This is our first vacation to Marrakech (visiting from the US with our children) so we decided to book this tour on our first evening in town to help us learn our way around. Our guide, Ayoub exceeded our expectations, he was very knowledgeable, made sure we were comfortable & very attentive to our children. The food was amazing, the stops were spaced out well and allowed for lots of questions, pictures etc... The dinner at the end of the tour was one of the best meals we have ever had and the view from the rooftop was great. We highly recommend this tour especially if it’s your first time visiting and if possible ask for Ayoub he is simply the best. Also we are very cautious of Covid and he wore us mask the entire time & provided hand sanitizer at every stop we made.

We did this tour on our second to less day as we were recommended this trip by a fellow traveller at our hotel. We had a wonderful time, discovering parts of Marrakech we hadn't explored during our previous days. We were guided around the city by a wonderful guide, who gave a proper insight on how locals live in Morocco and places they visit, away from the main tourist areas. It was very fascinating and the traditional dinner included in the tour was amazing, finished the tour off perfectly.

We had heard good reviews of "a taste of marrakech food tour" when we booked it, but the tour far exceeded our expections. Omar was an amazing tour guide. He looked after the needs of the individuals in the party extremely well, remembered everyone's name and patiently kept regular checks that the party was all together. He was professional yet personable and very informative.

The food experiences on the tour were amazing - not only the food itself but the local places where we tried everything were places we would never have discovered ourselves. From moroccan pancakes and donuts, patisserie, olives, harira soup - the variety was fantastic.

The icing on the cake for me though was the visit to hadj Mustapha - the restaurant which had been featured on Gordon Ramsay Road Trip on tv last week. Amazing lamb tagine!

Really worthwhile trip and very good value too! Thank you Urban Adventures and Omar!

We took this tour with Youssef, I actually bought it through Expedia, the company is urban Adventures.
Oh my! he is a history professor, the passion and knowledge he shares with us was like never I had seen before with other guides.
We have such a splendid experience with him that time flied! He took us to places we will never had discovered by ourselves, the traditional communal bakery, the famous restaurant with a stone hole on the floor to roast the meat.
I hope many tourists buy this tour with him, they will not regret it, on the contrary will forever remember the time someone show a wonderful new world to them!

I really enjoyed the food tour we had with Omar, he was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, funny and encouraging! It felt like he had time for everyone and it was great to see how much the local sellers liked him too. The foods were all delicious and it was cool to see them being traditionally cooked (bread and lamb) as well as experiencing both market stalls and a restaurant. Highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent tour. Ayoub, our guide, spoke excellent English and was very informative about the cuisine of Marrakech. And other aspects of Morocco! He took us to many different locations for a lot of great food. He was very friendly also and made us feel very relaxed and welcome. Highly recommended

Savory donuts, honey/nut bars, harira (soup), olives, sheep head, tanjia, and Khunjul (herbal tea) were on the menu for the evening. Ali was our insightful and congenial
guide and given his connections to vendors we were able to have engaging and convivial interactions with them all. A highlight of our Marrakech trip and I highly recommend the tour.

A great way to navigate the hustle and bustle of the main market and the side streets. Omar our guide was excellent and has great historical and current knowledge of the city and its people.

You get to try all sorts of food and see how some of it is made and obtained by the residents. Who knew that the unmarked donut shop is the equivalent of a pub at the end of the day for working people...

There’s lots to try and a dinner at the end.

Top tip: don’t worry about saving too much room for the dinner as three main plates (tangia) and three side plates (veg tagine) are shared between ten people - so embrace the snacks as you go.

I booked a cooking lesson on tagine, it was really nice. Very reliable and fantastic. Our teacher, Sanae, met us at the main square. I took my husband with me even if he didnt pay for the class they let him join us and eat with us. Sanae was extremely helpful and kind. She took us to the market and and gave us some tipa on buying food. We went back to the riad, had tea and started the cooking. All in a very relaxing environment. I definitely feel I learnt some tricks on how to make a real tagine! I highly recommend booking with them

The tour guide was really nice and he knew what we wanted. The reason why I give it 3 stars is because of covid, it felt kind of limited. I have been sick and the sun was killing me so our experience was super limited. I think if you tell him exactly why you have in mind to experience, he will deliver.
