- P6628HFalid0 contributionsDay trip for 2, booked 1 night in advance, great experience and great foodExcellent experience, I booked this excursion on booking.com 1 night before not really knowing what to expect. The bus picked us up in city center at a fuel station where about 6 other people were waiting to come onto the bus as well, it was a really amazing experience, good food, organized, well worth the money spent.Written March 31, 2024
- Inspire018305183730 contributionsDay Trip to the High AtlasExcellent day trip to the High Atlas with camel ride and walk to a cascade. Very well organised and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Driss was a great guide. He's from the mountains, so knowledgeable about the people and places we visited. A courteous and very helpful chap.Written January 24, 2024
- RunawayWitness0 contributionsAmazing! Thanks to a great guide, Red oun.Fantastic. I was looking forward to this day trip and had high expectations and I was not disappointed and it's mostly due to the guide, Red oun. He was very informative and stopped in perfect locations for photo ops and history lessons. The trails, day in the life experiences, waterfalls, views were exactly what I wanted and then the camel ride was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. The agafay desert was silent. I didn't want it to end.Written December 28, 2023
- emilyb06080 contributionsGreat experience, guide and people! We booked the “Atlas Mountains and 3 Valleys & Waterfalls & Desert Agafay - Day Trip Marrakech” on viator but couldn’t find the review page so thought we’d leave one on here! This was such a great day trip from Marrakech! After spending 3 days in the city it was wonderful to get out and explore the other landscapes of Morocco and escape the heat as well. Our tour guide Idriss was amazing! He was Very easy to make conversation with, funny and attentive the whole time. It was also great that he had personal experience living in the villages so we got to hear about how real life is. We went on a camel ride, visited an argon oil cooperative, saw multiple villages in the Atlas Mountains and had a local lunch. Everyone we came across was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this trip and Idriss to everyone!Written July 7, 2023
- Beatriz Z0 contributionsMAGICAL, MY FOOT!!My husband and I booked the “Magical Dinner in Marrakech Desert and camel ride at sunset with Transportation: 05:00 PM” ONLY YO BE STOOD UP!!! We showed up at 4:55 and had to call 5 times before anybody answered. We were told “Sorry, it’s at 5:50-6” stoop in 90 degree weather waiting until 6 AND NOBODY reached out or showed up. I called MANY times only to be told “5 minutes, 5 minutes” and AFTER 90 minutes they finally came up with an excuse about the driver being in a sudden “accident”!!!! Our “magical” anniversary dinner AND ONLY NIGHT IN MARRAKECH, shot in the foot!!! Don’t risk it, they probably didn’t think 2 people was worth their time. A little honesty would have been appreciated, after all we did come half way around the world for this. Book with any other company!!! #TargaTravel sucks!!Written June 3, 2023
- LeonBerthold7930 contributionsAmazingThe day was a very good and nice experience from start to finish. You were shown a lot and you saw a lot. The guide Youssef enjoys his work and does a very good job with heart. The driver Hassan is also a good man. Absolutely to suggest! Greetz LeonWritten January 16, 2023
- 2020WayneC0 contributionsGreatExcellent day tour led by Youssef with Targa Travel. Showed up reliably on time and day was well planned out. We are used to a faster pace of travel than what was covered during this tour, but overall was still very enjoyable and Youssef was a fantastic guide. Would recommend for groups, families, and if you are looking for a relaxing day in the high atlasWritten January 2, 2023
- tamsyng20130 contributionsNot to be missed! Our trip was fantastic! We met with our guide (Jawad Mazzick) and driver at Jemaa El Fnaa and we drove with our small group, taking pictures on the way, to our first stop to ride the camels and have a tea. We then started to ascend the mountains up towards Imlil Valley. The landscape is beautiful! We had a delicious lunch (best tagine we have had!) and then took a walk through the town to Jawad’s house for some more tea and the amazing view from the terrace. We then stopped to see how argan oil is made and sample some products. The trip was very well organised and very enjoyable! We would highly recommend!Written October 27, 2022
- V7738FBvanessag0 contributionsFab day in Altas MountainsWe had a fantastic day with yousef. Enjoyed all aspects of the trip, the Argan oil cooperative, trek to waterfall, lunch at the Berber restaurant and the camel ride in traditional dress.Written October 25, 2022
- GalbraithHR0 contributionsAmazing value for money, superb guides- get to experience a true sense of Berber lifeTook the Atlas Mountains, three valleys (inc waterfall), Afagay and Camel ride day trip in October 2022. Tour led by Mohammed ('potato') who was fantastic with Ali driving- we packed so much in to a day (around 9hours). Tour guide went above and beyond to accommodate a range of languages on the English tour, never stopped hosting (and helping to serve the lynch)... very personable with good humour and an excellent ability to take 'insta-worthy' photos! 'Potato' (as he was affectionately known locally and asked to be referred to as) originates in Imlil and showed his hometown and Berber culture with authenticity and pride. Trip booked via Viator and will leave review there when able. Very enjoyable, great value for money. Would suggest that the advert is updated to expand on the vast array of trip highlights (such as inc. a Breakfast and stop at the Árgan female cooperative and cosmetics store, lots of photo stops and the homemade lunch option) as well as the flexibility on pick up. Would suggest lunch is worth more Dirhams than currently charged.Written October 24, 2022

- 695payalb0 contributionsHighly RecommendHi! I came on this trip on May 10, 2019 with two of my best friends and it was def one of the best highlights of our time in Morroco. We also met 3 older ladies on this trip that we have been trying to find ever since to reconnect because we had such a good time with them! Would you still have the names of the people that went on this tour on May 10th to help us find them?Written March 10, 2021

We did the 3 day trip from Marrakesh to Imlil and the Berber Villages. The views were beautiful and the food was delicious. We booked our trip last minute but these guys were able to accommodate us no problem. Our guide for most of the trip - Driss - was a local, who was knowledgeable, able to be flexible, and made us at ease. He offered multiple routes for a bit of flexibility for different skill levels. He even helped my partner pull out needles from his hand (and the rest of him) when he fell on a cactus - ouch! Some of the best food we had in Morocco was on this excursion, with lots of vegetables in the mountain tagines. There is the equivalent of a private chef - Omar - up in the mountains and a mule to carry any heavy equipment at high altitudes. The locals were friendly (lots of Berber whiskey) and we were happy to contribute to the tourism growth of the local economy, which appears to be growing. We would recommend sturdy hiking shoes, which we didn't have...!

I did the 3 days tour from Marrakesh. At first, I drove with a few other tourists to the Atlas Mountains. It was slightly touristy what I don’t like…
The most people do the 1 day tour and don’t really see something of the mountains or experience the culture. After lunch all other tourist left, and I was the only tourist left in the hostel. The Berbers were so nice, and the food was amazing. At the second day my guide Larbi picked me up and now the real journey started. Normally you get a mule, but I was only by myself, so it wasn’t really necessary, and I was happy to carry my stuff. It is like a challenge :D
So we hiked up the mountains and had beautiful views on the Atlas. The food Larbi cooked for me was perfect. Especially in the middle of nowhere and more than I was able to eat. :D His English wasn’t the best, but he tried so hard that we had a lot of nice conversations. So we talked with a lot of other Berbers, played football with the children or enjoyed tea on nearly each stop we did. It was beautiful, and I can highly recommend the trip. Sometimes they are not 100% on time or the trip isn’t completely planed, but they always found the best experience for me and to be honest I don’t travel to Morocco to have the same culture like home :D
To summarize: This were the best days of my Morocco trip. =) Thank you soo much =)

Thank you so much for your very erudite review. So glad you had the opportunity to experience the 'real' Morocco.
Many visitors unlike yourself expect the same culture and customs as they have at home. Part of travel is Iam sure you will agree is to experience life and living in different countries as the local people spend their day to day lives. Come back soon. Targa Travel supports responsible travel.
