    Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled lanes. In the shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, and Chefchouen Ethnographic Museum. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises nearby.

Enough hours to explore
Souka was a great guide! My friend had a little accident and needed extended help and Souka went above & beyond to help us. The tour itself is great, many hours to explore the city. I just wish we had AC and if it was on it wasnt noticeable.

My trip to Chefchaouen was made perfect by our guide Souka.
She has a wonderful sense of humor and playfulness, and is very perceptive about her customer's needs. I forgot my phone, which means I didn't have a camera to take pictures of this beautiful town. I asked her to help me find a place where I could buy a disposable camera. She responded by giving me her phone to use for the day!
I took a lot of pictures of this uniquely beautiful town. Thank you Souka for your thoughtfulness!

We had a really good time, when we were planning the trip, already knew it will be a long drive and we were okay with it, while Souka made it even better.

The blue town was awesome, we had 4 hours exploring the city and it was more than enough. Thank you 3T for an amazing day.

Pretty, but far!

The tour was great value and the guides were friendly. Chefchaouen is indeed worth a visit. it is incredibly pretty, with exquisite views and interesting alleys everywhere.

However, I personally think it’s too far to travel in one day. 5 hours each way! It didn’t help that we were waiting around for an hour before departure, presumingly because people were late. We weren’t told.

The distance clearly isn’t the fault of the organisers, but the logistics are worth considering if you are thinking of of booking.

Perhaps what most contributes towards the 3 star rating the most is the fact that no substantial stops are made on the way there or back for a meal. Nor communication re timing of toilet / snack stops. Clearly, maximising time in the destination is the aim, but it meant that we didn’t have breakfast or dinner and found ourselves incredibly hungry by the time we got back at 10pm.

Advice - pack some breakfast and dinner if you are like me and have a high metabolism!

If you are happy to sit in a coach for 10 hours, then it’s absolutely a worthwhile visit!

Chefchaouen worth quick visit
Chefchaouen is worth seeing, but quickly. I would have preferred to leave after the tour but instead they gave us a couple free hours to roam. (There is nothing to do there). This caused us to get home close to 10pm and hotel drop off is NOT included. Also the transport does not include much information. It’s just a bus ride.
