- 694jeandavida0 contributionsUnforgettable trip from the top of of the Attlas to the dunes of the SaharaMy 13 year old son and I did a 9 day tour using the services of Toubkal Guide: a 3-day trek to Mount Toubkal, followed by a 6-day road trip from Imlil to the dunes of Merzouga, ending in Fez. 1) the 3 day trek was a truly wonderful experience, our guide and our muleteer looked very well after us, especially after my son for whom it was quite a challenge to clim the second peak in Africa. We left the atlas with the most remarkable memories. 2) The road trip from Imlil to Fez was a very different experience but nonetheless a brilliant one, beautiful landscapes and sceneries, great choice of accommodations and especially I must say that we had the most amazing driver. Lahcen was very knowledgable about the whole area, always coming forward tho explain the culture of the region or coming up with a relevant interesting fact. He was always trying to make sure we had the best experience and made the trip a lot of fun.Written November 4, 2024
- Maps8217920 contributionsDay Trip to EssaouiraOur driver was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure we met with our local guide and then was immediately available afterwards. He drove safely and was never in a hurry.Written November 1, 2024
- theresa_20190 contributionsBeautiful day trips with friendly guide!I went to Imlil for two nights with Toubkal Guide. They arranged day to day treks for me in the mountains and local villages. I wasen’t able to do a full 3 days trekking, which was the original plan, because a pregnancy, so the flexibility was really great! I went with the guide Ismail and had a really good time!Written October 24, 2024
- mariabG3026DQ0 contributionsBest guides and fun, interesting and hard tripWe have just had the best trip for 3 days at the atlas mountains with your guide, Hamid. I was travelling with my son, 17, and we all had a very good chemistry with Hamid. My son had the time of his life and had much fun with Hamid. We also had our own cook. He was so nice and always was ready with tea, snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We felt safe with the guides and after 3 days close together we felt sad to say goodbye. Thanks HamidWritten October 22, 2024
- Alex H0 contributionsFantastic guided mountain walk from Imlil to Berber villagesOur guide could not have been more helpful and he was brilliant with our 2 young daughters. We left from Imlil with our daughters on mules (with additional handlers) and then went up steep climbs after visiting the local waterfalls. The mules went separately from the waterfalls until we reconnected with them after lunch in the Berber village. Our guide was friendly and spoke English very well and he helped with pictures etc. But most importantly he constantly kept an eye out for our daughters including rebalancing them on the mules after the occasional jog to catch up and also always there with a helping hand over some of the trickier terrain. Fantastic views, great hospitality (with abundant, delicious local food) and all due care and attention. Very much recommended.Written October 22, 2024
- Journeyseverywhere0 contributionsAmazing Custom 9 Day Tour of Southern MoroccoWe are a Canadian couple who booked a custom tour of southern Morocco with Toubkal Guide in October 2024. Our trip included 9 days in the south, with stays in Agdz, Erg Chigaga, Todra Gorge, Dadès Valley, Skoura, and Aït Ben Haddou, and a 1 day hiking trip from Marrakech to Imlil. While we booked our own accommodation, Toubkal Guide will also organize that for clients. Amina from Toubkal Guide was great at communicating, answering all our questions, and helping us plan ahead of time. On October 10, 2024, our driver, Youness, picked us up from Marrakech. We soon learned that Youness was very professional - always on time, very careful, an expert driver with lots of experience and training. The car was a very comfortable Toyota Landrover Prado 4x4; this was an excellent highway vehicle and even more excellent 4x4 for driving through the desert all the way to Erg Chigaga. Youness is also very easy to talk to, fluent in English (also Arabic, Tamazight, and French), and knowledgeable about Moroccan life and culture. He was able to answer our questions, suggest ideas for stops and sights, and point out features of the astoundingly beautiful landscapes. Toubkal Guide and Youness organized local guides for hikes in Todra Gorge, Dadès Gorge, and Imlil for us. All of these expert guides were very interesting and helpful. Youness also contacted our accommodations and ensured that our arrival was expected and that all would go smoothly. Youness helped make every day of the journey a great experience. He is always positive, kind, and helpful - such a wonderful person to share this amazing trip with. We are so happy that we chose Toubkal Guide for this once in a lifetime trip in beautiful southern Morocco. I highly recommend that you contact Toubkal Guide when you are planning a trip in Morocco. You will be in expert hands. And if you are very lucky, you will have Youness as your driver and guide. Many thanks to Toubkal Guide and especially to Youness for this fantastic trip! - Excursion6246810 contributionsAwesome experience on a custom, 9-day tour!We booked Toubkal Guide for a custom. 9-day tour with stops at Imlil, Agdz, Erg Chigaga, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Skoura, and Ait Ben Haddou. We also managed a scenic drive up the Ounila Valley. We booked our own accommodation and they arranged for various guides along the way. We were interested in doing a lot of walking and hiking as we explored new, different places. Overall, it was an excellent experience and excellent value. Youness was our driver and he was very professional, friendly, helpful, and safe. He always had good suggestions and we learned a lot about Morocco from him. I would HIGHLY recommend Toubkal guide. Request Youness as your driver.Written October 18, 2024
- F175ILdylanw0 contributionsHiking was only around 2.5 hoursThis tour seems to focus heavily on upselling, which detracted from the overall hiking experience. While the scenery was lovely, the actual hiking time was around 2.5 hours, and we made several stops at shops and marketplaces. If you're looking for a more immersive experience, I’d recommend opting for longer hikes that focus more on nature.Written October 10, 2024
- bikramb050 contributionsPerfect hike to Toubkal - it couldn't be better! We were in a group of 12 hiking Toubkal, and both our guides, called Mohammed, made this experience one to remember for our lifetime! Everything from the stay at Imlil Lodge, the food, the guidance on the trek, food at basecamp and lunch stops along the way were taken care of. Mohammed also set a pace for us on the final ascent that was manageable by everyone, and made sure we reached the summit in time for sunrise. They are wonderful people and we will remember them for giving us the time of our lives! Don't think twice before booking this Toubkal adventure with them. They deserve everything!Written October 5, 2024
- J7004YHnathanc0 contributionsA great experienceWhat an amazing experience we have had, our guides (Both called Mohammed) were the most knowledgeable about the Atlas mountain range and shared stories and information with us about the surrounding landscape as we trekked through! The accommodation provided was beautiful and very welcoming, we were served so much amazing food but the guides team of cooks and the hospitality throughout the trip was impeccable. A great experience throughout, and I would recommend!Written October 5, 2024
- 319cedricv0 contributionsAmazing experienceWe recently returned from our 3 day trip to climb mount Toubkal and our first 4000+ high mountain. We have had an amazing experience thanks to our guide Mohamed and muleteer (and chef) Omar. We highly recommend Mohamed if you want to have fun and make jokes. Be sure you like Berber whiskey (tea) because you will have to drink a lot of it. Tanemmirt Mohamed!Written October 3, 2024
- KatieB23460 contributionsFantastic experience climbing Mount ToubkalWe recently trekked up Mount Toubkal with our incredible guide Ibrahim. As relatively novice trekkers, Ibrahim guided and supported us every step of the way. He was so funny and as a female only trip of 3 girls, we always felt safe and secure with him. Our cooks were also absolutely fantastic - we couldn’t believe the quality of food they could make half way up a mountain with so little utensils! The trek itself was stunning- the photos just don’t do the mountains justice. There were also multiple opportunities for cold water swimming in the waterfalls and rivers along the way which was a great way to soothe the tired muscles. We loved it and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about giving it a go!Written October 3, 2024
- anitamC2021TL0 contributionsEnjoy the cool and quiet mountainsA wonderful day in the Atlas Mountains. Stunning views of the mountains and green valleys, enjoyed along with the kindness and gentleness of the Berber people. Youness, our driver and guide, showed us his village and opened his family home to us. An absolute treat. Thank you.Written October 2, 2024
- jamesmQ8454CC0 contributionsA must do from MarrakechWhat a great thing to do if you’re pushed for time. Our driver Youniss made everything friendly, relaxed and informative. 10 out of 10. James from AustraliaWritten October 2, 2024
- johanbB2123LK0 contributionsFour day hike with Jbel ToubkalWe went on a four day hike in the Atlas mountains with Mohammed Sarqzi. We had a great time, Mohammed was a fun and knows a lot about the mountains and the Berber culture. It was also nice that we could adjust the trip depending on what we wanted along the way. The trip was very well organised with a car picking us up near our hostel. Along our trip we had many lovely Morrocan meals made by Mustafa.Written October 2, 2024
