ESCAPE TO THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS Tour Description: Once you’ve explored the bustling Medina, haggled for bargains in the sprawling souks and mingled in the crowds of Djemma El Fna square, it may be time to escape the city for a while, and discover more of the magic of Morocco. Marrakech lies in the foothills of the snow-capped High Atlas, North Africa’s greatest mountain range, and one of the most beautiful regions of Morocco. The best one can choose! Deep Morocco team is Curating memories & experiences in Morocco, just not vacations 🇲🇦
There are trips, there are vacations and then there are moments turning to memories. Our 14 days long voyage to Morocco was like a dream which wouldn’t have been possible without our on ground partner Deep Morocco. From the word GO, Said - the driving force and backbone of this company had been all hands on deck to make this voyage happen. Starting from choices of locations to stays, food to experiences - attention to every detail is worth the appreciation As an experiential company ourselves, we pay a lot of attention to details - experiences, stays, food, culture & Said made sure we do it all. From the experiential and traditional riad stays to the pottery workshops, from the late night food recce to the offbeat local eatouts in the cities - we had the most outstanding experience working with him and his team! The attention paid to ensure each and every traveler is comfortable & happy makes working with this team seamless & enjoyable. Special mention of Ibrahim ( who was our chariot king) the driver who embarked on this voyage with us - even with Language barrier what we created was memorable and we look forward to continue working with Deep Morocco tours for all our future Moroccan voyages! Thank you Said & the entire Deep Morocco team for making this happen! It was an absolute pleasure working with you! Cheers!

        Once upon a time...
First of all, I was looking for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation experience and the right people to guide me through this journey. I had the opportunity to meet Said Amraoui, a professional business owner who knows how to cater to every client's needs. His quick responses, clear information, suitable schedules, and individualized approach set him apart. As a result, we embarked on a 15-day private tour that included all the locations we requested, along with some excellent suggestions from Said. On the first day, our driver Ibrahim picked us up from the airport. The match-up couldn't have been better. We immediately felt a positive atmosphere. Ibrahim was a very kind man, willing to help and guide us safely throughout the 15 days. He was an excellent driver, flexible and informative, with excellent English.brahim was also accommodating with changes in the program and provided us with financial assistance in cooperation with Said when the ATMs were not working. During the last four days, we had a new driver, Hassan. Hassan was kind and funny, which both my friend and I found enjoyable. Our journey took us through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, with their breathtaking landscapes and stunning valleys. The mountains were dotted with lush forests and diverse flora, including ancient cedar and argan trees. The valleys were a sight to behold, with their terraced fields and vibrant greenery. We encountered Berber villages where the local people warmly welcomed us, sharing their rich culture and traditions. The Berbers, with their unique way of life, traditional clothing, and hospitable nature, added a profound depth to our experience. We traveled from the serene open fields to dense forests, experiencing the incredible diversity of Morocco's landscapes. We explored abandoned places with a sense of mystery and wandered through crowded cities teeming with life and energy. Each location offered a new perspective and a deeper understanding of the country's beauty and complexity. The desert and the camp were the most significant moments for me, bringing a sense of peace I had never felt before. We rode camels across the golden dunes and spent nights under the starry sky, truly immersing ourselves in the tranquility of the desert. Our last destination was the enchanting city of Essaouira, a coastal city with a medina right by the sea, often referred to as the "Windy City." The unique blend of the ocean breeze and the historical charm of the medina made Essaouira a perfect conclusion to our unforgettable adventure in Morocco. The accommodations provided by Deep Morocco Tours were top-notch, offering comfort and relaxation after each day of exploration. From cozy riads nestled within bustling medinas to luxurious desert camps under the starlit sky, every hotel was carefully selected to enhance our experience. Impeccable service, stunning views, and authentic Moroccan hospitality made our stays truly unforgettable. Deep Morocco Tours exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Said Amraoui and his team were not just professional but went above and beyond to ensure our journey was tailored to perfection. From the diverse landscapes to the cultural insights, every moment was unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend Deep Morocco Tours to anyone seeking a truly immersive and memorable experience in Morocco.

        A perfect winter getaway
Morocco was the perfect destination for a winter break. With the assistance of Deep Morocco tours, my husband and I enjoyed a week touring and seeing what the country had to offer. We are seasoned travelers but driving around Morocco seemed like a hassle since things were spread out, and we didn’t want to deal with buses/trains either. I worked with Said at Deep Morocco on an itinerary given the amount of time we had. The itinerary was basic – hitting the major cities and other terrific sites in between - but you have the option to customize based on your interests and the time available. Said was informative and responsive throughout the planning process. Once you get a draft itinerary, I recommend you do a little research and see what the places are and where they are on a map. Morocco is not a huge country and the roads great (better than we expected, really!) but remember that you may spend several hours in the car to get from point A to point B. However, this was not at all a bad experience because 1) the car was a clean and comfortable van with lots of room for 2 people and 2) there is a lot of beautiful scenery along the way and 3) it’s an opportunity to catch up on sleep, if needed! We were surprised and impressed by the diversity of landscapes! Of course we saw seemingly endless desert, but we also admired beautiful mountain ranges, red rock formations, lush countryside and farms, snow, beautiful rugged coastline and more. The cities had a mix of old and modern areas. For the winter week we were there our clothing ranged from wearing just a T shirt to a winter jacket, that did not seem warm enough! For each stop we usually had a guide for a few hours that took us to local sites (on foot or by car) and explained the place and historical relevance. All the guides that Deep Morocco booked for us were informative, friendly and very enthusiastic. I didn’t know much about the country but was taught a lot about its fascinating history. We appreciated the private tour experience and being able to stop and take pictures when we wanted or ask questions or move on, on our own time, thanks to Deep Morocco’s courteous and professional driver, who always had our interests in mind. The accommodations Deep Morocco booked were also great. In Fes and Marrakesh we stayed in lovely riads with hospitable staff and convenient locations for exploring on our own. (We departed from Casablanca and stayed in a standard airport hotel out of convenience, so cannot say much about that experience.) I did comparison shopping prior to booking the trip and looked at packaged group tours as well as other private tours and I thought Deep Morocco offered the best option for our needs and budget. A note about payment: we paid in full via Zelle a few days before the trip. I was nervous about doing so, but I knew someone else who had used the company previously which put my mind at ease. It was a terrific trip... with huge thanks to Deep Morocco!

100% BEST Touring Company in Morocco!! We LOVE Deep Morocco!!!
We just arrived home from an incredible 11 days in Morocco and I want everyone reading the testimonials to know that Deep Morocco is the best touring company in all of Morocco! Said took such great care of us in the planning portion of the trip, and his younger brother Omar was the BEST guide we could have ever asked for! Going to Morocco on our own would have been an amazing trip, but having Deep Morocco as our guides created the best travel experience we have ever had. You feel right at home with them. You will get to experience Morocco in a way you could not do on your own, nor with any other touring company. I will continue to go back to visit and choose them as our guides.

Our family of 5 had a fantastic time. Amar, our guide, had the greatest and kindest smile. He took great care of us and organized very experienced local guides almost at every stop. The hotels were amazing. People were kind everywhere. We felt safe the entire time. What an unforgettable experience! We would love to go back to Morocco.

        Amazing trip!
Said arranged about 5 days for us (my husband from Marrakech to Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert. It was perfectly organized, the hotels they arranged were beautiful and super comfortable. We are vegetarians, and we didn't have any problems with the food either (except one lunch place). Omar, as a guide was really great, we ended up being friends and having a great time! The stay in the Sahara desert (Palmyra camp) was out of this world. Thank you for making Morocco so memorable for us. Highly recommend going with Deep Morocco tours.

        Great experience - highly recommend!
We had an absolutely amazing time during our visit to Morocco, in-large-part due to Said, Amar and the Deep Morocco Tours team. They did an exceptional job tailoring an itinerary to our interest and timelines, even rearranging things on the fly based on how each day progressed. They were extremely responsive, friendly and professional. During our travels between cities/locations the private vehicle was comfortable, air conditioned and safe. On top of this, our guide, Amar, went above and beyond to answer all the questions we had and provided us with lots of insight into Moroccan life and culture. We are already looking forward to our next trip to this beautiful country with Deep Morocco tours!

There is so much more! I will let fellow travelers discover for themselves.
I loved my trip to Morocco with Deep Moroccan tours. The accommodations were great and we had tours each day and learned about the country, culture and history. Our driver was excellent and we grew to value our relationship with him. We travelled to the cities and saw crafts and art and Mosques and wonderful sights. Loved the small, winding streets, and tours about life in the Medina and saw the wares of merchants. We traveled to the desert and saw the sun rise and set on the dunes. Slept in a tent and rode camels. Had a great meal. We traveled thru the mountains and saw farms of olive trees and argon nuts that make the oil. There is so much more but I will leave it up to travelers to discover. Thank you Deep Moroccan tours!

        Wonderful Deep Morocco Tours
Deep Morocco Tours Nov. 29—Dec. 8, 2023 What a time we had, our group of five women! Ibrahim was a handsome driver/guide who was not only knowledgeable but also accommodating to our every wish. (A little more time here…a bathroom break…the name of the mosque…etc.) An appreciation of the cleanliness and friendliness everywhere kept us fascinated. But, of course, the thrill was in the gorgeous scenery and charming cities, each with its own splendid mosque. We started with a very touristy dinner at Rick’s Café in honor of the movie “Casablanca.” After that, we sank into the culture as much as our American mindsets would allow. The alleys in Fez, the beautiful tile everywhere, lovely pottery, ornate silver, sublimely soft leather, the delicious food—so much to see and feel and taste. The very most exotic experience was a night in the desert. The camel ride was accessible to all of us. We felt so adventurous. There is no way to adequately describe the expansive dunes, the passing travelers, even the motorized vehicles seemingly dashing off into an abyss. The colors, the performance of the sunset and sunrise, the entertainment and excellent food in the camp—it was all spectacular. Marrakech was the perfect place to wind down, in the sense of capturing all we could in the last days. Listening to the call to prayer with a guide who sang along and explained was exceptional. We hated to leave the ubiquitous mint tea behind. But glorious memories and even the poor substitute of photos remain with each of us.

        The Heart of Morocco
Deep Morocco Tours took us into the desert on camels, high into the Atlas Mountains, to the center of Fez – the Medina so narrow and twisted that enemies (and ordinary travelers) lose themselves. Deep Morocco took us to a rug coop of 300 women weavers and to a desert coop of 4 tribes, 62 families. All the guides were Berbers, most born in the desert to Nomad families. In 2000, when the Morocco-Algeria border was set, Nomads turned into the local towns where mayors listened to the families and then gave each member an age and gave all the same birthdate, January 1. Our chief guide Ibrahim drove, telling us about Muslim life, the Jewish presence, and most of all the Berbers who are more and more calling themselves Amazir, a free people, rejecting the Roman name for them, barbarian or Berber. Our traveling group of five women rode in comfort in a Mercedes for eight days, staying at night in hotels in Casablanca and Marrakesh; in riads operated by families in Fez and small villages; and in two tents in the desert. We were comfortable, except when actually sitting on a camel. We marveled at the architecture: palaces, Mosques, stately homes, shops or souks crowded into the narrow streets, entire villages built into the sides of mountains. The food was light and satisfying. We always had choices. We were able to purchase wine, but never pork. We bought rugs and perfume, pottery and silver and leather, fossils – all directly from the makers – and we watched them apply their art. We came home laden with gifts and photos

        2 week tour through Morocco
We are finally home after an extended time away, including a 2 week guided trip through Morocco. Thanks very much to Deep Morocco Tours for a great experience, and special thanks to our guide Omar who enthusiastically shared his considerable knowledge, experience, information and insights about his country. We learned so much about the history and cultures within Morocco, particularly the indigenous Berber culture. We absolutely loved the Berber music that Omar shared with us during some of the longer drives between locations. Thanks also to all the other local guides who were so gracious and helpful, particularly Hassan in Fez, and Barack at Palmyra Luxury Camp in the Sahara. Our Riad accommodation throughout the trip was excellent and staff were really helpful and hospitable. Most of all, we so enjoyed our interactions and encounters with various local people in different locations who were so warm and friendly to chat with. We would definitely recommend Deep Morocco Tours as they are a local and indigenous Berber family company who can offer an authentic travel experience.
