! He took us to amazing local restaurants along the drive and stopped at many points of interest for photos and exploring. He navigated the winding mountain roads like a pro, and we always felt so safe with him. He made sure all our Riad check ins were smooth, was always on time and was always available if we needed anything. Most importantly, Ali is so positive and so kind. We loved learning about Morocco from him and sharing stories. We are so grateful for Morocco Road Trips and Ali for providing us the trip of a lifetime. Already can’t wait to return to beautiful Morocco!

6 DAY ROADTRIP - LIFE CHANGING
Using Morocco Road Trips was the BEST decision made for our visit to Morocco. Our experience in Morocco was amazing - we LOVED the people, the scenery and the culture. However we know without a doubt that we would not have been able to see or do the activities that we fit into the week without Morocco Road Trips. The distance between the desert and the cities is SO far, but using Morocco Road Trips made the experience seamless and stress free. Having a local driver know the area, best stops for views, coffee and bathroom stops, is so important. We would have been overwhelmed trying to map that out on our own and it is very different than a Canadian road trip, you can’t simply pop through the Tim Hortons drive through lol. The riad accommodations are arranged in advance which again is so helpful because it ensures that you are staying in nice/ safe areas without having to do the significant research that would be needed. Prior to our arrival in Morocco, Morocco Road Trips sales manager Siham provided instant responses to all of our many many questions about the itinerary and travelling to Morocco in general. This incredible customer service ensured we knew what to expect for the trip. In addition to the experiences mentioned above, it was our driver Ali who made sure that our trip was absolutely perfect. Logistically, Ali was on time and there were no issues on the road or with getting to each location. Much more importantly, Ali WAS SO KIND, POSITIVE, and you can tell he really cared about making sure we had the best trip ever. Travelling as 2 young girls we have never felt more SAFE AND AT EASE than in Ali’s care. Ali had great relationships with everyone in the entire country of Morocco!!!! It’s clear that he is well respected which added to our comfort with him. Getting to know Ali over the week was an added bonus to our trip and we will be forever grateful for his support and care. All of the people that provided services during the trip were amazing, but we especially loved: -Youssef and Mohammad at Riad Cordoba -Hamid the local Fes Guide -Mohammad the local guide at Ait Bin Haddou

        Incredible experience, start to finish
My husband and I just finished a 7 day tour with Morocco Road Trips. We got picked up in Marrakech and finished in Tangier. The entire trip was incredible, from the many questions I had booking, down to every detail of the trip. The price was almost half of a competitors that I priced out and this did make me a little cautious, however I suspect our experience was better than any other company. Ali, our driver picked us up in a Mercedes mini van, with it being a private tour, this was an amazing bonus, as I tend to sleep a lot well traveling and I had my own seat to stretch out comfortably. The accomadations selected, were right in town, inside the Medinas and when rural due to the location, they provided us with breakfast and dinner. The sites, people and places we saw were an absolute dream. Ali was a big part of that and we really missed him when we had to make our way around Spain on our own. If I could give Ali and the company extra stars I would. Thank you for an amazing dream trip. Shana & John, Canada

One of the best tours ever!
Cannot recommended this tour highly enough! We did 3 days from Marrakech to Fes and had the best time! Our driver Ali was a legend! Told us a lot about Moroccan history and other interesting things. He knew basically every one in Morocco so knew all the good places to stop on the long drives. We felt safe and looked after the whole time. It’s a long way to the Sahara but SO worth it! Thanks so much Ali! You made our trip!

The tour was unforgettable. My wife and I did the 3 day tour from Marrakesh to Merzouga followed by a long drive to Casablanca - yes yours can be customised as you prefer. Ali is a very knowledgeable guide and a great driver. He took us to local lunch spots and it was a pleasure chatting with him. I'd highly recommend Morocco Road Trips for their seamless organisation and fair price.

        Trip of a Lifetime
I can’t say enough good things about this tour. They were so accommodating with my delay in actually booking due to covid. We did the 6 day tour from Casablanca to Marrakesh. Once we got here and met Ali everything was a dream. He took us to two local BBQ spots for lunch that were amazing! Highly recommend taking his advice for where to stop for lunch. He’s a great driver and got us safely to all of our stops. He was always on time and has so many suggestions and ideas. Ali told us all about the many different landscapes we drove through. The tour is so well organized - the company is great, definitely worth the price. For what you get from the company the price can’t be beat. My husband and I had a great time every step of the way, especially in the desert. All of the hotels they picked were great too. I’d highly recommend Morocco Road Trips to everyone. I don’t usually do tours when I travel but I couldn’t be happier that I found Morocco Road Trips. Ask for Ali, he’s the best!

The 4-day tour (Tangier to Marrakech) was perfect for our 7-day adventure in Morocco! We were able to fit in a lot of amazing sites during our time, and all the lodging was comfortable in the riads and the Sahara desert camp. Ali was an awesome guide/driver! He was knowledgeable, funny, always on time, and made us feel safe. He even paid attention to our expressed interest from the beginning and stopped at some special shops that offered handmade goods. We were horrible at bargaining but at least we knew it was good quality and authentic. The car rides were long, but he made great use of time, we had plenty of stops, and he had a playlist that simply created a nice vibe cruising through the country and Altas Mountains. We even asked him for this playlist and are listening to some of the Berber music right now because it brings back some wonderful memories for us! We were happy to have done the tour before scheduling some free days to explore on our own, but if we had more time, we would have considered doing the 6-day tour so we could have spent more time in Fes. We highly recommend this trip and Ali as your driver!

We have the most awesome and wonderful 5 day trip in Morocco. Our guide Hicham is simply amazing, knowledgeable, helpful, caring and accommodating to our group members of 7 person. Morocco road trip takes us to experience different accommodation from staying in modern hotel to luxury camp and Riad . Our accommodation and transport were clean and comfortable. We have the greatest experience with camel trekking in Sahara Desert. Watching the sunset in the middle of the desert was simply an amazing experience. It leaves us a wonderful and memorable feeling for a life time. This is definitely the best tour experience ever and highly recommend this tour company to anyone.

My wife and I went on our first vacation after the pandemic and we choose Morocco. What a fantastic cultural experience it was. We contacted Morocco Road Trips tour company to take us on a 10 day holiday exploring different attractions of this country. We saw such a vast difference's in landscapes that were only within hours of each other such as being at the ocean one day and in the middle of the desert the next. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about everything from destinations to hotels/riads, to the best and safest roads to take to our destinations. The minivan was clean and air conditioning, the highlight of the trip was the camel trek and the overnight in the luxury camp at Merzouga Sahara desert. I would highly recommend Morocco Road Trips to anyone planning a holiday to Morocco.I would definitely do this tour again, my wife and I really loved it! Thank you

We had an incredible experience on our tour. Ali was an amazing guide and very helpful. We felt safe, and well taken care of. Ali helped make all our Morocco dreams come true. We got to make pottery, eat local BBQ, ride a donkey, and he helped us find the best price for our souvenirs.

Even though we traveled during the hot season, we were very comfortable - with the exception of the tent in the desert. Be prepared that the tent does not have a fan and their in no circulation in the tent. Buy SEVERAL frozen waters before going.

We had the best 4 days ever! We custom made our itinerary to Blue City, Fez, night in desert nomad camp, camel trek at sunset, camel trek at sunrise, ATVing in the Sahara, and a night in Midelt. The van was nice, and I was with my 6 friends on a private tour. Our tour guide Adnen was phenomenal and shared a lot about the Moroccan culture with us throughout the 4 days. The food was good too and nobody got sick:) We paid $350 per person, and we thought we got everything we could have ever wanted out of the experience!!!! I would highly recommend this company!

From beginning to end the tour was well planned, safe, and fun! We took a 4 day tour from Tangier to Marrakech and spent the night in the desert.
On this tour our family had the best opportunity to get to know the diversity, the contrast of the country and the hospitality of the people. The absolute highlight of the trip was the camel riding into the desert to watch the sunset for an unforgettable overnight stay in the luxurious berber camp. It was amazing experience and Ali was a wonderful guide.
the stay in the desert and the camel rides were a major highlight. Everything was so well organised by the guys and they put together an amazing evening that I'm sure none of us will forget anytime soon. I'd absolutely recommend Morocco Road Trips for any travel in Morocco.
      Thank you very much.
This company is very reliable. For the price of this adventure, you cannot beat it! They are very attentive, friendly, open and fun. I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone, and can hopefully go back again!
The next time I will stay in the desert for a longer time.

My friend and I started our 5 day journey through Morocco 8/27/2019 to 8/31/2019. Ali was our guide, and he was hands down the best guide!!! He truly takes care of and looks out for his guests. He made this trip the phenomenal experience that it was. I can’t thank him enough for all that he did for us, and looking out for me (as I was the only female in our party of 2). Ali picked us up in Tangier and our first day was Chefchowen and Fez. The transit time flew by as Ali saw we were interested in learning about the culture and history from our questions. He even made a detour for us to see the Roman ruins!!! He is very knowledgeable and stopped at several scenic places along the way for us to take some epic pictures throughout our journey. He also prepped us with tips and tricks for bargaining and some cultural differences to be prepared for as well as stopped for mint tea or coffee when he saw we needed a pick me up.

Day 2 Ali arranged for a guided tour of Fez with Amina. Highly recommend this as little to no other languages are spoken other than Arabic. Also, is is extremely easy to get lost in the Media with all the twists and turns. Amina was wonderful, feisty, and very entertaining. As one of 3 women tour guides you can tell everyone knows her and respects her based on the interactions. She is a strong lady and knows how to do business!!! She took us to several shops where they taught us how they make their respective trades (pottery, tembroidery, leather, woven fabrics, etc)

Day 3 we headed to the Sahara desert. It was a long drive but Ali made it very entertaining and has great taste in music and even jammed out to some of our local music. He truly missed his calling as a singer - lol!!! We stopped along the way and visited the local monkeys in the Atlas Mountains. Make sure you buy the vanilla wafers to feed them. They are spoiled and don’t like peanuts or bananas as much as they do those vanilla wafers. We ended the day with a camel ride in the desert out to our camp for the night. Make sure you get the luxury camp, it is worth every extra penny. I would also suggest not brining all your stuff and packing what you need in a daypack (which is brought to camp by Jeep) so your stuff doesn’t get all sandy- sandstorms are a real thing, I know this now!!! Ali will take good care of anything you want to leave with him. Also, Ali gave us great advice and took us to get water and wine before we got to the desert because there is no alcohol and water is super expensive. These are the tips and tricks Ali provides that can change your experience along the way!!!!

Day 4 we packed up and opted to ride the Jeep back instead of the camel. One camel ride was enough for me! We headed to the George where we would stay the night! Again, Ali stopped at several gorgeous places along the way for pictures. There was never a dull moment and he kept the the tunes in line with our moods, even when we had to take a nap! The dinner at the hotel he picked was amazing. The chef really out did himself. Ali showed us where the only place to get a drink in town was so we could get a nightcap!

Day 5 we headed to Marrakech and stopped at the museum of cinema and the castle. They were interesting and with the time and climb!

If you get a chance to use Moroccan Road Trips I would highly advise asking for Ali. The service he provided was top notch and his advice truly made our experience what it was. He started as our guide and ended as our friend. Thanks to Ali we had great company, food, wine and memories that will last a lifetime.
