We arrived at the meeting point 5 minutes early and although the place was quite spacious and there weren't many people, we were getting restless waiting for our guide Jaafar, who was a few minutes late. However, when we saw a familiar person from the photo seen on Withlocals walking towards us with a calm step, we immediately calmed down. Jaafar told us what we would do for those couple of hours, what we would see, and led the four of us through the narrow and winding streets of the Medina deep into the local hustle and bustle of sellers, buyers, workers, and artisans. Jaafar traveled at a calm but confident pace, turning around from time to time to check if we were following him. From time to time, he would stop and tell us something interesting about one or another place in the Medina. While traveling through the streets of the Medina among the stalls, it was clear that he knew almost everyone here and almost everyone knew him. We had a great time in the Medina, learned a lot and saw even more. A great excursion that I recommend to others.

We had a brilliant evening with Adil, so much food we couldn't eat it all. Being a private tour was so great, Adil was enthusiastic, engaging & very informative. We always try & do a food tour wherever we go & this was one of the best. Selection of foods were excellent & some locations that as a tourist you would probably never venture into, which is the point obviously. Thank you Adil for a memorable night 🙏

Booked a tour with withlocals but our selected guide was changed a few days before the tour. No issue and so glad as Aimad was absolutely perfect for our visit around the tastes of Marrakech. We were a family of 5 with 3 grown up children and all really enjoyed the tour. Aimads knowledge and understanding of not only the food but all things from history and culture to religion and the way of life was amazing - such a great way to see many parts of Marrakech that we simply would have missed; you can tell he is very much a man who loves this city and all that it has to offer. Thoroughly recommend the withlocals food tasting tour and Aimad for being such a good, friendly and thoughtful guide. Thank you Aimad !

Jaafar was an excellent guide with a fantastic in depth knowledge of Marrakech both the history and buildings. His tour of the Souk took us to places that we would never have found left to our own devices. Cannot recommend Jaafar highly enough

What a great experience we had with Hassan today! My husband and I enjoyed a very authentic tour of the Medina that allowed us to see a ‘local’ perspective that we would never have seen on our own. This private experience is well worth the money - Hassan is incredibly generous with his knowledge and with his showcasing of the local cultures within the Medina. While we went to many local artisan shops where we could purchase goods, we never felt any pressure to do so. However many of the shops were in support of local co-operatives; so while similar goods could be found in the ‘tourist’ souks, the quality and craftsmanship of the local artisans was readily apparent. Highly recommend Hassan for his knowledge, style of guiding, and his warm and friendly attitude.

Adil is a very enthusiastic guide who not only shared his favorite foods with us at places we wouldn't found on our own, but he shared interesting info about Marakesh and Morocco and answered question after question that we asked him.

We had a very nice evening tour of the Medina with Mohamed, who is knowledgeable and passionate about his city. The tour was fairly fast-paced as there was much ground to cover, but also included sampling different types of local food which, we didn't expect (the description said a snack, but it was enough to make us cancel our dinner reservations for later). Overall it was a nice tour, thanks Mohamed!

I can’t comment because the guide cancelled the night before saying that large parties take priority even though I had booked 6 days in advance. So disapointing as this was supposed to be our first activity of our holiday

Adil was a very smart, knowledgeable and patient guy in answering all of our questions, about Marrakech, Morroco and Islam/the Arab World. This was the perfect introduction-tour to the city and country for those coming here for the first time - my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it!

We decided last minute to book a guided tour to enjoy Marrakesh with a historic perspective. Starting at the Koutoubia mosque we began our tour while being told of the different sections the city once held. As we continued, Redouan gave his many recommendations as to avoid the tourist traps and discussed the rich history of the buildings and attractions available to see. I won’t spoil the rest though it can be said that if you are visiting this beautiful place you should get a tour guide to assist you and explain in depth what the place once was and what it is now, and for that we highly recommend Redouan for his expert knowledge, humour, guidance and overall friendliness. He also was able to communicate in perfect English to support us even more. Marrakesh is a wonderful city made even more special thanks to Redouan.

We have had around 15 with local and other food tours all-around Europe and SE Asia and Aimad's tour is at the top. Showed us where the food is grown and how it comes to the retail market and insights on daily food buying and local laws. The stops were where locals buy their food and it was delicious. We were totally full at the end and now know a lot more about Moroccan food and culture. ALSO, no travel belly issues afterwards which I fully explored with him before the tour and he assured us no issues. Highly reccomend Aimad.

Adil was great. We got our time wrong to start the tour, and Adil was so kind, and waited for us. We had a great time. He was so knowledgeable, and full of facts. He took us to a little local tea shop to try traditional mint tea and pastries, which was wonderful. We went to all.of the main sites, and learnt so much that we never would have known. Thanks Adil! Booked two separate tours with Ouidad for the same day, assuming that when we met up, she would combine them in a comprehensive way, which she did. We had a fun and lovely day exploring old Marrakech. Lots of laughter, information, great sightseeing and shopping. We're on a long trip, 26 days, and this will certainly be one of the most memorable days we spent.
