- rosegY9766DX00Highly recommend! It was a amazing experience !!! Highly recommend going for the sunset camel ride. Our driver, Karim, was very helpful and attentive. Our guide, Mohamed, was also great and very professional. It was a great time we will never forget!
- A2191ECwendyc00Desert reviewWelcoming, enthusiastic staff. Excellent food and entertainment. Camel ride fantastic experience. Excellent value for money.
- Explorer56971300***OUTSTANDING - AN ABSOLUTE MUST***Omar was the best tour guide ever. If he was leading and supporting Frodo instead of Sam the LOTR trilogy would have been a single movie. He was so tentative, patient, interesting and knowledgeable that he himself was as much an attraction as the rest of the day. If you’re worried about your fitness level or hiking capabilities. Don’t be. I almost cancelled after overthinking if I could do the hiking part after rolling my ankle on a mountain hike in the past and being a pretty big fella. The outcome was that there was nothing to worry about and I was rewarded with an incredible experience for remaining calm and resilient. There was one lady who was physically challenged in a few ways. Omar took it upon himself to be her personal guide and Sherpa and held her hand regularly to ensure she safely completed the climb and decent. The food was stunning. The best thing we ate. So bountiful and filled with love put in by the family who’s home we were welcomed in as guests. The camel ride was very calm as the animals were very chilled and relaxed as were the gentlemen that look after them. And the Argan oil location was also impressive - I’ll leave that as a surprise to you all. There was also a few road side stops for photo opportunity and leg stretching moments for good measure which were cool. We also came together and connected well in our group of 8 sharing stories of our time in Marrakesh so far and where we all came from. This certainly added to the day as everything was more fun that way. Be sure to bring plenty of Dirham for tips here and there to show gratitude. Believe me, you will want to. As you’ll be treated impeccably all day long. Thanks again Omar and all the best for the future.
- sabinevY5409AW00breathteaking-an experience-meeting with localsIt was an experience. I really appreciate how he made an effort to connect with us individually, bring us to stunning viewpoints, and share so many stories about his experience living in the Atlas Mountains. My favorite part of the trip was having the opportunity to eat a delicious lunch at his family home. The generosity and thoughtfulness that he puts into designing and leading the trip made this day one I won’t forget!

Wasim, our guide, was nice. The only problem with the group was, that one lady was much slower than everyone else, which impacted on our schedule. We arrived at our last stop, the optional camel ride 30 when we were supposed to be back in Marrakech. Another tea break, the dressing up in supposedly traditional clothes, the getting on the camels, the ride etc. would at least have taken another hour and an addtional 25 minute drive back to Marrakech. 4 of the group opted out of the camel ride and after some negotiation got a cab back home from the tour operator. A word regarding the camel ride: There were several adult camels and two babies. All of them were bound to the ground with one foot, one baby had to kneel down in order to drink. There was a tent and tea for the tourist and the whole dressing up procedure in clothes and scarves that, I assume, hundreds of other tourists wore before. The place where the camel ride took place was a vast and empty piece of land right next to the road. Anything but scenic. A classic touristic rip-off and I suppose the animals are not treated well. So I oped out.
The tour was okay, it took longer than expected, the waterfall was alright but nothing glorious, the tajine in a berber house for lunch was good, they also had a vegan option, the view was fantastic (Atlas mountains in the back).
Pick-up and drop-off where fine. There was no water (except at lunch), several tea stops, Wasim (the guide) was keen on keeping everyone happy. It was a nice change of pace compared to busy Marrakech. The mountains look fantasic.

With lots of options available we ended up booking this tour as it was great value and we were definately not disappointed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great introduction to Berber life and culture, had a very tasty authentic lunch experience and did a little hike which included visiting a waterfall with the beautiful views of Atlas mountains surrounding us at every step. Definitely recommended!

Please read this entire review. This was a GREAT experience but there are a few warnings. Our first stop was for some biscuits and tea and we sang with seasoned ladies who were making argon oil. It was a delightful time. There was an opportunity to but some spices there if you wish. This was the last time we saw a toilet for the rest of the day. We then went to a town an did a hike up the atlas mountains. We were not told we should seek out a bathroom before going up the hill which would have been useful. We had great weather so we thoroughly enjoyed the challenging hike. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall for a drink and pics and continued our journey. The hike up the mountain was about 90 minutes. Be prepared if you are not used to hiking as it could be a challenge. Our guide Rachid was excellent, he talked to us along the way about the Berber culture and the views of the valley were spectacular. We had lunch after a long journey up the mountain at his house. The food was amazing from the variety of salads to the tagines. You must be prepared that there is no commodes in the house, just a hole with places to put your shoes. If you took immodium and only had to do #1, you are good to go. Those with stomach aches or other intestinal issues, beware. It is not easy squatting over a 4-inch hole in the ground. The trek down the hill was easier. We got to the bus (no bathrooms at the bottom of the hill) and made our way on the bus to camel riding. We had so much fun dressing like camel riders, taking a caravan of camels journey, and drinking mint tea. This was one of the highlights of the day (although I wish there was a bathroom at some point). The 10 hour tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it. Just wear sneakers for the hike, bring your immodium, and don’t drink too many liquids)

It was one of the most beautiful trips I ever made. Wasim is a great guide and he really makes his tour special. It's not like all the tours from the big Touristagencies. After the pick up ( he will pick you up from the hotel) we went to a camel ride where the stuff took some amazing pics while we were on the camel, after that we went to an argan oil production and had a snack. After a drive to the mountains he took us to his home in a Berber village and even if it where alot of steps it's was worth every single one of it. We had a really great day and the food was so good. I would highly recommend everyone to go with Wasim , he knows alot about his culture and people the Berbers. I learned alot ,while having so much fun.

We were led by Ibrahim our tour guide on the trip. They were very kind and picked us up from our hotel which was outside the main Medina, in the new part of the city. The first stop was a camel ride, which gave us a chance to socialise and interact with the rest of the group over a cup of Moroccan mint tea. The camel ride was a good experience with good photo opportunities. The next stop was an Argan oil shop, Argan oil is a special oil only produced in Morocco and useful for a lot of skin and hair conditions. They gave us breakfast with bread and different oils there which was nice and also a demonstration on how oils are made. We then continued on in the coach to the mountains and went along the route where mission impossible 5 was filmed. We alighted and did a 1 hour walk where we stopped at the waterfall, the walk was very picturesque in the backdrop of the snow capped Atlas Mountains and the waterfall was beautiful. We then returned to our guide’s village and had lunch on the rooftop of his house and the views of the mountains were spectacular. He provided traditional home cooked Moroccan food - tagines and cous cous which was very flavoursome. Overall a great trip. The walk would be a struggle for senior citizens but most of our group was middle aged or young so nobody had a problem.

We had a great trip with Rashid up to the Atlas Mountains. He was very knowledgeable on the whole trip being a berber man himself and from the mountains.
We had lots of lovely stops on the way. First of all we stopped of at a women's argan oil cooperative and had some bread and mint tea which was amazing to experience and then onto a market.
After a drive up to the mountains which had amazing views Rashid was very informative always giving us information. We were then taken to his home in a Berber village which had a lot of steps up but it was worth it. This was all finished of with a lovely camel ride.
We had an amazing day and the food was the best we had in Marrakech in the whole 3 days we spent there. This is one of the best tours I have done and we look forward to seeing Rashid again when we make a trip back to marrakech.

The tour to the Atlas mountains with Wassim was very enjoyable. You get what is in the description and even more. The guide gives a lot of information about the scenary and about Berben customs. He is also very good in anticipating the group. During the tour you get 2 times tea with a snack and later also a terrific meal at a traditional Berben family. I had a great day!

Really had a wonderful time on this tour and experienced Berber culture first hand. The camel trip was such a bonus and the tour guide was very welcoming and hilarious. Rachid was our guide and spoke 5 languages and really went the extra mile to help when we forgot our bag containing our passport on the minibus.

This was an amazing experience, met really nice people there. Tour guide was Wasim, and he was the best guide ever! He had a lot of knowledge and he was super friendly. He was not only a tour guide, but also a host (we drank tea in his family home in a Berber village). The food was amazing, and camel ride funny. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who has some free time while spending holidays in Marrakech. The food was amazing!

Bonjour Madame, Monsieur.
Cordialement.

We are here now in Marrakech and it is sunny and beautiful. Coastal cities were rainy and chilly last week but it was 20-24 for us this week here in Marrakech. It was even warm in the mountains.

What temperature is it in December? Have booked and hoc but not sure I have the right clothes! Will I cope in converse?

It's quite chilly in the morning, but during the day it will warm up. However, I suggest you to bring something else than converse, since it might snow out of the blue, or maybe it snowed the day before. I used different layers of clothing, started with t-shirt, sweater and heavy jacket, and removed them during the hike

Hi,
Is this suitable to do with one year old child?
How much of climbing is involved?
Do you offer vegetarian lunch option?
Thanks
Sumerah Rauf

Hi,
I went on this trip 2 weeks ago and the climbing is quite intense- which I think wouldn’t be suitable for a 1 year old, we had to walk quite a bit to get to the waterfall, so you may get extremely exhausted after holding the child for so long. However, on the bright side one of my fellow tourists was a vegetarian and so she got the vegetarian option.
Hope I could help!
