What to Expect
Day 1: Morning pick up at your accommodation at 8h, then departure by bus towards the high Atlas. We first visit the natural bridge of Imi N'Ifri, then head towards the village of Ouzoud where we admire the highest waterfalls of Morocco with an optional walk around the cascades. Free lunch in a local restaurant (or pique-nique which particpants can buy in Azilal and stop on the way for a pique-nique break), then continue towards the happy valley of Aït Bougmez (1850 m) through amazing landscapes of Berber villages, green valleys and high mountains. upon arrival in R’bat, welcome by our local hosts in their family homestay, then, after a welcome tea, we take our first stroll together with the family in the village and surrounding fields to get a first glimpse of the Berber life.

Day 2: at 8h30, We begin our today adventure with an easy walk through the green fields to the village of Ibakliouen where we discover the famous dinosaur footprints at the heart of M'goun Geopark. Afterwards, we visit the water mills in Ait Imi Village and tea ceremony in a local family house. Lunch under walnut trees then we continue our walk to visit the local weekly market of Tabant, a meeting point for the surrounding Berber nomadic tribes to exchange goods, animals and also news. At few steps from Tabant, we climb the to the marabout of Sidi Moussa, a former fortified granary and holy shrine dominating the valley, according to the local tradition, the lord Sidi Moussa was famous for his supernatural gifts to cure the illnesses and especially to make the women fertile. From the top of the Marabout, splendid panoramic view of the valley. Descent to the village then drive by bus to our homestay in the village of R'bat. In the evening, dinner under the rhythm of the tambourines and the flute of Boughanim musicians, symbol of fertility, generosity, bravery and peace.

The hike takes around 5 hours in total including breaks.

The level of the hike is easy, the hike is possible on mule back, the mules are available on request on spot (20EUR/day)

Day 3:Breakfast in our homestay and goodbye to our local hosts. We take the same road to the city of Azilal then head towards the amazing mountain lake of Bin Eluouidane where you will have enough time to enjoy speldid views and do some water sports (optional: Banana Boat, Jet Ski, Wakeboard etc.). Free lunch in a local restaurant then head towards Marrakech. Estimated arrival to Marrakech around 18h.
