- Roving0860733952000Time of my life!It was one of the best vacations I have ever taken and know a lot of it had to do with Aissiam and Khalid our tour guides! First off, I always knew I wanted to go see Moracco, the main things I had in my mind were seeing the Marrakesh market, spending the night in the desert and doing a hot air balloon ride. What I got was so much more. The hospitality in the country was unprecedented! We got to really be part of the cultural, saw so many beautiful places, shopped a lot, and really the best part was that Aissiam and Khalid made us feel like family. Morocco really holds a special place in my heart, I cannot wait to go back and experience new places and see my new friends again, especially Aissiam and Khalid! Thank you guys for making this such a fun experience!
- gayle g00Wonderful Private Tour!First of all, we wholeheartedly would recommend Gboo Morocco Tours. Our driver Aissam was nothing short of amazing and really a pleasure to have as a travel companion during our journey. Nine days is a long time to spend in closer quarters(driving) with a person and it really felt like we were all in sync with each other after a couple of days. This tour is a wonderful mix of all that is Morocco and I do feel that we left this amazing country with a greater knowledge of it. We had private guides in both Fez and Marrakech and we really learned so much about both the city and beyond from them. One of things I think is important to note, there is A LOT of driving involved with this trip. I wouldn't say some day's itineraries are unrealistic, but I would say if you want to have down time in the hotel, time exploring the towns(particularly Chefchaouen, Fez or Marrakech)or dinner plans....Make this known and plan ahead of time. I would also add the trip from Dades Valley to Marrakech is VERY long with a lot of stops and you will arrive in Marrakech quite late. This is by no means a complaint...the drive is really spectacular...just a heads up! If taking a summer tour, an additional recommendation I would make in regard to Sahara Desert accommodations. It is very, very hot in the summer and there are camps that have AC in the tents. The camp we stayed at did not. Additionally, it was so hot there wasn't cold or even tepid water...it was either hot shower or unbearably hot. I would be very clear about your needs on this particular accommodation. We slept outside, as our tent was nothing short of Sauna temperature, which wasn't terrible but wasn't a restful night sleep. We were the only guests at this lovely camp and they really went out of their way to make us happy. However, we were just too hot to enjoy anything. The last thing I would add is with the Riads chosen, this is a really personal comfort level in the areas they are located within the Medina. In Fez, we didn't have a problem with the location, but would not recommend the Riad we stayed at(however beautiful)there. We had hiccups with our rooms accommodations in Marrakech(this was not Gboo fault), but even beforehand we had a bit of an issue with the location which was deep in the Medina and located in at the end of a very dark(no light until the end), very long side alley...not to mention it was a very, very long walk to the Riad. If Aissam hadn't walked us back to the Riad at night after dinner, we would not have felt comfortable AT ALL. And if I am honest, there were times he looked very uncomfortable particularly with parking. Again this is a personal comfort level and everyone's level is different. I have very little tolerance, however my husband has a much, much higher level and he was rushing us through with a NO STOPPING(for cats) policy. I would also add that final approval was given by me for all the accommodations, but not knowing the area is a real handicap. So, be very specific about this...also if you need fewer stairs/lower levels. I have an autoimmune disease, so I don't need a handicap room, but walking up three flights of sometimes narrow and almost always unevenly spaced stairs is not ideal. This was also my fault as it didn't really occur to me to ask. We are so grateful to Gboo Morocco Tours and Aissam for making this trip Truly Amazing! Re-Reading, I sincerely hope the take-away isn't taken negatively. It was Fantastic! These are just recommendations of making it even better than it was. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out....I really feel they offered an authentic picture of all that is Morocco with our needs and timeline.
- meganR2433ZD00Amazing custom trip to Marrakech and FezWe did a custom 4.5 day/5 night private tour with Gboo in Marrakech and Fez and absolutely loved it!! Abdelhadi was very patient and kind in creating this custom trip for us with some last minute changes. We did a guided tour, camel ride, and cooking class in Marrakech, and a guided tour and hammam spa in Fez. In between, we drove from Marrakech to Fez, stopping at Volubilis. Everything was perfect and taken care of so we could fully enjoy our first trip to Morocco. In Morocco, Aissam was our everyday contact from Gboo and drove and walked us everywhere, as well as took care of dinner reservations and checking us in to activities and our riads. Aissam is an absolutely incredible person, guide, and driver and our trip was so amazing thanks to him! Aissam is a huge reason why our experience was so wonderful and when we return to Morocco, we will definitely try to get him as our guide again. The accommodations were very nice, especially Riad Amin in Marrakech — we didn’t want to leave the riad because it was so beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Definitely stay at Riad Amin in Marrakech! Additionally, we absolutely loved our cooking class at Cafe Clock in Marrakech and our hammam spa at Hammam Mernissi in Fez. Gboo was one of the least expensive private tours in Morocco that we found, but you wouldn’t know it by the quality of the trip. We highly recommend Gboo (and Aissam) if you are going to Morocco for the first time!
- dpetrovita00Great company for custom tripOne of the first choices when looking for custom Morocco trips, at least searching on Google from Canada, is GBOO Morocco Tours. After submitting my initial request, Abdelhadi, the general manager, responded quickly with some choices. I worked with him for about two weeks to refine the trip and, when finalized, I paid an advance and the the rest, two weeks prior to trip start. He was a pleasure to deal with, even following up and apologizing for the first night hotel mix up. To make sure it doesn’t happen again, he changed the Casablanca hotel for the last night of the itinerary. When I was looking for some different hotel options in Fes and Marrakech than offered by him, he suggested I book those separately and start the reservation process for all the other items in the trip. Totally accepted approach. I want to mention that our driver/guide for the trip was Aissam. He waited patiently for us more than an hour after the plane landed, while we received our luggage. He was professional, courteous, entertaining, knowledgeable, calm while driving, always opening the car door for us and carrying our luggage. We were very pleased having his support. I can highly recommend him.
- bahoover00Amazing once in a lifetime experience to the Moroccan desert with Gboo tours and Salim as guide/driverWe had a magnificent experience recently with Gboo tours and our fantastic driver/guide Salim. We were met in Marrakesh and picked up in a comfortable van for a 3 day tour. We were able to customize the itinerary as we wanted which turned out perfect with stops in Ait Benhaddou, Merzouga/Camp Beldi, and the Dades Gorge. The entire trip was gorgeous and amazing. Our guide/driver Salim told us about history, recommended interesting visits, restaurants and even showed us around where he grew up, giving us insights to the authentic Morocco. Couldn’t recommend Gboo tour and Salim enough!
- I424RXtomp00Exceeded Expectations!!!!Greetings! If you are reading these reviews, you may be in the same position I was in at one time. For me, Morocco was a mysterious and alluring country inspired by the famous movie. It was also a predominantly Muslim country in Africa which were both firsts for my travels. As I did my research however, I discovered Morocco was nothing like that. Morocco is a beautiful blend of modern and traditional with the nicest people you could ever want to meet. Respectful followers of Muslim traditions but very accepting and tolerant of other people in cultures. I visited Morocco during Ramadan and found no inconvenience at all. Rather the opposite, I was invited to several homes to share in the traditional evening Break Fast. Ramadan soup, Breads, little pizzas, fresh squeezed Orange Juice, Tagines, Olives. Yummy!! I never felt unsafe in any place or any time. I remained mindful of my surroundings while in the cities as I would in any urban area. Not out of concern for violent crime but more for petty things like pick pockets are people offering help for the purpose of receiving a tip. But sometimes the help is welcome and a $2 tip goes a long way. I was amazed at the landscapes. The coastal cities and villages with the great sunsets and seafood. Places where desert met ocean. A national park with limited but rare animals and even camels on the beach!!. The northern areas that looked more like Switzerland than Morocco. Green mountain sides and Cedar forests that included wild monkees I was able to feed. They would tug on my pant leg for more banana. The cities which were a combination of old and new. The walled old cites with the medinas that were car free and full of activity. These were very long and impressive walls I might add. Visits to hand made pottery enclaves and a traditional tannery. Then there was the deserts and the mountains (some with snow on them!). No end to the dramatic vistas and opportunities for photographs. Plus who can pass up riding a camel and sleeping in a very luxurious tent in the Sahara desert. Most every thing is relatively cheap compared to western standards. Peas were 80 cents per kilo, oranges, bananas and bottled water were $1 per kilo/1.5liters respectively. Also the rooms in hotels and riads were a real bargain for what you got. In Fes for example, I got a 1600 square foot room including a huge bath and deck for about $90. The hotel even brought my food up to my deck and laid it all out for me. Again a $5 tip was hugely appreciated. Meals ranged from a about $6 with $30 being the most expensive for a large buffest. Most were in the $10 to $12 range. The only thing I would warn about would be renting a car and driving it in urban areas. Also crossing streets. It was like a free for all and the most hectic thing I have ever witnessed. How they don’t have so many more accidents I don’t know. A favorite tactic is passing on the right and then making an immediate left in front of you. Don’t bother looking for turn signals LOL. You will share the road with pedestrians, cars, taxis, trucks, scooters, horses, burros, sheep, goats all seemingly doing there own thing and oblivious to their surroundings. So this leads me to my selection of Gboo as my tour guide. As you may have figured out by now, Morocco may have the most tours and tour guides of any country I have ever been to so where to start. Based on reviews, tour offerings and cost, I selected 3 possible candidates and contacted them all. To me, Gboo offers the best variety of tours for the best prices and the most flexibility. They were also very responsive. I worked with Abdelhadi who was very courteous and very patient, I went from a 7 day tour, to a 15 day tour and then finally a custom 12 day private tour that I created from the Gboo 14 day tour offering. I revised this tour and the hotels quite a few times and Abdelhadi was so patient and helpful. I decided to choose my own hotel rooms and riads to earn credit card points and explore all the room options. Gboo was okay with that too. As it turned out, the hotels and riads I used that Gboo had originally recommended were the best so no need to second guess that. I opted for a private driver/guide (one on one) for the entire trip. I was surprised at how reasonable the cost. Abdelhadi selected Hassan to be my driver/guide. (If you can get this person please do. He is very much in demand). He met me at the airport with a late model Toyota Land Cruiser. The first hour or so, Hassan asked me questions to determine my priorities for this trip. I focused on landscapes, people, culture and more about being a local rather than a tourist. Yes we visited many tourist attractions but I also many things tourist don't get to see on pre determined tour packages. We could change plans on the fly and could stop to take pictures anywhere. Also got to stop at farm stands, feed burros talk to locals, and even do some charity work keeping in the spirit of Ramadan. Things like giving local farmers better prices for their products, Asking to take pictures with unexpecting hard working farmers and villagers for a $5 tip. Needless to say we hit it off in a big way. He was so committed in giving be the best experience and being flexible. This included a lot of walking and some climbing in hilled cities like Ait Ben Haddou even though during Ramadan he was unable to drink even water until about 7PM each day. He never got crabby (Like I would have fasting like that) and was a positive person. We shared music with me listening to Moroccan/Arabic music and I bluetoothed into his car radio so he could listen to mine. He really enjoyed 60's and 70's music. He never watched the clock and ended each day's tour as I wished. On occasion, he would drive back to the hotel to share late coffee or dinner. I was also surprised at how many other tour guides he knew around the country and also where were the best shops with local rather than tourist prices. (We got the best dates in the country for $5 a box.) Most Moroccans speak some combination of darija arabic (Moroccan), traditional arabic, french spanish and some english. However this is not always the case in rural villages and non-tourist medina’s. Hassan was invaluable as an interpreter to ensure my communications were both correct and respectful. He also ensured I got the best deal in negotiations. He even let me connect my WiFi to his phone so I could stay in touch with people back in the states and send real time pics. Finally, he did an excellent job of fulfilling his commitment to show me places off the tourist routes where he knew I could get great pictures and experience local life. After the tour ended and he dropped me at my hotel, he invited me to his home to share a Ramadan break fast and coffee with his friends. (Not to be confused with our morning breakfast. This was 7PM in the evening to mark the end of the daily fast). Needless to say, he had fully earned a generous tip for this amazing tour. Abdelhadi and Gboo tours kept their promise to provide a Moroccan tour that would exceed my expectations. They made sure everything was right every step of the way and kept in contact during the tour via the what’s up app. They were 100% honest and I never had a concern for my deposit or payment for the tour. They offered a huge choice of tour types and itineraries and could accommodate groups of all sizes. If you are planning to visit Morocco, you should do your research, determine your priorities and choose 2 or 3 likely tour companies that appear to suit your needs. I am only suggesting that you should include Gboo tours as one of your options. I think with what they offer, they would be a solid choice. And LOL no I did not receive any compensation to write this review. I’m just a 65 year old single guy from Florida wanting to see the world. I received such a great experience from Gboo that I owed it to them to write an honest and accurate review. Tom Pugliese Fort Pierce, Florida
- jmmyb202300Unforgettable 12-Day Tour of Morocco with Gboo Morocco ToursI was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and attention to detail provided by Gboo Morocco Tours. From the moment we arrived in Casablanca, we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable tour guides who were eager to share their love and passion for the country with us. Throughout the tour, we visited a range of cities and destinations, including Rabat, Asilah, Chefchaouen, Fez, the Sahara Desert, and Marrakech. Each stop offered a unique and unforgettable experience, from the stunning blue-washed buildings of Chefchaouen to the bustling markets of Marrakech. One of the highlights of the tour was our visit to the Sahara Desert, where we rode camels across the dunes to spend the night in a traditional Berber camp. The experience was truly magical, and Ahmed our driver made sure that everything was taken care of, from setting up our tents to providing delicious meals and entertainment. Throughout the tour, the accommodations were comfortable and clean, and the transportation was smooth and efficient. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and engaging, offering insights into the history and culture of each destination. Overall, I would highly recommend Gboo Morocco Tours to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Morocco. The level of service and attention to detail was exceptional, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you, Gboo Morocco Tours, for an incredible 12 days in Morocco!
- Paradise4204432851800Unforgettable experienceWe decided to do a customised 10 days tour in a van. It is best way to fully experience the rich history and culture and sighting the magnificent mountains, valleys and kasbahs. Our driver, Mohamed was incredibly nice, accommodating and informative. He made sure we got enough toilet and food breaks throughout our daily dusk to dawn road trip from city to city. The Riads and Dars that we stayed are comfortable and spacious. Staff are warm and helpful. Can’t say enough positive things about this tour. It was worth every penny!
- Geostrider00A great tour !Morocco had a lot to offer. Very professional and reliable. The city tour guides were knowledgeable with good English.
- evilkarrot00LGBT Friendly Morocco Tour CompanyWow! What a great adventure! We chose Gboo Tours because they specialize in private LGBTQ tours of Morocco. As a gay couple, we thought it would be best to book through a tour company to make sure we had no problems. Abdelhadi, the owner, talked us through all options and booked us with guides and in hotels/riads that were LGBTQ friendly. And it was true! Our driver for 12 days, Jalal, was amazing and funny! None of the lodgings batted an eye at two men asking for one bed. We never felt unsafe at any time on our tour. So on that alone, Gboo gets 5 stars! Being 12 days, we never drove more than 5 hours a day (which is what we wanted). Our favorite was the overnight in the riad in the desert followed by a camel trek to the luxury camp. All the accommodations were luxurious and felt special. We stopped twice to see monkeys! The only small criticism is that sometimes the local guides felt like they were taking us to touristy restaurants and places. One restaurant in Fez was so overpriced compared to everything else we at in Morocco. But besides that! It was amazing! We learned so much about Morocco, the culture, the religion, and the people.
- Lcpl1400Morocco Dec-Jan 2023This was an awesome experience for me, my husband and friends. Abdelhadi was since the beginning very responsive and professional. We had Mohamed as a driver and he was profesional, cautious and very helpful, he drove us to all the places that we need to know. We had a guide in Marrakesh and Fez and both were very knowledgable about Morocco, they showed us the best places. We are very happy with the tour organization, the riads we stayed in and the transportation. Worth every penny and we recommend to go to Morocco with a tour like this so you don't have to worry about the accommodations and transportation.
- F9509VAmichellef00Amazing and educationalAbdulhadi was the best tour guide! So helpful and organised! He took us to all the spots we wanted to see for the 2 weeks and took care of all the admin! He was so professional and would highly recommend him to anyone travelling to Morocco.
- kimmiolive00Traveling with an 8 month oldAbdul was extremely helpful. I have an 8 month old and he was so accommodating. All the hotels booked through Abdul had a camp cot and we had a car seat in the bus for him too. I can highly recommend using Gboo tours!
- 149kristenr00Trust Gboo Tours to plan your Moroccan adventure! We just got back from a tremendous tour of Morocco. I’ll concur with much of what other travelers have said previously. Abdelhadi is incredibly prompt, professional and invested in making our time in Morocco enjoyable. The riads we stayed in were all first rate - friendly staff, great breakfasts, and well positioned within the various cities we stayed. The itinerary was ambitious but also flexible based on our needs/wants. We had full day guides in Marrakech and Fes, and it was clear that Gboo had a network of knowledgeable, professional guides to help us make the most of our time. Finally and most importantly: our driver, Muhammad, was exceptional. Kind, thoughtful, prompt, safe, willing to answer all of our random questions about Morocco, and took care of our family as his own during our stay. Looking forward to working with Gboo tours on our next Moroccan adventure!
- Maps3379354360400Thank you to the good guide Mustapha 35The guide was really kind and available to help us better discover Marrakech. He told us many secrets regarding Marrakech city

Everything was perfect thanks to Abdel and Dimitra who organized this tour special for us. We made a tour from Marrakesh to Fez via the Sahara desert. This part of Morocco is the best in my opinion. Berber villages, mountains, mud-brick villages, oases, and of course the spectacular desert. The first night we stayed in a village in the Atlas mountains in a cozy traditional hotel and the second night in an amazing luxury camp in the dunes of Sahara. Also, our driver was

This was one of our most unforgettable experiences in all the traveling we have done. You MUST do a private tour, it’s the only way. Our tour guide Rabia for trip was such an amazing guy! He took care of us far exceeding our expectations! I told Rabia it was my wife’s birthday the night of our Desert camping and he surprised her with a cake, candles, and a song at dinner making our trip extra special. Such an awesome gesture.
Above and beyond! Our favorite experience in Morocco!
Definitely do it and do it with Gboo Tours, as they were extremely helpful. 100%
Next tim we may do a longer guided tour!

Thank you to Gboo, I had the most magical experience in Morroco. I asked them to customize our trip and they chose a great itinerary for us. We started from Marrakech and drove all the way up into the Atlas Mountains. Stayed there for a night and then went to the Sahara desert on camels. At first, the thought of spending the night in the desert was daunting, but when we reached our spot to watch the sunset, the splendor and the vastness of the desert awed us. It was totally magical. After spending a night in a beautiful tent, (the food could be better there), we had breakfast and then left for Fes and Rabat. Fez is beautiful, but people are not as friendly as they are in other parts of Morocco. The Berbers the Amazigh will win your hearts with their genuine desire to please tourists and treat them as God-sent guests.
I was looking for a spiritual experience in Fes but didn't find anything that uplifted my spirits into a trance.. but our guide and driver took me to the synagogue and Jewish quarters which was beautiful.
GBoo travels are the best but what made it amazing was our guide-Salim who is most knowledgeable about his country and heritage that it was a pleasure to go with him. We can't thank him enough and highly recommend him. Morocco is on my best places to visit list! I love it- for me, the best thing was to be in a Muslim country, not a rich first-world country, and find every public bathroom I used was super clean. I hope this sense of cleanliness comes to other countries!
You don't have to cover and you can pretty much wear what you wear in America- tourists can buy alcohol- and most people speak English- Uber is not reliable- I recommend calling GBoo for the amazing tours they have- all are Awesome!
Thanks Salim-

We had the chance to discover the desert between Marrakesh and Fes with the best possible service, kindness and knowledge.
Not only we felt safe at every step, we also genuinely enjoyed the tales and details about the region we saw, from someone that knows the desert so well and was able to share his passion with us. Looking forward to the next trip to further explore Morocco. Thanks so much Abdelhadid, you're the best guide!!

Everything about this service was professional, warm, prompt and attentive. From the start communication was quick and everything was exactly as we asked, and much much more than we could've imagined. Abdel and Dimitra took care of every detail, booked us excellent, beautiful, and fun accommodations and trips! Our driver was safe, and made awesome stops along the way, suggesting options to get the best souvenirs, and authentic treasures!
Book with this company, your trip will be exotic, fantastic and completely worry free!

It was the highlight of our trip to Morocco! Abdel picked us up in Marrakech and took us to these amazing view points in the high Atlas Mountains and amazing journey through the Sahara desert. Abdel was super kind and nice, timely, helpful and gave great descriptions of the places we passed along the way. We stayed in beautiful accommodations throughout the trip (mid-level) and had an experience we will never forget! I highly recommend!!
