- G7155RNkareng0 contributionsOurika ValleyIf you are researching Atlas Mountain tours and trying to narrow down the best tour guide for your trek or hike, then Abdullatif is highly recommended! He was so informative, patient, kind and helped our 4 year old and other people in our group who were struggling climbing up the rocks. Our hike went as smooth as it could go. We felt safe. Abdullatif clearly had a lot of experience hiking, and made sure we got to the Ourika waterfalls and back to the main ground safely.Written July 3, 2024

- benwC1565FB0 contributionsGet yourselves into the Atlas Mountains for an incredible guided tourGreat day out spending time in the incredible Atlas Mountains. We actually did the 5 valley tour which was well worth it. The Atlas Mountains have the most incredible terrain and home to the Berbers for many 1000s of years. Our tour included a hike up Olrika Valley to see the waterfalls and watch monkeys clamber through the trees stealing walnuts. Huge thank you to our hiking guy Adbellatif who was patient, kind and generous. He provided loads of great information about the area, it’s history and the local area where he and his family had lived for many generations. Our tour included dinner with a beautiful, kind and welcoming Berber family who showed us amazing hospitality and served some of the best food we ate. If you go to Marrakesh you must go to the Atlas Mountains and you should contact Abdellatif to be your guide.Written October 4, 2022

My son and I walked with Abdelatif who waited patiently for us whilst we took many photos and helped us on the more tricky parts. He was so helpful and made it easy for us to reach all the way to the waterfall. We are not experienced in walking like this but It should be doable for all in medium shape.😁Written April 27, 2022

Wonderful tour to the Atlas Mountains and trekking around the mountains and local villages that ended with a late lunch of traditional Moroccan fare.
Our guide Abdel Latif was tremendously helpful and professional. His input really added value to our trip, and it was a pleasure to spend time with him.
Would recommend to anyone interested in experiencing the natural areas of the country, learning about the Berber culture, or simply interested in spending a day away from Marrakech.

Our guide for todays trip up the atlas mountains was amazing they took us through the mountains markets and shown Us how they make the figures out of sand stone. Our guide took time to explain to us all where we were going and what we would be doing next. We ended up at a stunning waterfall with breath taking views and even though the terrain was a little tricky and traverse the guide took care to help everyone across the waters and tough mountain path ways 5 star for our guide 🙏

We had a great day touring the High Atlas mountains but the highlight was Ourika Trek. Abdelatif was our guide who made the whole experience very special. Born and bred in Setti Fatma he has an intimate knowledge of the area, the culture and the waterfalls themselves. His narrative on Berber life and customs was both inspirational and educational. We were a group 6 with a mix of ages and ability but he took great care to make sure everyone made it up and back together and in one piece. As a final bonus we bought some souvenirs (fossils) from one of the stalls on the way back down and he helped enormously in with the tricky process of haggling - he made sure we paid a fair price and no more! What a superstar!

And all this of course at the last minute!

Excellent trip, highly recommended. I went with my husband and my two children aged 6 and 4 respectively. We weren’t sure if we were going to make it up the mountain with our kids but our guide was fantastic, he literally picked up my youngest, took him up the mountain and all the way back down. Great view from the top and loved going the little stalls along the way. The right amount of time spent in each section at the waterfalls itself.

We both had an amazing time. Our driver Moncef was punctual, professional and personable. Our guide was also excellent, he had a vast knowledge of the area (he grew up in the mountains himself), and was keen to tell us about his Berber heritage and its history in the region. 100% recommend! Ps. I would love Moncef or somebody to give the name of our guide as a reply to this as he deserves credit too!

Abdul was an amazing guide for a hike up the Atlas Mountains. He was mindful of everyone’s safety and walked at a pace that suited even the less able, as well as young children. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the views were spectacular and I would absolutely recommend him. Would definitely do a longer hike with Abdul in the future.

Great hike up to see a beautiful waterfall. Guide was very helpful especially with people who were finding the hike difficult. Guide made sure everyone was safe and stayed together as a group and the path is very busy

My friend and I had an incredible experience hiking in the breathtaking Ourika Valley! The stunning views along the way were truly unforgettable, and the highlight was reaching a beautiful waterfall where we could relax and take in the surroundings. For animal lovers, there were plenty friendly animals like monkeys, dogs, and cats to watch and even pet along the way!
A huge thanks to our wonderful guide, Abdel Latif, who made the hike even more enjoyable. He was so kind and considerate, taking into account the different paces and interests of everyone in the group. He ensured that every participant had a fantastic experience. If you’re someone who loves exploring and adventure, this hike is absolutely worth it.
100% recommend — and once again, thank you, Abdel Latif, for your excellent guidance and care!

We had a great day with Abdelatif, who took really good care of us and was very friendly and informative. He was happy to go as far or short as our group wanted to, and went the extra mile by giving us great places to stop along the way - which included a local pottery shop, where we could buy a souvenir. We were a large group and all really enjoyed our day with Abdelatif
