- harrisonb3670 contributionsNice night outWe enjoyed our night out in the desert with Yuossef. We were picked up in a van and driven to the argan oil co-operative where we had tea and bread. No pressure to make a purchase. We then moved on to the camel ride, this however was disappointing. We were worried about the welfare of the camels, many foaming at the mouth and there were plenty of tourists and we didn't see the camels getting ay water breaks etc. Dinner was lovely, we had this while the sun was going down. This then followed with a campfire and singing and dancing and a fire dance. Overall good experience for value for money.Written January 7, 2024

- A164OJannas0 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic value for moneyIncredible bang for your buck! An enchanting evening that exceeded all expectations. The camel ride upon arrival was just the right length, and the guides were not only skilled but also talented photographers who captured unforgettable moments with our phones. Then, it was off to witness the breathtaking sunset, complemented by a sumptuous three-course meal as the sun gracefully descended. The service was impeccable, and the cuisine was an absolute delight. We began with a delightful soup and bread starter, followed by a delectable vegetable tagine, and a mouthwatering chicken tagine for the main course, concluding with a delightful fruit dessert. Following this culinary feast, we were treated to traditional songs around a mesmerizing fire pit. The grand finale was a mesmerizing fire juggling performance in the heart of the desert. Words cannot adequately convey what an extraordinary experience this was. A heartfelt thank you to all involved in making this unforgettable evening possible.Written September 25, 2023

- araluc0 contributionsbad experienceafter over two hours of bus ride, you will get a 20 minutes camel ride somewhere on a poor stone field (like little kids on a pony and do not dare to use the toilet there, I have never seen such dirty conditions !!!). Then again a long bus ride to the mountain where you will be accompanied by your guide (Hamid is very nice and professional but he is probably more suitable for the 4000mt peak hike then this one) to see a small waterfall where a lot of other tourists are also waiting to go thru the small path. Really nothing special, and even worse is the lunch in a completely uninteresting village where you will be served a overcooked rice (actually you can not even eat it) and a very bad chicken tagine. After this you will go back to Marrakech with a stop to a Arganoil shop which is completely overpriced. We were happy to be back to Marrakech and I not recommend this tour.Written April 19, 2022

- 84ruthyc0 contributionsLovely relaxed day trip with lots to see! This was our first time in Morroco! This tour was nice and relaxed with lots of stops for refreshments. A pleasant stroll to the waterfall. The driver and our guide Ibrahim were really friendly and knowledgable. Once we booked pickup was arranged from our hotel. In truth this day trip made my holiday. Thank you very much. Ruthy :)Written February 21, 2020
- beent20200 contributionsHighly recommend!I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We started the morning driving to a place to take a camel ride for 30 min and to have mint tea and delicious cookies. He told us about the Berber people. Then we went to an Argon oil store. There, we had traditional breakfast and moroccan tea. Afterwards we hiked for about an hour and a half to a waterfall. The terrain can be rocky so wear sports shoes. He got us a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice at the top. We then when to his home and his mom made us a delicious meal best meal I had in Marrakech. We ate on his rooftop overlooking the Atlas Mountains. This tour was a great value for the money and was special in that we spent time at Ahmed’s home. Highly recommend.Written February 10, 2020

Such good value for money. We spent the previous day on an exhausting walking tour of the sights around and within the Medina, so a pleasant day with a short (but hilly) walk up to the little waterfall was just what we needed. We were so well looked after by Youssef-boura (our guide) and Hassan (our driver) who were so patient dealing with the chaos of the traffic and pick up location queries, and of course, forgetful customers (me) who leave their belongings on the bus; Hassan came into the square in his day off to meet me and return my stuff. Thank you guys. The food at the berber village was the best value we’ve had this week, and it was fun being in our small group.

We booked very last minute but the tour was confirmed instantly. Ibrahim sent a text confirming collection time the night prior to the trip and Ibrahim and Mohammed arrived promptly.
Our tour consisted of ourselves, a large family party, a couple from Germany and a couple from Australia. We bonded over the Berber breakfast at the Argan cooperative and then journeyed into the desert to ride camels before a tour through the mountains with Ibrahim explaining local customs and then onto the walk.
The walk consists of a very steep set of stairs, several thin passes, jumps over a water irrigation system and several rickety bridges (no handrails). I am pregnant and Ibraham was very courteous in helping navigate the walk. It may not be suitable for anyone mobility impaired and definitely requires suitable footwear and clothing a worth planning in advance.
The guest house lunch was three courses and absolutely incredible tajine - €6 each. Take cash.
Overall, a fantastic day. Mohamed and Ibrahim were perfect hosts.

You will not regret booking this trip to the Atlas Mountains and the Three Valley’s. The tour providers were communicative, punctual and accommodating. The driver Abdil drove safely and the van was comfortable and air conditioned. The places we visited were breathtaking. If you are staying in Marrakech it’s well worth visiting to see the diversity of the Moroccan landscape that’s mountainous, lush and green and a much needed serene break from the madness of the city! Youssef our tour guide was AMAZING, he is sweet, kind, funny, accommodating, always went the extra mile to ensure we were well informed and comfortable. As a solo-female traveller I felt incredibly safe. My favourite part was the short break we took at his cousins terrace to have mint tea and cake and take in the unforgettable view of the Atlas Mountains. I feel very lucky to have had Youssef as a tour guide and this trip was the highlight of my entire trip to Morocco.

Overall it was a wonderful and fruitful experience. I’m glad that we are allocated to Mohammad (aka. Mr. Potato) as our guide. He is one of the locals at Imlil and knows a lot about their culture and history.
The tour started at around 9 from the Jemaa el-Fna square. Because of previous reviews I decided to go to the square directly with my friend. The mini bus was totally packed, but the size of the group was decent with no more than 20 people.
The bus stopped several times before we reached the waterfall. Mohammed would explain the scenery, the buildings, the history, and how Berbers interact with each other in such environments.
The hike to the waterfall in the afternoon was nice, worth mountainous scenery all the time. It was a mild one so with a little bit of effort almost everyone can achieve that. Mohammed would stop once in a while to make sure everyone’s safe and okay to go on. He also introduced the houses and the valley in details.
The camel ride was on the way back to Marrakech. It was a short but interesting one. For most of us it was our first time riding camels, however the safety measures were okay and made us feel secured.
Like the other groups, the time duration for this day trip heavily depends on the lunch time and the time spent during the hike. We came back to the square at 7 p.m. so two hours behind schedule. But it is a worth time spending on the way and the sunset on the road looked amazing.

Amazing trip. Karim our driver and guide was great. Views were amazing. Hussain who led us up the mountain was courteous and so knowledgeable about the area. He invited us into his home at the end of the mountain trip to meet his family and have "berber whiskey" (mint tea). Camel ride was a hoot! Can't recommend Karim and Hussain highly enough

Hassan was a great guide. Very clear. If you are living in the Medina, pick your pick-up location as outside Cafe Argana because it is a landmark and is clearer and will save the hassle of the tour guide trying to find you at the start of the day! Saw waterfalls and rode camels and saw the Berber people. A must-do! Thank you!

We went on this trip recently and it was a lot of fun. We were picked up from our hotel and after picking up others we went to the agafay desert where we had a camel ride and somw tea. On the way we stopped at several point to take in the view and take pictures. After the ride we went to Imlil for lunch where we had amazing food. From there we hiked to the waterfalls. On our last stop we went to an argan oil production site where we had a final tea with some bread to dip and were told all about argan oil. Our guide was Omar Bousserhan and the driver was Hassan Ouirgane. Throughout the trip he had great enqery and gave plenty information, encouraging us to ask questions. If you want to get away from Marrakech for a day I would recommend this trip!

We booked this tour as part of my sister’s hen do weekend and we couldn’t have chosen a better trip! Ahmed Kamchad was the most helpful, friendly tour guide. He picked us up from our Riad in the morning and from start to finish he brought positivity and fun to the trip. The day involved a camel ride, a breakfast and a lunch stop, a visit to an argan oil shop, a 2-hour trek in the Atlas Mountains and a visit to Dessert Agafay. Everywhere we went the staff and locals were welcoming and polite. Mohammed Babala was our tour guide for the mountain trek, and was helpful and friendly throughout. We could not fault this trip and can’t believe how much we did. The scenery and the villages were beautiful, and the staff involved made it extra special. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing day spent outside of Marrakesh. Our lovely driver Said picked us up in time at the big square in the heart of Medina. Our tour guide, Issmail was the best we could ask for. He was so kind, helpful and told us so much about his home town, the barbarian villages and about the culture in Morocco. He made our trip so enjoyable and interesting.
It was my birthday that day and the local guides and staff of the restaurant where we had lunch surprised me with sweets, singing and so many good wishes.
We had a great time riding camels, eating delicious Tajim for lunch, walking in the Atlas mountain and visited barberian villages. We had a first hand experience how Argan oil is made and tasted its honey, nut butters followed by some barbarian tea.
100% recommend this tour!

Youssef was a great guide, giving us just the right balance of information and assistance. The trip included a fascinating walk through his and neighbouring villages and a delicious lunch at a relatives restaurant. A truly memorable day. Even my teenage sons loved it and were fascinated by all they saw.

Not sure how far along you are but I wouldn’t advise it. There is lots of walking and uneven terrain. Also once you eat lunch there is no place to use the restroom for about 3 hours! Several young women in our group complained about that. They literally suggested we go behind a rock. We probably walked over 5 miles at least.
