About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Travelpapi1530 contributionsA bucket list activity in MoroccoThis sunset camel ride in the desert was an absolute trip highlight. My wife and I first of all appreciated how well taken care of all of the camels were. Going at sunset was a treat because of the tremendous photo opportunities and the lesser amounts of people around. We were treated to a slow gentle ride around the desert landscape, had our pictures taken and given delicious months at the end. The sunset was gorgeous and we ended up with beautiful photos as memories for life. Please remember to tip well and take care of everyone who participates with your memorable event. We booked this through our Riad and were provided door to door service. We didn’t want a packaged meal and fire event as we heard the food was average and the camel ride only 15 minutes. This tour enabled us to ride about by ourselves with our guide only. Enjoy and inquire at your Riad for specific details. You will not be disappointedWritten December 11, 2024
- mrsmilano0 contributionsLong minibus ride to get anywhere!Pick up said 4.30 but was changed to 3.30 meaning we had to change plans to get to the meeting point in time. After almost a 2 hour drive through city on various pick ups we stopped off at an Argan oil co-operative for tea, bread, oil & Moroccan version of Nutella! It wasn’t a pushy hard sell but as there was no mention of this in the booking we felt it unnecessary as there’s so many Argan oil places around anyway. Finally on the the desert - don’t expect sand, it’s rocky terrain. Sky is amazing as sun goes down. The camels are tied so closely together & seemed in distress with the men in charge hitting them to lie down. We decided not to participate. A dead camel was visible only a short distance away which wasn’t nice. I know it’s a different culture but it’s our opinion that it felt cruel. Dinner was tasty and sufficient. Music was monotonous. Show was mediocre. Journey back was quicker thank goodness! Our guide Youppy worked very hard to please, he was very enthusiastic and entertaining. Chraf was a competent driver. 6 hours for around £20 is good value if you want to take part in this event.Written December 3, 2024

- K3129FWpamelag0 contributionsFun! Needs minor tweakWas a great experience however the vehicle was not air conditioned and due to the long journey we were all booking and fatigued. Our tour guide Raabia was lovely, funny and charming and the show was amazing and interactive!Written July 8, 2024
- alf54990 contributionsBeautiful experience!Amazing experience! Mustapha really looked after us! You won’t regret it! We had a stop in a really cosy place where they offered us a really good tea, then went to this beautiful place on the Atlas Mountains where they gave us a really nice soup, then went on the camels and so much fun with food, music and show while we were enjoying the sunset! Definitely recommend!Written June 21, 2024
- PaolaR2860 contributionsDesert dinnerI a going to be very honest. The car did not have aircon so it was kind of uncomfortable to travel with the windows opened and all the dust from outside. The tour guide showed some areas of opportunity, I think you should train them better before sending them on tours, particularly when they are in charge of a large group. She was not leading the group. The dinner was okay and the show we could see the first, although the second show we could tell what was happening as our guide did not explain.Written June 2, 2024

- Coastal410972391560 contributionsNo trip to Marrakesh is complete without this! Book now!An amazing experience and a must-do activity for everyone. Many companies run these kind of excursions, but I would recommend everyone use this company; our tour guide, Khalid, was outstanding, knowledgeable, and caring. They picked us up from our accommodation (you just had to message them your location and they will pick you up). At the first stop, we were given some tea and bread, enjoyed with several fresh argan oil dips, after which we were shown how argan oil is produced (with the option to purchase argan oil cosmetics at a very fair price). We then travelled into the desert where we enjoyed a camel ride. After this, everyone is invited to a traditional Moroccan dinner under tents, overlooking outstanding views especially as the sun sets. The food consisted of soup, followed by couscous, tajine, and then cake with tea. The food was excellent, especially the couscous which had so much flavour. Here we were served by another gentleman (also called Khalid), who was lovely; all the people who served and cooked the food were so considerate and kind, catering to every request. After the sunset, there was an amazing fire show to round off the evening before we were taken back to our accommodation. I cannot overstate how amazing this experience was and I recommend it to everyone, especially since the price is so low; I would have happily paid double the price for the experience (and we happily surprised our tour guide with a tip!) A tip for those who do go; after sunset, step behind the tents and look up at the stars; you will not regret the view! For Muslim visitors, make sure you ask the guides for prayer spaces and they will happily show you places to pray at all times. Praying Maghrib and Isha in the desert was very spiritual!Written January 6, 2024

Our guide Lahcen Mansouri was excellent! He was so knowledgeable, helpful and funny! He was informative throughout, stopped to get us water and was always on hand to help out. He was patient on the hike and helped to serve up the food in the restaurant and also offered to take pictures throughout. The camel ride was fantastic and the hike in the mountains was spectacular! It was cold at the end so take a jumper and I felt very travel sick on the bus (not unusual for me) so I would recommend taking some travel pills before the journey if you are the same. An excellent day with lovely people! Just book this trip you won’t regret it! Merci Lahcen

My friend and I had a terrific time on this day tour from Marrakech. Our driver’s name was Hamid and our tour guide’s name was also Hamid. Both did a phenomenal job. The driver Hamid went out of his way to help another traveler shop and find a good deal on a Berber rug. Our guide Hamid took us on a very nice hike to a waterfall and took us to a small restaurant in one of the Berber villages. The lunch here was by far the best food we had anywhere in Morocco. Overall had a great time on this day trip and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.

My wife and I took this excursion because of the good reviews it had, the truth is that it was a total disappointment, starting with the guide and ending with the driver, the driver to begin with did not turn on the air conditioning, it was very hot inside the mini bus, When we told him he told us that it was on and it was a lie, it only had the fan, then after the first stop he did set the air, 26 or 27 degrees. At least it was a little cold, referring to the description of the excursion (Walk through a Berber village), the first stop was at an esplanade where there was a store to buy products and from that place he showed us the Berber village that unfortunately was completely destroyed by an earthquake, we didn't see anything. The guide was the only moment in which he explained something to us about his culture and customs, the rest of the excursion did a little but almost nothing. At one of the stops we both talked and I was talking to him about the air conditioning and he was shocked. to tell me how much he had paid for the excursion and that for that money he wanted, he told me one thing is what the excursion says and another thing is what there was, I was in Morocco, very unprofessional, the Atlas mountains and three valleys The minimum is that the guide would have explained some things to us or at least when we passed, I didn't find out anything. The food they gave us was very little, the waterfall wasn't bad, and neither were the camels.

Great day trip through the Atlas Mountains and the villages that comprise it. The walk to the Imlil waterfall is very beautiful and through scenes of daily Moroccan and Berber life. Both the guide and the driver are very professional, and with the opportunity to eat (good and affordable) at a spectacular viewpoint. Highly recommended.

We had an attraction booking through booking.com and the trip was excellent. We got picked up by a guide and driver person called Hamid and the mountain guide was again another Hamid his full name is Hamid Imoden who was calm and very friendly. He explained various cultural aspects about Morocco and very patient throughout the journey. Assisted us not only to the mountain also to shops which were cheaper. The lunch was not included but he took us to a lunch which was delicious and not too expensive.

The whole trip is very organized from the first stage, the pick up that is straight to your hotel, after that with a lot of passion we’ve been brought to visit some of the most beautiful places around Marrakech, the oldest village, the argan cooperative and the mountains with the waterfalls, in every single step we had the opportunity to buy unique items and food with an excellent explanation of the tour guide Yassine Zagora who is simply amazing, professional and available. The experience also includes a taste of the Moroccan delicacies with a breakfast in the cooperative with local sourced products and a full lunch (paid separately for only 7€ each). The final experience, the camel ride is simply unmissable and amazing while being served moroccan tea just before.

It is a very nice excursion to spend the day, they take you to see how argan oil is made at a women's association and although they take you and teach you how to buy, at no time do you feel obligated to do so, they show you a waterfall and you They take them to eat at a restaurant with delicious typical food.
As soon as the camels cut the ride short, but the boy who was taking us took our cell phone and OLÉ, he did a piece of report on us.
As for the guide Bouttar Mohammed, I give him a 12 because ten falls short, very attentive and explaining everything we asked him. The people on the excursion were very correct. A very nice day.

we loved the experience. Moba picked us up at 9:00 outside cafe de france. We asked for a Spanish-speaking guide, and Moba spoke both Spanish and English. Amazing! took us to some spots with views over the Atlas Mountain, then we stopped to see how Argan oil is made, in a women's cooperative. there we drink mint tea and bread with delicious almond butter. Then we went on a camel ride, and finally we went to imlil for lunch. in the afternoon we walked to the Imlil waterfalls, passing through rural areas. very cute! regarding the guide (Moba), 5 stars! friendly and helpful!

This excursion was amazing!! I am originally from morocco, but currently live in the United States. As a native of the country, I can say that the itinerary and quality of this excursion is one of the best. We started the day exploring the Atlas Mountains, making stops for photos and shopping and snack. We had a delicious lunch on a rooftop in the middle of the valley, then spent the afternoon on a fun hike, getting acquainted with traditional Berber architecture, leading us to an impressive waterfall for tea and refreshments. The days ended with a magical camel ride, followed by a confortable ride home recounting the days event a with many new friends from our tour group. I went along with one other girl friend, we felt completely safe and had an amazing time! The tour guides are awesome, they speak multiple languages and are extremely accommodating. This excursion is top notch! I could not think of a better way to explore the amazing moroccan country side and immerse in the culture. Don’t miss out. :)

Hey Trecking Atlas Mountain Tours,
we would like to book the tour with you for tomorrow.
Luckily we already have a hotel in Imlil to continue our tour to the peak of atlas and so we would love to rest in Imlil after our tour. We would have one suitcase with us.
Is this possible? We would book immediately!
Thanks!
