Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- N7537KMmarkh0 contributionsGroup Atlas tour including Toubkal SummitWe did a 6-day trek for university exercise science students, including the summit of Toubkal. All staff and students enjoyed the experience immensely, and the staff team is looking forward to returning next year. The tour team were friendly, highly-experienced, and professional throughout, prioritising the health and safety of the group. Highly recommended.Written October 2, 2024
- JMB1980AD0 contributions6 day Atlas Mountains Trek.Fantastic trip. 6 day Atlas circular Trek including summiting Toubkal with a team of 4. Alternatively staying in hostels & camping. Food and support from the Guide, Cook & Mule Drivers was fantastic throughout. Friendly & polite team. The Mules were well cared for and not overloaded, which was important to us also. Highly recommended.Written September 30, 2024
- henkvL2614EE0 contributionsHans & HenkWe had a great trip. Everything was well organised. Our guide Hassan (1) and cook Hassan (2) together with the Mule Jacky lead us thoughtfully and with great attention to the top of the Toubkal. Everything was perfectly organized by Toubkal Trekking from the beginning to the end. Thanks for the excellent serviceWritten July 23, 2024

- O5516NNjoanc0 contributionsGreat experienceEverything went so smooth, from the pickup at the hotel to the actual trek, the guide, etc. Everybody was very helpful and willing to make our trip one to remember. Kudos to all the team ! If you have time make a detour to see the rests of the airplane, if only for the history behind ;-)Written June 6, 2024
- wera3420 contributionsAmazing trip!We took one day trip from Marrakech to Imlil. Huge thanks to our guide Mohammed Sarkozy who took care of us perfectly. He showed us all the best spots and shared a lot of interesting information about mountains on the way. We felt very safe, we could easily see that he is a very experienced guide. Also a warm and funny person. We recommend the trip and especially the guide if you want to run away from noisy Marrakech!Written June 25, 2023
- Timhth0 contributionsFantastic hike up Mount ToubkalBig thanks to Mustapha and his team of guides, cook and mules. They looked after us very well, despite some illness which was bad luck. Team of 9 from UK 6 who summited 😃Written May 19, 2023
- ernestoh6680 contributionsA1 Experience, great companyI was planning to come to Morocco with my family to visit an old family's friend living in Tangier. To add some spice to the trip we decided to start our vacations climbing Jebel Toubkal. Research through Internet brings me to Toubkal Trekking. I contacted Mustapha and carefully reviewed our options and planned for this trip. It was a long chain of emails that he responded to my entire satisfaction that allows us to have a 5 starts vacation in a wonderful landscape. Since we live at sea level, we added two days walking through Berbers villages surrounding Imlil, before our two days climb to Toubkal. It was the right decision for us, since the 4 achieved the summit without suffering any altitude's sickness symptoms (we saw several people in the refuge with mild to more severe symptoms). Our climbing group was formed by the guide Rdoune, the cook Ibrahim and his brother Lajhsim, two mules with no names, and the 4 members of my family (ages 18 to 54). The food was amazing all the time. The cook, the brother and the mules walk ahead of us to be ready when we arrive either to the lunch break or for passing the night. Accommodation was humble but clean and cozy. It is not a luxury vacation but a discovery one; genuine. Rdoune, the guide, is a dedicated professional that knows well the mountain and love his job. He was very supportive of our needs, understood our pace, adapted to our group, patiently taught me some Berber’s words, and took care of one of us after a minor accident in our way down. Regarding the trekking, I would say the two acclimatation days were very pleasant mountain walks (5 to 6 hours each day), while the 2 Toubkal climbing days were medium to hard. The hardness mainly for the distance walked, especially the last day. If you are in good shape, you will enjoy this trip. The landscapes and views will pay the effort. For a mountaineering this is a must to go place. I highly recommend Toubkal Trekking for those looking to climb the mountain. I will start saving again for a next trip to Morocco, thinking in visit the desert now.Written May 18, 2023
- Ciara C0 contributionsChallenging and memorable experience, facilitated by the great people at Toubkal trekkingOur group of 5 had a fantastic time on the 3 day Toubkal trek with Toubkal trekking. Mustapha was very quick at responding to our questions and emails before we landed in Morocco, although we would have appreciated if some more information was provided when we booked instead of having to ask ad-hoc questions every few weeks. Nordeen was a fantastic guide - informative, patient, kind and made sure that we had a brilliant and memorable experience. The summit day itself was slightly harder than we expected and we were very glad to have crampons - definitely make sure you are fitted for these before you leave Imlil. The food was delicious and much better than we expected, and we never went hungry as there was plenty to go around. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would certainly return to this company for future adventures!Written May 8, 2023
- 350mackenzie0 contributionsAmazing experienceWe loved our trip to Mount Toubkal! It was very well organized and our guide was helpful and informative. We did the two day trek, which was perfect for our group. The food was amazing. One of our group members was vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate without any issues.Written April 16, 2023
- Chakradt0 contributionsbeautiful scenery, good company and comfortable stayWe completed the hike in July 2022. We throughely enjoyed the hike from start to finish. Our guide was well organised and experienced, he was attentive to us throughout and very friendly. The food was in abundance and delicious for the mountain. The mountain itself is so beautiful, of a high altitude yet very possible to climb with the correct training and level of fitness. We would recommend this climb and tour company to anyone considering it. Denise and Derbhile, Ireland.Written April 13, 2023
- muzungu570 contributionsan unforgettable experience in MoroccoMoustapha, my friend thank you so much for some unforgettable days! You made this trip special to us! Thank you for organizing this for and with us! Started by finding you in the internet, then deciding what do do/see before the hike, looking for the most beautiful and spectacular lodges. We met in our Riad in Marrakesh to finalize the last details and then took off with our guide Houssain and our driver Abdul. We enjoyed the tour guiding up to Imlil, their professionalism, the amount of information and the laughing with us! Unfortunately the hiking to Jbel Toubkal with Hussain was not as successful as we all wished (very bad weather, summit closed) but you made the best out of it, had an alternative program for the following days and we don’t regret anything! Please give also special thanks to Hussain, Abdul, Hassan and the Muli!! All the best to you and your family and we keep in touch! Mariah & MarkusWritten April 10, 2023

- Cathy F0 contributionsSuperb days trekking with an excellent guide companySuperb professionalism through and through . Our taxi driver Abdul was on time, helpful and was very informative. We drove from Marrakesh to the Atlas mountains stopping on route for photo opportunities along the hour and half route. Our trekking guide Ibrahim was a delight pointing out areas of interest and taking great care of our personal safety as underfoot was extremely icy. We had the best tagine for lunch and enjoyed tea with the local villagers. No pressure at all to purchase souvenirs which made a delightful chance. Would highly recommend this easy day trekking with Ibrahim and Abdul via Toubkal guide.Written February 4, 2023

The trip was excellent.
We had a day in Marrakech, two days to ascend Mt Toubkal, and then a day to head back to and experience Marrakech at the end. We personally then added some time in Marrakech at the end to see more of the city.
The hike was a once in a lifetime experience and we don't know anyone would choose to experience Morocco by just sitting by the pool in an all inclusive resort.
The guides were very knowledgeable about the local area. They were also very supportive and encouraging especially when the hike became more challenging. They kept up the positivity by making jokes and taking photos and kept the energy up in the evenings when we were tired from the hike.
They were also very experienced in hiking techniques and how to walk with equipment like crampons.
We would definitely recommend this trip to others.
We went in April 2019.
We do think you need a reasonable level of fitness.

Absolutely great service throughout our Atlas Mountain trek, the guides were all very knowledgeable and we were looked after very well.
Everybody on our trip made it to summit with the help from the guides..
The Food was also amazing and the homestays were very clean and comfortable.
First class hospitality, the guides even provided entertainment in the evenings with singing and dancing and encouragement for everyone to join in...
I would highly recommend!

Mustapha is a very nice and competent guide, he had everything arranged for us, nothing failed. Transport was fine, equipment was alright regarding local standards (crampons, and friendly, securityminded and cautious mountain guides that gave careful instructions. The mules were ready and waiting, even the welcoming tea was hot and sweet, waiting for us in Imlil.
I got to know Mustapha as an intelligent, helping, funny and considerate tour-leader. We had a lot of last minute changes to out travel itinerary, e.g. being two more people a few days pre-departure. Mustapha changed every arrangement without any problems, although I know that it presented major challenges for him.
I would definitely call him and put him in charge of my tour, if I was to go to marrakech region again. I think he would be able to cover a wide range of indivisualised group arrangements.
(We went on the excursion in March 2018. But I couldn't choose this date for the review).

My first time in Morocco and I loved it. Toubkal Trekkng were very professional providing fist class transport from Marrakech to Imlil and then expert mountain guides and mules for the ascent of Mt Toubkal. We had a very wintery weekend on the mountain and the guides had to make a safety call not to summit on the second day due to snow fall. I will be back and I'll use Toubkal Trekking again. Thanks guys :)

The communication between us and the organizer went great. Pick-up was well on time and very friendly. Prices were fair and the extras (climbing gear - winter climb) did not cost too much. They don't push for extra's and the trip they offer is worth the effort! I would recommend using this organisation if you are planning to climb mount Toubkal.

I booked this tour prior to my arrival in the country.
The booking process was easy and Mustapha was very responsive. I think the price point was good for what you get and thought it was good value for money.
The trek itself was fantastic. Our guide, Hussein was a great guide and spoke perfect English. He was polite and easy to get along with. He is an absolute credit and if you get the chance to request a guide you should definitely see if he is available.
The accommodation was okay, pretty standard (you share with other trekkers in a dorm room). Food was standard, nothing to write home about but naturally you should not expect fine dining options so high up in the mountains. Portion sizes were big so you will not go hungry.
Overall I would 100% recommend doing this trek at this price point.

Would highly recommend using this company. Excellent organisation, communication from the start, Mustapha was so good and quick at answering all questions via email.
Our guide was called Hassan, he spoke five languages and very good English.
He was a real nice person with exceptional experience and knowledge of the mountains. He was very considerate and patient and allowed us to set the pace.
Everything was organised for us from the Sherpa/mule to carry our luggage to the refuge, our meals and sleeping arrangements.
The mule was well cared for and looked in good condition with what looked like recently new shoes. This is something very important for us being animal lovers so we were please to see the donkey looking healthy and cared for.
If you need equipment for your trek you can hire this for a cheap price from Mustapha.
Transport from Marrakech to Imill and return again was organised and was comfortable and on time. The driver was very nice also.
The mountains, views and people were all amazing and we would highly recommend using this company.
Make sure you take cash to tip these people who work so hard from the cooks at the refugee, the Sherpas and of course the guide.
At the refuge you can also buy drinks and chocolate from a little shop. Also on the walk up to refuge there are small gites to buy water and other drinks so take cash.
Thanks to everyone, particularly our guide Hassan who was Amazing!
We’ll be back :0)

On our first visit to Marrakech we booked this 2-day trek to the Atlas Mountains. This was the highlight of our trip! Thanks to Toubkal Trekking we had a perfect experience climbing Mount Toubkal. From start to finish the service was excellent: Mustapha answered any questions and organized our trip perfectly, drivers were very friendly and helpful, our guide Hassan had unique knowledge and experience of the hike and mountains, and sherpas carrying luggage and food did a great job! The food and the refugee also met every expectation! All in all an amazing experience!
Hassan, our guide, deserves a big shout out! His knowledge and friendliness made the trip even better.
We would highly recommend this company if you plan to visit the Atlas Mountains!

It was a very well organised trek and I really loved it. The guide, a local Berber called Lassan, was very professional, helpful and had a good sense of humour. However, the thing I loved the most, was the food. It was fresh and simply delicious. All in all, I am very happy with this amazing experience and I can recommend it to everyone who loves mountains and is fit enough to trek around 40km in 2 days. It's not easy but it's totally worth it.

Fantastically well organised, welcoming, beautiful and culturally fulfilling trip. The perfect way to spend a long weekend and experiencing a colourful and welcoming culture. I hiked during the winter months visiting the lowland mountain villages and enjoying copious amounts of mint tea! Everyone was so welcoming and being invited into local homes was a real highlight. Mustapha was so helpful and keen to share his knowledge on the area and mountain culture. He also has a wonderful family and I feel lucky to have met them.
The hike itself was a good and comfortable pace. As we meandered up into the mountains the change of scene to more snowy capped peaks is spectacular and offered plenty of opportunities for photos. The summit was a tough but rewarding hike with spectacular views for miles around.
All in all I can't recommend the trip enough. A great balance of challenge, outdoors and culturally enriching.

We’re planning to climb to the summit on Sunday Monday November 13-14 November. What will the conditions be like and door I need to bring my mountaineering boots or can I where my hiking boots?
