      Value for money
Located at Kewalo Harbour, this was a last minute decision to book this tour, and for $40 US which thought was value for money. We did need to pay for parking via an app. Captain was knowledgeable, crew very friendly. Free onboard water available and toilet. We did see a lot of fish as they throw fish food out to attract them to the surface. And very lucky we did get to see two turtles. Would recommend.

      Just a boat trip
We had wonderful captain and we enjoyed our time, but we didn’t see anything except black and grey fish. Choose snorkelling options for better experience

      Worth It!!!
We did the Friday fireworks sail and it was amazing! The two guys working on the boat were kind and made sure everyone was doing okay and comfortable during our ride. The views were fantastic and for this price, it was a great deal. The group on our boat was pretty small, about 10 people so there was plenty of seating available, however they mentioned that some rides can have up to 40 people. The only downside was that since we went the day after a big storm, it was hard to see anything through the glass bottom but the crew did a good job in explaining this to everyone ahead of time.

      Beautiful views!
Had such a great time! The views of the island were beautiful. We didn’t see a lot of sea life other than a sea turtle and some fish, but it didn’t matter. The ride itself, plus the amazing captains made it totally worth it! Definitely recommend!

      No wildlife viewing.
Didn’t see any wildlife-except when the crew threw a little food overboard a few tiny fish came up, They stopped the boat in the ‘turtle area’ but didn’t get close enough to see any. The bottom of the boat is not entirely glass- there are a few portals to look down in. So, it was just a quick boat ride with views of Waiki.

      Great view of Waikiki
Saw a whale and turtle from the side of the boat. The views of Waikiki from the boat were great. We didn’t see much fish through the glass bottom areas of the boat.

      BEWARE: Terrible Customer Service
Was running 4 minutes late. In the booking email it says “Please call 808-753-5156 if you are running late for your tour.” No one answered and I called about 10 times. When I complained about this an hour and a half after the tour, the lady on the phone was so sassy to me and said “How are we supposed to answer when we’re checking in guests?” Umm I dunno, then don’t put that number in the email then?? Or even better, don’t even instruct your guests to call if you’re running late. She basically told me it doesn’t matter if you call because they will leave without you anyway. I wish I recorded the call because after I explained how frustrating the whole situation was, she proceeded to mock me and say “Well even if I did feel bad for you…” blah blah blah. I understand policy, but this rude lady should not be working in the tourism or customer service industry. Never been treated this way by an establishment before which is disappointing. Born and raised in Hawaii, I’ve been on many boat cruises before. Almost every time there were a few guests running a couple minutes late and the crew would wait for them. I even brought cash to tip the crew, who knew they really don’t care about guest experiences anyway. I told my whole family about the experience and we will never be using this company again. Every time I have family visiting I will warn them to not use this company Honestly, there are way better and nicer boat tours out there.

Great views, not really a glass bottom experience though
Amazing views. I wouldn’t really consider it glass bottom as there were only little tiny portions to view, but the views of Honolulu and Waikiki were worth it. Our tour guides were amazing.

      Great ride on the ocean
The crew was fantastic-professional, personable, and concerned about passengers' safety. They were full of fun facts and we enjoyed the ride on the ship. We plan to return to Hawaii and will definitely be back with Hawaii Glass Bottom Boats!

      Not as expected
There were only four windows, the name “Glass Bottom” misleads you, thinking it’s a centered glass bottom where you can see the sea life, but it’s actually just four medium size windows and the tour guy never stopped for us to see any creatures. In the questionnaire, it asked what was the occasion, I put down celebrating a birthday, name & age, hoping it was to announce my son’s birthday, but nothing was announced. We didn’t get as close as he said we would to Diamond head. My hotel was the same distance as what he got to it.

It was an enjoyable experience on the ocean with awesome views and great weather. Not too much activity, but a fair view of fish and a few turtles swimming around which was really fun to see. No Dolphins came out to greet us which would have made my day! The 'glass bottom' though was just through box views which I didn't really bother looking through as preferred over the boat sides. But still an overall great boat ride. The tour guides (Jim/Kalama) were welcoming and provided informative history and fun facts about Hawai'i, pointing out some interesting building structures and distant ocean views. Unfortunately, my Mom who is prone to motion sickness did start to react early into the first half of the ride and had to sit in the shade with her eyes closed for the rest, even after having taken her gravol to prepare! We assumed the short 1 hour ride would be tolerable but I guess she's more sensitive than we thought, so I would just warn others that even this ride may cause some to have a reaction. It did have moments where it sped up, slowed and turned on a dime in order to catch some movement in the water, so I suspect that's what affected my Mom. Overall, I think it was a worthwhile ride for the cost! Mahalo! 🤙🏽

Great little cruise from Kewalo Basin Harbour (near Ala Moana Park/Ward centre). The boat left the harbour and cruised across towards Diamond Head. Very relaxing tour, saw dolphins, turtles and fish over the reef the hour passed very quickly - would recommend to all ages if you are interested in Marine life.
Bonus - saw a Whale with her calf!!
We used public transport to travel from Waikiki to Kewalo Harbour.

Giving a four (instead of a five) only because I was expecting a larger glass bottom viewing area instead of four wells approx. 2’ x 4’ each. Saw Humuhumu'ele'ele, sea turtles and whales. When a whale was spotted in the distance, the captain raced us over to the area to give us a better view.

Purchased tickets for the 3:30pm glass boat experience for 4 people through Expedia. We arrived at 3:29pm only to be told the boat has left. At no time during booking or after were we told the boat leaves early or that we need to be at the boat ahead of time. I got a text (while we were already on our way in an uber) at 3:22pm that the boat is leaving in 8 minutes, and I immediately responded our ETA was 3:29pm. We were there at 3:29pm, but were told the boat was gone. While Sabrina offered a refund and we accepted, the whole experience was a disappointment. We have wasted time and $50 on uber to get from our hotel to the boat and back. Out of all the lunch and dinner cruises we have been to in various places, all of them opened their doors at the scheduled time; not closed them. If this place is different, they need to make it clear ahead of time and not waste people’s time while they are trying to enjoy their vacation.

Very easy to book. Staff very friendly and professional. I was so happy to just be out on the water, that I didn’t even bother looking into the glass compartments. Saw amazing fish and turtles right from the sides and front of boat. Highly recommend this hour long trip on the water if you want just a quick little adventure. And at $40 it is a great price, even after converted to Canadian currency 😊

We were blessed to have 2 Captains aboard. They were both born on Oahu. They were very knowledgeable. The tour was very detailed and Captains made sure that everyone felt safe before we left. During the ride we saw sea turtles, several fish and a sunken ship. This was an extremely smooth ride that We would recommend for anyone.

The was a 90-minute boat trip along the southern coast of Oahu out to Diamondhead and then returning at sunset to the west end of the coast line. It was a fun, relaxing ride and the sunset was gorgeous! The captain was knowledgeable about the area and his wife took some fabulous pictures of our family for us. It was a relatively inexpensive way to get out on the water and see more of the island. They offer free water on board and do have a small bathroom. There are 4 sections of the boat that have a glass bottom so you can look under the water as you travel. It was a wonderful end to a day of sightseeing and my whole family loved it!

Although it was a glass bottom boat you didn’t see anything below the surface. The guide was really knowledgeable and took us to a week where we did see turtles and fish swimming. It was good fun, excellent sightseeing and the guide gave us loads of information about the coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour this morning. The owner, Jim and his team, Michael & Stokes, are to be commended for their helpful, friendly & professional attitudes. From the get go our experience with this company was amazing. Michael was very helpful with sorting out our parking dilemma when we first arrived & then once on board we were given a very informative commentary by Jim as we explored the beautiful coastline while Stokes ably assisted in general operations. All in all I would highly recommend this small family owned business.
