This full-day trip to the Ouzoud Falls, North Africa’s highest waterfalls, makes what could be a long journey via public transport feel short, with air-conditioned minivan transport. You won’t waste any time getting to the falls as your guide shows you the best routes, allowing time for an optional swim and boat ride (own expense) up to the cascades. Plus, hotel pickup and drop-off in Marrakech are included, departure at 8h00 from Marrakesh heading the direction of the famous Ouzoud waterfalls of about 110 metres in height, which constitute one of the most spectacular natural beauty spots in Morocco. The surrounding countryside offers red cliffs, oleander and doves. And if you are lucky, you will catch a glimpse of some Barbary apes. Bird-watchers will enjoy a trip to the waterfalls, in addition to walkers who can enjoy the area at any time of year. There are plenty of places to have lunch with a view over the waterfalls from their terraces. A short walk will bring you to the top of the falls from where you can see small and constantly active mills.

    Worth it
All in all, an amazing adventure with beautiful scenery and very accomodating guides and driver. The desert camping was a definite highlight! It was perhaps a little too much driving for just two days but I guess that’s the price you pay if you want to see the Sahara from Marrakesh. Also be sure to pack any motion sickness medication should you need it as the road is very winding. But do not be put off, it’s all worth it . Thanks karim

    Zagora desert experience
Amar was a fantastic guide and took care for all our needs and wishes. He spoke fluent enlgish and spanish and was there to answer all our questions. Therefore I learned a lot about the country and culture. The night in the desert was an amazing experience! Highly recommended

    Worst Travel experience ever
The worst travel experience ever!!! Firstly, the maximum number of people shown on the website is 15, but we were arranged to a bus with people more than 30. Secondly, we didn’t ride a camel during the sunset time and the company refused to refund to us. Even worst, the guide said it was not his problem and did nothing to compensate to all the travelers, even did not apologize to us. According to the lunch, they sent us to a restaurant with slow food serving, we spent 1h30mins in lunch so we didn’t make it to ride a camel in sunset time. Overall, it is the worst travel agency ever!!! I would definitely not recommend it! ! !

We really enjoyed the tour with Karim and would happily recommend it! Despite the long drive, it was totally worth it, the stops were great, especially Ait Ben Haddou. The highlight was the night in the camp in the desert, really beautifully and tastefully laid out clamping and the food was also great! I would recommend this trip from Marrakesh to everyone!.

    This trip might be disappointing...
I want to try to be balanced in my review there were some good parts and some not so good. We looked around and chose this particular trip because it stopped off at Aït Benhaddou and Atlas Studios in addition to the Zagora desert. However if you want to see either of these places then don't book this trip. I feel that the trip was misrepresented on several counts.... Firstly, the time to desert is NOT 6 hours as the itinerary suggests, it is more like 9 hours each way. Our driver was not slow, he overtook everything on route. There were others on the trip who had the same issue and had children with them that would never have booked this trip if the true length of time in the bus was properly represented. Secondly, we arrived at Aït Benhaddou, and were delivered into the hands of a guide. He said he would take us to a spot to take photos, we crossed a dry river bed and were marched up to the vantage point. The whole point of being at Aït Benhaddou is to take pictures of the marvellous place itself and NOT take pictures of the surrounding countryside looking out, so the whole vantage point was of the surrounding area! Why? Then we were marched down from the vantage point to the scarf shop to buy scarves, because "we would need them as we were going to the sahara desert, where the sun would be very strong and the sand would be choking." . We spent as long in the scarf shop as we did in the beautiful Unesco world heritage site. We were then marched to a dining hall which had 6 fixed options for lunch (no deviation from the fixed offering at all). So the entire time in Aït Benhaddou, excluding the scarf shop was 15 minutes in total, plus 15 mins in the scarf shop (to buy overpriced scaves), plus an hour getting served lunch (which wasn't included, but we knew that it was an extra). I felt cheated about the actual time we got in the place itself. Then back on the van for many more hours of driving. The driver could have talked to us enroute, but chose to be mute apart from instructions about how long each stop was. As a driver he was OK, as a guide he was non existent. We eventually arrived at the Zagora desert at 17:45 and got loaded on to camels in a carpark. Many members of the trip felt cheated about the "desert" as they had expected big sand dunes and said that it was little different from the Agafy desert 30 minutes outside of Marrakech I.e. some sand and lots of stones. Again questioning why they had endured such a long drive. We had done some homework and knew we shouldn't expect huge sand dunes as the Zagora desert is the steps of the Sahara (like being in the foot Hills of the Himalayas, not the peak of Everest). Note the time of arrival was about 15 minutes before sunset (in March) and therefore the overpriced scarves that we had been given the hard sell on, were not needed to shelter us from the Sahara sun, as there was only about 15 minutes left of daylight. It also was not blowey either, so nobody needed the scarves that had been sold, other than to tie around their heads in a bid to look Arabian. The camp/settlement was good. The food was good, as was the hospitality of the people there. We enjoyed the campfire and there were no complaints about the accomodation. The next morning some of the group went quad biking (extra charge) and the rest went back to the van on the camels again. Then back on the van for the (very long) journey home. But that was OK, we still had Atlas Studios to look forward to. We stopped for 15 mins, "to stretch legs" in Ouarzazate. This was not time enough to visit the museum of cinema (whose carpark we were in) or to see anything other than a carpark. Then onto Atlas Studios ten minutes up the road. The driver announced we could have "5 minutes for photos" of the outside of Atlas Studios! Considering the itinerary said that entrance fee to Atlas were not included, a reasonable person would assume that you might actually get long enough to go inside! Taking a tour group to an adervtised attraction but not allowing time to visit it, is like taking your kids to Disneyland, then not allowing them to go inside! The whole van of (pissed off) people told the driver not to even bother stopping if all we were going to get was a picture of the outside! The rest stops throughout the trip were always to isolated places with nothing around them. Intentionally so. So you did not get a choice of places to go to eat, you could only eat at the overpriced tourist places where the kick back was the largest and the most profit could be made. And always places that only had a fixed price, fixed menu that was, in our opinion, overpriced. So please keep this in mind when considering booking this trip, or else you too will be disappointed and feel that this trip was misrepresented.

We had such exciting and breathtaking days on the tour. All the activitie s were seamlessly connected . and we gained a lot of knowledge about the Berber way of life and the places we visited. The desert camp setup really impressed us the tents had comfy beds, and the bathroom facilities were quite good. Our driver, Ali, was unfailingly friendly and considerate during the entire trip, ensuring our safety from Marrakech to Zagora and back . Thanks for all

    Incredible experience
Amazing trip. I did with my girlfriend. Excellent follow up in every moment of the trip. We have to call them in a moment at lunch; right in the middle of the journey and they resolve everything in just minutes. The local guide was incredible; funny; kind and took really care of the group. Specially with my girlfriend and another girl who weren't feeling very well in certain moments. An incredible and must do experience.

The excursion is perfect, a long journey but totally worth it! When we arrived at the area, they divided us into groups, each guide took his own, separated by language, and began the route with a good explanation of what we were going to see, how we were going to do it and, above all, advising us at every moment. A very good experience

"I really liked the available logistics to reach Ouzoud, from a comfortable vehicle to smooth and guided driving. The beauty of it is that there are many places to visit individually, but there are details, facts, and stories that only a knowledgeable guide can provide. Thank you for this beautiful experience

Excellent trip, with a fun bus group and the tours split at the waterfalls into language groups. Make sure to have shoes with good grip for the trek down and possibly a rain coat if you do the boat ride (more of a quick raft float) as they go almost directly into the waterfall. Beautiful area and informative guide. An excellent day!

Super satisfied, driver very nice, and the guide was super nice. We went two people, one of us is in a wheelchair, and the guide guy was super nice and helpful, really recommend taking the tour. Amazing waterfall view. They even found a good place for a wheelchair to see the beautiful view. The food was super good. The driver o guide guy had a lot of respect, o patience. It's not easy to have wheelchair users with you in the group, but they took care of us in the best possible way. Highly recommend that activity to anyone even wheelchair users. Many thanks for a wonderful experience and a wonderful day. Thanks
