Although the content of the actual tour was good, some of the hotels were, at best, 2 star and the tour guide was not good. Hotel Meriem in Marrakesh was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty carpet, dirty glasses, furniture falling apart, very, very basic accommodation. Awful view from our hotel window. Food in restaurant - not much variety and only luke warm. The Mogador Marina Hotel in Casablanca I would rate as a 3 star, but all the food was stone-cold! and again not much variety. The Zalagh Palace Hotel in Fes was 4 star+ and wonderful. Just what you expect on a touring holiday. On return to Marrakesh, we stayed at the Wazoo Hotel which was also 4 star and I have no complaints about either of these latter hotels. The tour guide, Abdullah, would not stop to let us exchange money, nor to buy bottled water, and he route-marched us through souks, where we would have liked to have stopped and shopped. We had practically the same lunch every day of salad, meat and cous cous and fresh fruit salad organised by our tour guide at 15 Euros per head (including drinks). By day 3 I was fed up of the same old lunch every day. The first two hotels were 'dry' hotels and not suitable for us westerners who like a drink with their dinner. Some of the hotels we stayed at were not even on our itinery!. I won't ever go on a Tui tour holiday again, I could never trust them to deliver what they promised.

As an overarching summary: The Tracks of the Nomads tour was our first tour style holiday - and it did not disappoint. Whilst there is a lot of driving, the days are split up a great deal with various activities. we found the days to be broken up quite well. The scenery is beautiful, and we got to see a lot of site around Morocco, and a fair deal of its culture. -- Date: March 1st 2024 Group size/number of parties: - 5 total (3 parties) - 1 4x4 (7 seats, full including driver and guide) Weather: In early March, the temperature got up to low 20's by midday. With that being said, long trousers and a fleece was my daily outfit (would recommend bringing outfits that you can layer). Certainly in the High Atlas mountains it was quite windy at times. — Ratings: - Overall rating: 4.5/5 - Itinerary rating: 5/5 - Overall hotel ratings: 3.5/5 - Guide rating: 4/5 Our guide, Hussain, was very friendly and nicely organised. Whilst he didn't always know the answers to more obscure questions asked - he would ask locals where applicable to get an answer for us. The main driver, who did the days across country, was friendly and importantly a good driver. We had ample stops between the driving stints - with opportunities to grab a drink and use the toilet etc - which was always much appreciated. — Hotels: Wazo Hotel: this is the main hotel, 4 nights. Food is buffet style, which had a good variety (varying mains each night). Excellent desert and pastry (breakfast) selection. Rooms are modern and clean. Le Fint (hotel before desert): nice hotel complex, although the room was quite dated and somewhat unclean. Food was buffet style and was quite nice. There was also a small bar area with TV and a pool table - but as its only a small hotel in the middle of nowhere don't expect a huge turnout. Palmeras Y Dunas (desert hotel): although advertised as a tent (which it isn't), the rooms were very nice and rather unique (in a good way). Food here was on the bland side - but breakfast was nice. After the evening meal, there was a group of locals performing various songs around the fire. They also turned off most lights to allow for a better view of the stars. Hotel after desert: Very nice hotel complex with a good bar and the food was nice. The room left a little to be desired, somewhat tired but by all means good enough for what we needed (only staying the one night). — Activities: The below is a list of some activities per se. Which aren't necessarily advertised. - Medicine/ointments place (substitute for Moroccan pancakes) - Camel ride up the Saharan dunes -> watch sunset (cost £20pp) - Potential to do quad biking at dunes. - Carpet and (vast) souvenir shop - Traditional Music in a local village - After the library, tour around local streets, including seeing pottery making and a store. - Stopping off at various view points in the mountains (a nice break from driving) - A short walk around an oasis. Some of the opportunities, e.g. the medicinal/ointment place, carpet/souvenir shop, and the pottery, could be seen as a bit of tourist trap although by all means you didn't have to buy anything. Personally, we bought some mint tea at the medicinal place and some coffee mugs from the pottery vendor. — Some other pointers, which may prove useful for reference: - It cost us 100 dirham to get into the centre from the Wazo hotel. - Expect lunch to cost 80-140 dirham (incl. drink). Lunch spots were very nice, with good views. -The lunch selections were relatively limited - appreciably they are typically quite remote areas. Typically had omlette, kebabs, cous-cous, tagine. - Tipping is customary, we paid our guide and driver once we had returned to Wazo hotel. My partner and I tipped the driver and guide 200 and 300 respectively.

Over priced waste of time. Tui reps failed to explain the trip and what was expected. 6 hour boring drive, Kerim could hardly speak English and had no idea what you were asking him. One person asked him the same question 6 times!!! Nothing of any historical value stay well away from Tui trips, over priced and badly organised. Tui will probably reply with the usual rubbish of " we value your feedback but will try to improve" rubbish look at the other bad reviews, Richard from the 6th of April for example. Tui replies are probably robot driven and are standard corporate rubbish. Get your trips from locals and keep your money local they appreciate it far more.

The trip was a long one ,17-18 hours, starts with a 3 hour bus ride from Agadir to Marrakesh , then there is a lot of walking around museums and palaces in 40 ° plus heat . It's very interesting, but if you are elderly or have mobility problems, it's a long day. There then follow s a long drawn out lunch and a long drawn out evening meal with a visit to a spice shop were again the whole process is so dragged out its unbelievable. The walk around the souk is amazing and bewildering, so easy to get lost in ther when we had our free time. Finally, there is the 3 hour journey back. This trip costs £110 pp ,its long but worth it just to say you have been

The most boring day i have spent. What a complete waste of time. Lunch was awful usual fatty beef tagine. Drinks not included. About 2.5 hours seeing stuff all good here. 6 hours driving too long and boring especially as the driver did soeak

You should for sure visit this amazing place, full of atmosphere, elegance and joy. The best place in Marrakesh. Great garden, restaurant.

Just returned from this tour, holiday started on 16th September 2022, we had twin centre with 3 nights afterwards in a better 5* hotel outside Marrakech. Husband and wife in late 50's. We are well traveled and I was a tour guide myself for 12 years before settling down and getting married! Tour was good, great to see a bit more of Morocco rather than just the city of Marrakech. It's sold as 8 day tour, but first two and last two in Marrakech, so you are only actually touring for 4 days. It would gain massively if you had an extra day in Merzouga, where the huge sand dunes are. You get there just before sunset and leave straight after sunrise. We did arrive and take the optional camel ride, this was one of the highlights of our trip. We expected to just do a circuit on the flat in front of the dunes, but we not only went straight to the sand, but then we traveled a good way up into the dunes. We then got off the camels, removed our shoes and socks and walked up to a ridge to watch the sunset 30 minutes later. Before returning in the dusk, the drivers helpers tried to sell us gifts, but were asking 300D for things we had just paid 50D at a fossil shop for! We declined. Gorges are nothing special, road of 1000 kasbahs actually had almost that many! Lots of fertile River valleys full of date trees and surprisingly green in a land of scrub and rock. Included breakfast and evening meal were a good standard, but guide did not choice best lunch stops, rather think it was best commission for him, rather than experience for the tourists! Never bad restaurants, but more expensive and mostly the same food at each one. Tajine or skewers, basic salad, olives and bread. Personally, I think this was the guides first trip here. He obviously read notes and knew where to go, but if you asked questions "outside the box", he didn't know the answers and relied on local guides, to answer for him. He kept repeating the same information, about the four most important trees, how the children attend school, etc. The drivers were very good, we had 13 people in our tour split between 3 comfy cars. We took it in turns to sit in the front, but we had lots of room, 3 rows of seats. We tipped drivers 200D from each of us in the car, we also tipped guide 200D each (£18.50), personally I would have given guide only 100D each but that's because I'm an ex guide and can be quite critical of a poor guide. Fun, short trip.

Ok we just came back from this tour and this is my opinion others on the tour May think differently and the old saying you can’t please all of the people all of the time! This is just a helpful guide l have been on your before so l do have some experience so we traveled has a couple arrived in airport about 11pm got picked up by guide with 2 others hotel nice and a plate of salad and bottle water was waiting ( much appreciated) because it was so late breakfast was at 7am pick up was at 8am full tour of Marrakesh including stop off’s for coffee and then lunch ( normally costing about £25) got back to hotel about 6ish dinner at 7 then back to room to pack ( didn’t have chance to use pool) early start 7.30am in 4x4 chose your travel buddies carefully 😂 then some interesting stops got to new hotel about 7pm straight to dinner then pack again for another early 8am start next night desert got there at 6 hit and sweaty with the dreaded deli belly ( nearly everyone on our 14 people tour got it at some point) camels were waiting to go straight from truck at this point l just wanted the pool so didn’t go the tent’s were not really tents more like clad buildings with air con and bathroom but we loved it best nights sleep ever people were fabulous a fire pit in the evening was awesome really really wished we could have stayed another night longer that was every disappointing another 8am start got to our next hotel about 7pm dinner straight away no change of pool dip( again) pick up 8.30 next hotel 6ish dinner at 7pm another early pick up got back to original hotel in time for dinner the flopped by the pool on last day well earned rest it’s not moderate pace it’s fast if your still reading 👏 tips travel light because you won’t have time to unpack take a travel kettle has no accommodation has any tea/ coffee ladies take a pashmina or 2 shorts and vest’s loose shirts it wasn’t at all cold even in desert but we did go in September take stomach tablets and wet wipes don’t change money in first hotel they will rip you off go across the road there’s also a lovely little supermarket and exchange ! drinks are expensive in hotels and there’s no drinks serviced with your evening meals they speak a lot of French there and don’t seem to like the brits much guide and driver were lovely BUT by the end

Don’t waste your time with these gardens, very disappointing indeed. Any other gardens we have visited (botanical or otherwise) around the world far outshine these. Even if they were free it wouldn’t be worth a visit to be honest. Very touristy and nothing inspiring.

A truly beautiful and well loved hidden garden in the midst of Marrakech. Walking in from the stifling heat, even in the morning, the sudden coolness of the gardens comes as a welcome relief. The plants are beautiful and the space is superbly designed as you would imagine. The only negative point was the cost of entry, which for a family of four, turned out to be quite expensive for a place where you would spend a pleasant hour.

A good 1 day introduction of the Berber culture in the spectacular surroundings of the Atlas Mountains. The story telling of Mustafa gave us much more insights about the history, language and traditions. Be prepared for a non-announced pottery shop visit as a first stop.

We had a wonderful private tour of Marrakech. We met the guide and driver close to our hotel and went to all of the spots listed. Tthe tour guide spoke about the history of the city and explained to us what we would be doing that day and in what order. We also had a little bit of free time to be alone when he would escort us into the museums and then allow us to tour it by ourselves, which I enjoyed. The guide gave us some good advice for the remainder of our trip as well. I recommend if you aren't sure exactly where to go and which tickets to buy- he was very insightful and helpful. We enjoyed out time.

This was part of a stop as part of a tour group we were traveling with and we enjoyed the dinner. The show afterwards was nice. It was really something that added to our enjoyment of our stop in Morocco.

This without a doubt was my worst excursion. Booked through a tui rep I thought its be pretty safe. The plan was to get picked up by the tour guide and bus, go to this beautiful garden (something similar but far smaller to kew gardens) spend about an hour and half taking pictures and looking around. From here we go with the guide back on the bus to a 'secret garden' here we get some tea and Moroccan cakes. Sounds lovely. What really happened was there were 4/5 tour groups trying to get in the garden at the same time. In the confusion several families were refused entry(from all the groups). The staff at the Gardens were so rude and unhelpful. I tried to explain (as did the other families) we are with a tour group. The staffs responded with no ticket no entry. As I was explaining I am with that group of people (whom by now are out of view) I get told "not my problem".

I wasnt able to attend as it was cancelled due to lack of interest. Prior to this i called constantly to get pick up details noone answered the calls. I even emailed and got no response. Ive rang again and emailed in regards to get my refund but not response. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism
