Idris our tour guide could not have been more welcoming and informative, navigating us safely through every stage of our tour. There was no expectation to tip, but my friend and I felt he was exceptionally worthy of this and ensured that he was rewarded for his professionalism and fantastic hosting. I would highly recommend this trip and this tour guide.Written January 14, 2025

- Becandmike220 contributionsAn excellent trip to the Atlas MountainsWhat a truly excellent trip. This is a whole days experience out into the Atlas Mountains. Great communication by the tour guide as to where to meet. Tour guide really friendly and informative. Take good footwear and layers for the walk to the waterfall as it can get nippy. The food is lovely and well worth the 70 DM charge. A definite must do in order to escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and see some of the wider culture of Morocco.Written January 13, 2025

- 230miam0 contributionsDesigned for tourists, not too authentic but overall a nice eveningCute experience and good value but wouldn't say it's that cultural. It's very much made for tourists and you're on a camel for about 5 mins and the quad bikes are all in pretty poor condition. Food was nice and overall was still a nice evening but could probably find a more authentic experience. The camels were all attached to each other and clearly had been doing it for a long time so I felt sorry for them.Written January 13, 2025

This trip was excellent value and not only did everything it said on the itinerary but our guide Hamza was wonderful and told us plenty of local information and looked after us very well. The lunch was very good with amazing views from the roof terrace and it was nice to relax for tea at Hamza's family home before the walk to a waterfall with lovely scenery enroute. I didn't do the camel ride but again we were provided with tea while waiting. The stop at the women's co-operative to see how argon oil was made was interesting and you didn't feel pressurised to buy. Thanks also to our driver for negotiating the mountain roads!

Hamza was an amazing and hilarious guide. We were a group of 13 and he quickly built a rapport with us and his jokes were a highlight of the trip! The camel ride was so much fun, and getting dressed up was a nice touch. Hamza was very accommodating when we asked to have a longer walk - definitely recommend!!!

This trip is only as good as the guide you go with. Fortunatelty we had a brilliant guide, Ishmael and a great driver Mohamed.
It's a full day 09:00 - approx 17:30. Despite having rain and low cloud in the mountains (where apparently it seldom rains ' typical!'), the scenery was fabulous. Ishmael gave us lots of interesting information about life in the mountains and the Berber people - it was this that really brought the trip to life.
We opted out of the camel ride, there was no pressure to take part at all, but those that did said it was great fun. The waterfalls were great, not on the scale of Ouzoud but we didn't expect them to be. I would say that you need sensible footware; trainers, walking boots are perfect, something with some tread, but flip flops or high heels definitely not.
The waterfalls are reached via a hilly pathway, which can narrow in places and is stoney. In case you are worried there are no precipitace drops or anything like that, and the walk to the waterfalls can be done by anyone who can manage a hilly woodland walk for about 30 mins (it is not accessible for people with limited mobility though).
Prior to the walk we were taken to a terraced restaurant for a tagine, which was really rather good (one of the better ones that we ate on the holiday). It cost around €6 / £5.50 (this isn't included), and included was water and some fruit.
After the waterfalls we were thankful to be taken to Ishmael's aunt's house, where we were served mint tea and some nibbles.
The journey back takes about 1 hour 15 mins (you take a different route home).
We thought that it was excellent value for money, and Mohammed's driving was first class and Ishmael's knowledge and humour was much appreciated.
I would highly recommend this trip.
Thankyou for a lovely day.

All the above reviews potentially set up our day to fail. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. To begin with we had been told we would be met at 8:50 however we weren't picked up till 9:15 and whole thing seemed very chaotic. The conditions of the camels was fairly questionable and we decided to give it a miss. Our guide was lovely but it wasn't very informative. The driver had a chronic cough which in a post covid world was fairly disconcerting. Seatbelts were compulsory but driving while using his phone was apparently totally fine. The optional lunch is not very optional. In short, we paid ÂŁ20 which is no more or less than it was worth and we are slightly confused as to why it is so highly rated.

Our guide Youssef Bachi and driver Youssef were great. Despite doing this trip every day they showed remarkable enthusiasm and graciousness. Youssef answered all questions well (in English) and with obvious real pride for his country.
We were picked up on time ( unlike 2 days ago with another operator who kept us waiting nearly an hour) and were well looked after throughout the day.
It was excellent value and we enjoyed the scenery, the camel ride, the walk to the waterfall, and the visit to the Argan oil shop, where we tasted some oil with bread and also some “marmalade” which was a delicious paste of crushed almonds, Argan oil and honey.
The lunch was basic but tasty and reasonable price at 130 MAD for 2 people.
The walk to the waterfall was not difficult if you have reasonable fitness but it was quite rocky underfoot and involved some hills/ steps.
All in all it was a very good way to spend the day and get out of the crazy bustle that is Marrakech.
Extra thanks to Youssef who went out of his way, in his own time, to deliver a jacket which we had left on the bus. Very much appreciated.

We had Hassan as our tour guide on the day. Lovely guy who always asked if we were having a good time, comfortable, or needed anything. He even let others on the trip use his hotspot during the trip.
Unfortunately, we went on the ONLY day where there was a crazy amount of rain fall which hugely affected the trip. Not anyones fault but it meant we didn't get to enjoy the waterfalls (since it involved a hike trip that we decided not to take as a whole group) and also we had to eat our meal inside.
The meal itself was amazing. Probably some of the best food I had during my trip to Marrakech. Good amount of food was given.
The camel ride that comes first was interesting. I had done a camel ride 2 days before this one and this was a lot more bumpy and up/down. Nevertheless, because I was used to being around camels, I found the experience more authentic than going in a straight line.
Cannot comment much since we didn't get to experience the trip like others would.

A good, informative and interactive time spent in nature. Hamza was a great guide; he was friendly and attentive to everyone in our excursion party. He made a long day short and enjoyable. Mohammad was such a good driver, I did not experience the usual car sickness on long journeys.
Our excursion party consisted of 14 people, small enough for Hamza to give everyone attention and information during the manageable hike. Everything on offer was fabulous - the traditional breakfast and optional lunch were very delicious.
Communication was excellent throughout - from enquiry, purchase and prior to the excursion. 24hours before we were due to travel, Hamza contacted to confirm the pick up point. This excursion is value for money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys natural scenery. It was time well spent before Christmas.

Good points - Issmail was very good at explaining the culture of Berber people. We donned on nomadic clothes for the camel ride which was lovely. The breakfast (or lunch) served by the Berber women was simple but we love the honey and the peanut butter we dipped the bread in. The walk to the waterfall was nice and wasn't too strenuous.
To be improved - it was advertised as air-conditioned van but it was only turned on up till the camel trip. For the rest of the trip, it was breeze from the opened window. It was ok going there as Atlas Mountains weather is cooler but traveling back to Marrakesh was uncomfortable esp when we were nearing the city as the weather was hot at nearly 40c.
The breakfast by the Berber women was not really breakfast as it was served at noon. So bring some food to eat along the way or else you'd be hungry. Lunch (extra 7euros, not 6 euros as advertised) was served at about 1530 after the walk to the waterfall.

We had an exceptional day thanks to our Guide Youssef Kamchad and his driver this Monday 16th. From the outset, Youssef has demonstrated impeccable professionalism, with a thorough knowledge of the region and a real passion for his profession. He took us through the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas Valleys, while sharing fascinating anecdotes and rich explanations about local culture.
The driver was equally remarkable: punctual, courteous, and exemplary driving, we felt totally safe throughout the day. Mountain roads can be impressive, but he has navigated them with ease and serenity.
Thanks to them, this excursion was much more than just a sightseeing tour, but a real immersion in the beauty and richness of the Moroccan mountains. We highly recommend Youssef and his driver for anyone wishing to have an authentic and unforgettable experience.
Thank you again for this wonderful adventure!

I went in August it was 47 degrees so I wore leggings and a top I would not advise a crop top as it is a Muslim country and therefore have a very conservative attitude to dress code
