- Adventure6647933818700A wonderful excursion to the Atlas Mountains with a delightful traditional Berber lunchAn absolutely fabulous tour. My wife was initially sceptical as I booked this without telling her! She was quickly won over by the beautiful scenery and wonderful people we met. Our guide, Marwan was amazing and ensured all of us had an unforgettable experience. The trip was shared with 5 other people that we hadn’t met before and it was a pleasure sharing the trip with them. We had a very comfortable journey in a minivan with many scenic stops on the way. It is worth ensuring that you take warm layers (if travelling in winter months) as it is quite cool at altitude. As general guide for you, some of us were in shorts and hoodies, whilst my wife was in several layers, bobble hat and gloves and still needed a blanket when we stopped for lunch! The trip included a short hike and also a short walk to the Berber house for lunch. These were gentle walks and trainers were suitable. The lunch itself was beautiful. We sat outside and were able to see the stunning scenery as we ate. The food was second to none and we had bread and salad to start, chicken tagine and couscous (there was a vegetarian option but none of us had this), with fruit and Berber biscuits for dessert. The family were so welcoming and the experience was fantastic. One of the stops on the way to lunch included the Argan oil coop. This was very interesting and my wife happily purchased a few of their products at very reasonable prices. Look out for a particularly interesting product for men…none of our group made the purchase so I can’t state if it worked…if you do the trip, you’ll know exactly what product I’m referring too! The team organising the trip kept me up to date throughout the process and Marwan (our guide) was excellent - his knowledge, patience and humour were all perfect for our trip.
- daniel47x00Nice trip and friendly guideOur trip was guided by Abdel, he was a very good driver and guide and talked us trough the tour and questions we had! Highly recommended

Womens’ co-operative was a lovely experience and we purchased their amazing argan oil. We had ample time to stop at viewpoints, walk for a while and take photos of the amazing surroundings. Thanks, Marwan!

- davidlF9897WZ00Exceptional ExperienceA great trip to the Atlas Mountains with an exceptional guide. Marwan was incredibly informative, hospitable, and thoughtful when it came to anticipating our needs. The local lunch was exceptional and the day was just simply perfect. Highly recommend.
- VictoriaSLondon00Wonderful small group tourWe had a fantastic day out with Abdul, exploring the Atlas Mountains and 5 valleys. Abdul is the most patient, knowledgeable and informative guide you could possibly with for, and our experience was 5 stars. There were just 4 of us in a minivan and Abdul encouraged us to take as long at each stop as we wanted. Sadly we couldn’t trek to the waterfall as the route was closed due to the recent earthquake, but all other parts of the tour went ahead. Highly recommended
- LGallimore00ExcellentThe trip was fantastic. Our driver Abdul was very flexible and able to provide us with a lot of information. Would highly recommend.
- Carlie150200Fantastic Trip!Brilliant trip from start to finish. Our guide Abdul was very friendly & knowledgeable, went out his way to make sure we were looked after & happy with the itinerary. Fantastic views of the mountains and a lovely meal at the Berber house. Devastating to see the poor people who have lost their homes due to the recent earthquake but glad we went as these villages rely on tourism so much. Highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting Morocco
- 690angusl00Excellent Day TourA fantastic tour. Abdul's knowledge and passion for Morocco is exceptional. We all learnt so much about the country. Lunch with the Berber family was another wonderful highlight. Would definitely recommend!

We went in April 2019. We were next to a parking lot and could see a lot of construction which took away from the vibe a bit. I think most camel tours close to the city are setup like this so not sure you can get a better experience without going to the desert. Staff was really lovely though.

We had a really great time on the camel ride! We were picked up on time, as promised and taken to the Palmerie. On the way lots of things were pointed out about the city, all very interesting. Once we got there, we put on our outfits and strolled on camels up to the berber house, had tea etc and came back.
The area is bascially a rough, rocky/grittyyish area just on the north of the city, where lots of palatial houses are. It did seem a bit of a wasteland really, but for us it was fine, as it was quick and not hours of driving. We had a trip ona camel, enough for our kids to get a taster. But note, it's not a desert - the nearest proper sandy desert is the Sahara, days away.
Nice to have some teat in a berber tent, was again pretty quick but enough.
Everyone involved was very friendly, courteous, answred all our questions, and most importantly turned up on time!!

I couldn't recommend this activity more highly! I got collected at my agreed pickup location, we then collected 2 other groups of 2 people each. I went alone as a solo female!
Arriving at the Palm Grove we got dressed up before getting on our allocated camels. I was on the very front on a camel called Vicky. You really have to hold on when the camels are getting up / kneeling down 😂 when walking they are very calm, Vicky wanted a lot of food breaks!
Our guide Hamza was wonderful, stopping for photo opportunities and kept asking if we were all okay / general questions about us!
The snacks and mint tea at the Berber House were lovely, the camel ride is about 30min to the house and 30min back. Wonderful trip, highly recommend! They also provided us water at the end!

This tour exceeded my expectations. The driver was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot of things we didn’t know about morroco. Our tour guide Hamza was really amazing and entertaining, he made us more comfortable with riding the camels and had a great personality.

We were picked up by Marone, our very friendly driver. During the ride he told us some stuff about the city and the palmgrove (and it is ab-so-lutely beautiful there). When we arrived at the palmgrove we instantly got on the camel en made a beautifull ride theough the palmgrove to a berber home. Our guide lives there and his mother made delicious mint tea for us and had some snacks. (I never liked olives, but I ate A LOT of them there. They were so nice). After some time we took the ride back on the camels. The sunset was so amazing, it made everybody quiet. The orange light and hundreds of palmtrees... it was the most beautiful thing I have seen this year. And then later Marone picked us up again, we listened to music and were singing in the car. Marone also showed us the new part of marrakech - the way home we also had just so much fun.
Thank you so much for this amazing evening. It was absolutely worth it!!!!

My friend and I had a truly wonderful experience. Our driver, Marone was very friendly, helpful, and navigated the craziness of Marrakech traffic so well. Our guide Hamza was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and took some great photos for us. Although, there wasn’t a deep explanation of Berber life, some info was shared and you can always ask your guide. We actually just enjoyed the snacks and tea provided and the chance to relax and meet the others on our ride. The whole experience was amazing and surprisingly quiet and relaxing. We loved it and had a fantastic time.

The tour company picked us up at the hotel. I would suspect they will you as well but when booking it should say in the details if they will pick you up directly at the hotel.
Is there a weight limit?

No there wasn’t a weight limit... I believe the camels can carry a lot
