About
Take a full-day private trip to Essaouira, one of Morocco’s most attractive coastal towns. Admire its undeniable charm, with whitewashed and blue shuttered houses, art galleries, wood workshops, fishermen and colorful boats, all enclosed by ancient red walls. Your private tour starts with pickup at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Departure from Marrakech, driving through lush valleys filled with orange groves, ancient olive trees, and working farms. Stop at Chichaoua for a coffee or snack. Continue past your first Argan trees. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic, and medicinal properties. A relic species from the Tertiary Period, it is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of southwestern Morocco and, while now endangered, under the protection of UNESCO.

Fantastic Private Tour with Excellent Service!
We recently went on a private tour and had an amazing experience, thanks to our driver, Joseph. From the moment we met him, he was incredibly accommodating and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Even though there were a few initial misunderstandings about some pre-booked activities, Joseph handled everything quickly and efficiently, ensuring we could relax and enjoy our time. The tour itself was fantastic, and we highly recommend it! It’s such a flexible option, especially if you’re traveling with family and small children, compared to going with a larger group.

It was a wonderful experience in the little village and the mountains. The driver Yassin was very friendly and funny. And our guide was so kind. The lunch at the end was very delicious with a view on the little river.

          lovely day
had a wonderful day today with our guide and our driver omar. the waterfall is extremely busy when you get there so you don’t really get a look in at it, but the walk up and down is nice and there’s a cafe at the top. you get to go thru all the little stalls and streets on the way up, and the spot for lunch is right by the stream enough that you can put your feet in. the food was lovely and well priced, overall a very nice day. be aware the walk up and down to the waterfall is steep im some places with rough footing, a bit of a scramble, so wear comfortable and grippy footwear, it’s very doable though

          A True Berber Experience
Everything about this day was perfect! Would suggest to wear comfy walking shoes, that you don't mind getting messy, as well as dressing warm! The valley can become quite cold. Omar, our guide, is very friendly, with a warm personality, extremely knowledgeable, with a passion for describing the life of a Berber & Morocco, as a whole. His level of care for all guests was apparent with his helpfulness & attentiveness throughout the day. It's more than running a business, you could tell how important educating tourists to the Moroccan lifestyle is to Omar. We experienced everything described in the package. Started the day off with a lovely camel ride & Omar's photography skills are exceptional & beyond anything we could have asked for! After, we chatted under a camel-hair-made-tent, learning about the life of a Berber, how Islam became the prevalent religion, & interesting facts about Morocco! Then, we moved onto the next activity, learning about the infamous Aragon nut. We had a lovely Berber breakfast, which was so delicious! My favorite was the bread & peanut butter (Moroccan style, of course). Would have loved to have purchased a bottle, but they didn't sell any. However, they did sell a lot of aromatics derived from the Aragon nut, to help with any ailments you may have, or for any beauty experiences you wanted to have. Then onto the Atlas Mountains! Such a beautiful mountain. It was raining & even hailing a bit, as we arrived, so Omar got us each umbrellas so we could stay dry on the hike to his family's home. We were greeted with so much love by Omar's family, when we stopped in for a home-cooked meal. And being vegetarian, I was made a special meal & dessert, too. That dessert was the best thing I tasted! Orange slices with a dusting of cinnamon & sugar - so good! Being that the valleys were cold, due to the rain & hail, Omar's family provided us with jackets to stay warm. After lunch, we hiked some more to the first waterfall, that streamed from the top of the mountain down, providing a cascade-like affect. Really beautiful. At the top, we were able to see the three valleys & received history about the Berber people & their life in the mountains. And, the variety of fruit trees native to Morocco. As the group decided to forge ahead, we trekked to waterfall number two & what a sight! Absolutely gorgeous waters! Breathtaking. The hike there was really scaling down the side, climbing over rocks, & walking the path...all in rain, to get to the waterfall, but it is worth it! The rushing waters are so calming, I could stay there for hours. So happy Omar gave us the option to see this (since it was raining & all) & he chose the safest way to go. And, not forgetting to mention all the help he provided to me, holding my hand so I wouldn't fall & guiding me to safety until I could manage the walk on my own. I loved my Atlas Mountains excursion so much! Would definitely recommend Omar's company & if in Marrakech, I will sign up for this tour again!

          ***OUTSTANDING - AN ABSOLUTE MUST***
Omar was the best tour guide ever. If he was leading and supporting Frodo instead of Sam the LOTR trilogy would have been a single movie. He was so tentative, patient, interesting and knowledgeable that he himself was as much an attraction as the rest of the day. If you’re worried about your fitness level or hiking capabilities. Don’t be. I almost cancelled after overthinking if I could do the hiking part after rolling my ankle on a mountain hike in the past and being a pretty big fella. The outcome was that there was nothing to worry about and I was rewarded with an incredible experience for remaining calm and resilient. There was one lady who was physically challenged in a few ways. Omar took it upon himself to be her personal guide and Sherpa and held her hand regularly to ensure she safely completed the climb and decent. The food was stunning. The best thing we ate. So bountiful and filled with love put in by the family who’s home we were welcomed in as guests. The camel ride was very calm as the animals were very chilled and relaxed as were the gentlemen that look after them. And the Argan oil location was also impressive - I’ll leave that as a surprise to you all. There was also a few road side stops for photo opportunity and leg stretching moments for good measure which were cool. We also came together and connected well in our group of 8 sharing stories of our time in Marrakesh so far and where we all came from. This certainly added to the day as everything was more fun that way. Be sure to bring plenty of Dirham for tips here and there to show gratitude. Believe me, you will want to. As you’ll be treated impeccably all day long. Thanks again Omar and all the best for the future.

An interesting walk through the labyrinthine Soukh along the fortress walls and visiting authentic artists in traditional settings. Also delightful local cafes selling cheap but good quality food and drinks. The street traders are not too pushy either. Recommended
