This fun little adventure has it all: scenic views, exotic plants, and refreshing mountain streams. The "Iki" starts off with a 7-mile off-road ride to the trail head and continues with a hike through unspoiled natural beauty rarely witnessed by Oʻahu visitors. Hikers will scale windswept ridges, forge freshwater streams, and trek through verdant tropical valleys. See wild bananas, guava, bamboo thickets, scented gingers, and other spectacular rainforest plants. Revel in Hawai'i's fascinating history, culture, and ancient mythology as shared by an expert Hawaiian guide. If that's not enough, how about a rejuvenating swim in a private mountain pool? End your hike with a light gourmet lunch and this experience will have you smiling all the way home. This is the best little trail on the island and the perfect way to experience Oʻahu.

A Different Way to See Aruba
EZRaider provide our group with a new and unique way to see the North Coast and Country Side. We were a group of 10 senior citizens, 74 years and above and found riding the EZRaider to be easy and fun. Because they only have 6 machines, we were also provided with a jeep which allowed all to participate by switching riders from time. Carlos provide valuable information on the sites we visited. It is always fun to see other tourists staring and waving at you because it is a different form of transportation.

      Hiking experience
We did the big adventure hike with Ryan during our trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this hike! If you aren’t a big hiker, Ryan made it very easy to complete the hike. We learned so much during this experience.

      Amazing ATV Tour Experience!
Our recent ATV tour was the highlight of our trip to the island. It wasn’t just about the thrill of driving; our guide, Keyoki, enriched the experience by sharing fascinating insights into the island’s history, culture, and even the art of hula. The off-road adventure through stunning natural landscapes was exhilarating, and my family had an absolute blast. Keyoki is hands down the best tour guide we’ve ever had. He made the tour fun, engaging, and comfortable for everyone. The service was exceptional and truly worth every penny—it felt like a bargain for the quality we received. This tour will undoubtedly be a cherished memory for our kids. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

      Awesome Experience
The Huaka'I Nui tour was amazing. This was the best part of my vacation on the north shore of Oahu! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like I got a crash course in Hawaiian culture, history, and ecology. The scenery was spectacular and the hike was really fun. Don't miss this one! Donna

An authentic tour through the Hawaiian countryside
Our tour guide provided us with a memorable tour of the beauty of Oahu. The attention to detail and every aspect of our experience was incredible and made us feel like true Ohana. The tour was fun, exhilarating and above all authentic as we learned about the island's history and culture. I would definitely schedule another tour with them and look forward to my next adventure.

Best tour ever - exceeded all expectations
We took the Haukai Iki Big Aventure and it was AMAZING! Tours never exceed my expectations but this one did. We booked through Disney Excursions since we stayed wt Aulani but please don’t do this. Book directly through the tour site if you can, you get accurate information and direct contact. Ryan was the best tour guide, he is an expert in Eco tourism and has a very interesting career here on the island, protecting the land/marine life. The tour is challenging and requires effort on varied terrain like rocks, mud, roots and branches, rock filled waterways, steep elevations. Find grippy hiking shoes that can get wet, that will make your life easier. Shorts are allowed but I’m glad we had long pants due to branches, rocks and a mosquito or two. Expect to get wet and muddy. Pack light. Listen to the guide. Have fun! We’ll definitely be back.

      Amazing Adventure, Views, and Memories!
I could write a book about this tour and not give it enough credit. This was an amazing tour like our family has never had before. We have been on many excursions, and this one gave all our family members memories for a lifetime. Keoki was our guide, and he was more like family than a tour guide. As a local born in Hawaii, his passion for his homeland shines through in genuine moments where he explains so much about the history of the land, how it was affected by so many important events over the years, and how it is still being impacted by businesses, the government, and the military. He was very thorough and caring about safety, operating the ATVs properly, and still having fun riding through the trails, mud, hills, and roads. Each ATV has a radio and the guide is giving you instructions the whole way. You definitely want to wear clothes that can get dirty, and take a bandana to help keep the dust out of your mouth and nose! Also, it rains often in Hawaii, so take a light rain jacket or poncho. It's the real deal, with phenomenal views and photo opportunities. Everybody old enough in our party got a chance to drive. For someone who does a lot of off-roading, it may not be super challenging, but I wouldn't call it a beginner ride. For beginners, it's awesome, because the trail helps build your confidence in stages so you get the opportunity to experience some cool terrain as you go farther along. And the whole thing is in Hawaii -- what an experience! Mahalo to Keoki and North Shore Eco Tours for offering this awesome adventure, and taking on our party of 9 from Tennessee! I can't imagine going to Hawaii and not doing this tour. If you are wondering which of the few ATV tours to do in Hawaii, for the best, most authentic off-road experience, North Shore Eco Tours should be your choice.

Make This Your Priority Adventure on Oahu!
North Shore Eco Tours offered us the ideal balance of adventure and authentic education about Hawaii. We enjoyed our you so much we came back a few weeks later. Unique terrain, diverse landscapes, gorgeous views. The trek introduces you to rich culture, bold terrain and frankly the BEST guides among an island filled with already-great tour leads. Keoki spent 7 hours with us over two tours on our trip. He’s filled with passion and knowledge about the land, history and each unique adventure. We were able to meet Noah who has such a knowledge of history you learn new things about the culture and the honor you should have for the environment. North Shore Eco Tours gives you freedom to responsibly explore and push your adventure where other tours can’t. This was not just a tour you get quite the rush as you are able to have fun with the trail. The terrain has epic views and dynamic challenges. UTV equipment was in excellent performance condition, and this family-owned business makes you feel cared for from start to finish. Out of over a dozen excursions we did on our trip, this was so memorable, fun and unique we chose to do it twice! You will leave the adventure discussing how soon you will want to return!

      Fun, Adrenaline and Dust
This was a great day that topped off our trip to Hawaii perfectly. From start to finish our experience was 5 star. We were picked up at our accommodation in Waikiki which made life so much easier. We were originally thinking of catching the bus. Our trip to the North Shore was entertaining, fun and informative. We got to see the turtles, sample macadamias and coffee and look around the town at our leisure. Then we started the tour. It was just the two of us and our guides. A big day, with information, fun, adrenaline and mud. Then Keoki drove us back to our accommodation. A full day that will be talked about for a long time to come.

      Educational, beautiful and wild
My husband and I didn't know what to expect on this tour. We knew it would be bumpy, very possibly dirty and we would get to see unique parts of the north shore but it was so much more than that! It was very bumpy, wild even in some areas and sometimes we felt we were on a jungle trek literally hanging on so as not to be thrown around! Ryan our guide was diversely educated and very knowledgeable in many areas, all the while making sure we were comfortable with the adventure ( he made sure we were not falling out of the truck) kidding aside, we had a great time, this experience was so unique, educational on so many levels (really embarrased we didn't know our fruit trees) and so beautiful! We loved experiencing this fertile, special and untouched place!

Beautiful private hike with great views
We did a hike with eco tours. It was an amazing experience! Ryan was a great guide and very knowledgeable. He helped guide us through the terrain and taught us about Hawaiian history, plants, and animals. It was awesome to learn about the conservation efforts of this organization. We were also the only ones out on the trail, as it’s private property, which was a huge bonus in busy Oahu! If we ever come back to the island we will definitely be back here. Thanks Ryan!

Did this mountain trail hike with my three teenagers and my husband. Even though it says “Little hike” it was a challenging 2 1/2 mile trail though beautiful Hawaiian flora. Our guide Ryan was perfect. He made the hike fun and I felt very at ease with him leading the group. It was an awesome experience of nature run by a business whose whole point is to preserve and protect the integrity of the area. Would recommend for families with older children who are looking to connect with the natural beauty of Hawaii!

Outstanding 4 hour hike! The description is accurate - rugged, heights, ensure you're physically able to navigate interesting terrain. Our Guide Ryan was so helpful, fun and educational. He had intricate knowledge of every inch of the trail, catered to the varying ability levels and was passionate about conservation and Hawaiian history. Highly recommend this as one of the first things you do in Oahu because you'll have so much more knowledge about the island to adjust rest of your trip. The lunch they pack you was yummy as well, yummy spring rolls!

The Huakai Iki hike was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Ryan, our guide, was so generous in sharing his knowledge of this special area. He was very attentive to safety and making sure that we had an enjoyable time. The lunch was excellent, plenty of water was provided and the view at the summit was beautiful. We even had an opportunity to swim! My only regret was that I didn't tip Ryan enough!

We did the 3 mile hike, and couldn’t be happier with it! Our guide was so friendly, and he gave us so many facts about the history of the island, and the history of the land we were hiking on. He made lots of stops for us to try the fruits and tell us about all the native and non native species there. Not only was it a beautiful hike, with a gorgeous swimming spot at the end. But learning along the way was the cherry on top!

What a super fun day with Keola! It was so fun to get into nature and hike on privately owned land with such rich history. Beautiful scenery, great knowledge of history and a vigorous hike including lunch made for a memorable day. Many thanks for a great way to end 2020. I highly recommend! We traveled with 2 adult children, one who loves outdoor adventures and the other not so much but we all did great. We did wear legit hiking shoes though. Adored our day, thanks so much!🤙🏻

I love the scenic views and the fact that we were off the beaten path. It wasn’t a paved highway created for hiking, it truly was just God’s creations. Our tour guide Ryan was amazing, very perceptive of the group’s needs, and very knowledgeable. I loved learning all of the things he knew about the nature and the history of Oahu.

Not only was I solo on this back country hike on Oahu, I had a great hiking experience as the only customer hiking with the two Polynesian brothers who lead the hiking tours and the two new training leaders who were hiking this trail for the first time! Normally they would have cancelled because of their 2 hiker minimum but they went ahead so the new training leaders could take the hike. Great experience wading across streams and learning about the natural history and native, Polynesian, and invasive plant life in Hawaii, and the language and culture of the Polynesian peoples. It was the second day of my first trip to Hawaii and it really put me right in the middle of it all.
