My husband and I had an incredible time learning to surf! Conor was an outstanding instructor—patient, encouraging, and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. His clear instructions and positive attitude helped us gain confidence on the board, and we enjoyed every second of the experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and supportive surfing lesson!

What a experience. The wave were not the biggest but I will never forger the feeling of standing up on the board for the first time. The adrenaline and power of the ocean, wow! I owe it all to Connor my instructor who was positive and knowledgeable, not to mention just a good time and motivated me to achieve this once in a lifetime feeling first time feeling. I booked a surfing lesson for our family three weeks in advance. Less than 24 hours before our scheduled lesson, we were notified of its cancellation by saying "no surfing waves forecasted on North Shore" This last-minute cancellation left us very disappointed and frustrated. We were beginner surfers, we didn't need 4 foot waves, just a good first time experience. Fortunately, my husband found another place to get lessons from and we had an incredible experience (Uncle Bryan's). And there were a ton of waves for them to surf. I would not recommend booking with Catch'a Wave unless you are prepared for the possibility of last-minute cancellations.

Connor was the best. Patient and friendly, he took his time to make sure we felt comfortable. Awesome experience and would highly recommend!

Conner was an amazing instructor and I highly recommend taking a lesson. It was my first time surfing, and was a bit hesitant because I’m not a very confident swimmer. However Conner made the entire experience extremely pleasant and once in the ocean, I felt comfortable. I really enjoyed surfing with Connor!

Conor is the zen of surfing instruction on the North Shore. Thanks to him, my kids and I all learned, with one-on-one lessons, to surf and be successful in the waves. His patience with us non-surfing Texans was awesome and he was so friendly, calm, chill and helpful all afternoon. It was my first time surfing, Conor was able to work with me in our private session to be able to successfully stand up and surf multiple waves! He went above and beyond, even helping bring me to catch more waves when I was getting tired. I would highly recommend him!

I’m so glad I found Conor’s private lesson over many others I almost booked. Conor was easy going, supportive, and focused on making sure I got the most out of my time in the water. He made things relaxing and fun. His mellow vibe makes him a great teacher and a great guy!

Amazing experience, it was my last day on the island when I took a surf lesson with Conor. Expectations exceeded, got to go out a little earlier then planned and had a blast. He was very instructive and clear, emphasized safety first which was great. This was definitely the highlight of my week, glad I got to go out with a bang on my last day :)

Conor did a wonderful job! Got to the site early in the morning, took a few minutes to explain the board to me since this was my first time out, and the into the water! We had the area to ourselves, and I really enjoyed it! After beginners luck Conor helped steady me when I was getting frustrated, and I ended with my best run of the day! Great experience, I hope to bring my family back to work with Conor next time!

our boys had their first lesson in surfing and what a great way to start off with Conor, who emphasized safety, but also made it fun for them. we had them do a shared lesson, so he took them out one at a time. I'd recommend a private lesson so you can get the entire 2 hours of surfing in the water. if we were staying in the north shore we would've considered one more lesson but at least now they know the basics and they can continue their lessons here at home.

Connor was a wonderful, patient teacher. We (both beginners) were both able to stand up and ride out multiple waves due to Connor’s coaching and encouragement. He was attentive to safety concerns and worked hard to maximize our time on the water. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to surf during their trip to Oahu!
