This tour was so much fun! My husband and I went twice. The first time there was only one shark and the company was amazing. They told us since we did not get to see many sharks that they would either refund us the money or let us reschedule. By the time we were back to our car we already had a missed call and voicemail from the office offering the refund or reschedule. We decided to reschedule and I am so glad we did! We swam with quite a few sharks but our guides made me feel very safe.
Our guides Braxton, Becs, Ma'Koa, and ha'a were all so friendly. They were so easy to talk to and were so good at making the nervous people comfortable and making sure they felt safe in the water.
They don't let you bring electronics in the water for the benefit of the sharks. That was fine with me because they took great pictures and loads of them. The pictures come free with the tour which I loved because most companies charge an arm and a leg to get your photos.
They do air drop to iphones, but we had android so they emailed and texted the pictures to us. Again this wasn't a problem because we got the link before we were even off the boat.

Great communication from the crew and excellent service! Don’t wait to book last minute! We waited till the night before and drove out to North Shore early enough to eat breakfast using a Turo rental. While eating the tour called us and said the booking was allowed by accident and they were fully booked and apologized profusely. The conditions ended up working out to where they could do an additional late afternoon trip so we spent time in North Shore exploring before the trip instead of after. Their team communicated with me throughout the day updating me on the weather and time of our trip. During the trip the crew was very enjoyable, cracked some jokes with us, informed us of the sharks we may encounter and were able to answer all our questions. The swim was a little chilly but overall not bad! If you get cold easily you may want to rent a thin wet suit to make it a little more comfortable. We saw lots of sharks and the crew got lots of great photos! I highly recommend this trip!

This was an excellent experience that I would likely do again.
I did the cage diving a year ago and wanted to do this experience cage free.
I felt very safe and relaxed.
The fellas were knowledgeable, chill and patient in their help with swimming and answering of everyone's legit questions.
We had several Galapagos and Sandbar Sharks swim around our group. Having a smaller boat kept our group to about 14, which was better than swimming with a large group of varying degrees of snorkeling experience.
I plan to be scuba certified early next year and Sam took several minutes to speak with me about what would be the best starter gear and where to likely find it.
Would definitely recommend this experience!

Our family of 5 had the opportunity to spend Christmas morning with Island View Hawaii. We were a little worried about the weather, but the crew communicated very well with us, and made sure to make us feel safe the whole time we were on the water. Although we were all very anxious at first, the crew did a great job at calming us down and making us feel comfortable. Once we were in the water, it was unlike anything we have ever experienced!! There were sharks all around us, up to 15 at a time, and they were not afraid to come up close to us. There is no words to describe how cool this is! At the end of our very fun filled vacation, we all unanimously voted that this was our absolute favorite part of the whole 10 day vacation. I can't recommend this experience enough!! Mahalo, Island View Hawaii!!

We went and were totally blown away. My husband and his friend are avid divers, have swam with sharks on their own when they used to spearfish, and they were even wowed. I am definitely not a fan of sharks or deep water but our guides made me feel very at ease in the water. They have such a respect for the ocean and the life in it and wanted us to appreciate it as well. Well done! Definitely book with them, the original company. You can’t take yo ur phone or anything in the water but the beautiful photos are from them. They take the shots so you can just enjoy and then they give them all to you for free.

I booked this tour online and I'm so glad I did! We had the best morning with these guys! We were greeted in the harbour by 3 crew, the captain, photographer and our guide in the water. We were provided with all the information we would need to know and I was immediately at ease.
It took only a few minutes for our group of 6 to travel offshore to the area where we would swim. It was easy getting into the water, which was fairly calm when we went. Within minutes, we were approached by sandbar and Galapagos sharks. And by approached I mean they slowly swam towards us but kept their distance. They were close enough to see but everyone felt safe. It was actually a very peaceful experience! Our guide Kyle was great! He made sure we were safe at all times and he was able to distinguish between the types of sharks. I highly recommend booking with this company! No need to swim in a cage!

This was amazing. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Please ignore the other review that someone else wrote about the owners. First of all, she didn’t even go on a tour with this company and second, she booked with a third party vendor, so her real issue should be with the third party vendor, not this company.
Our tour was amazing. It was just my husband and I, and the owner of the company, his brother and his cousin, so it is a true family business. The owner stayed on the boat and the other two came into the water with us, one as the safety diver and the other as the photographer.
Some other reviews mentioned being upset they couldn’t take their own cameras. This is a good thing and is for your own safety. They want you to be focused on the experience and pay attention to them and the sharks, and not be distracted by your camera. I am personally thankful for this, because it allowed me to be fully present when the giant tiger shark swam by us several times!!! She was amazing and beautiful but man she had a lot of teeth and stayed very very close for a long time - yikes! It was scary and amazing all at the same time. The guys on the tour were awesome - they kept me calm and worked with us and I really felt good having them around us and guiding us. They were so calm and patient! I would recommend this tour 1000%! We also saw Galapagos and sandbar sharks, but that giant tiger shark stole the show. The Galapagos sharks stayed by us almost the whole time, but stayed below us and swam a comfortable distance away. It was amazing to just float there and watch them in their natural environment. Very peaceful and beautiful.
The photographer diver got amazing photos and they were included in our tour price. I don’t know if that is how it always is, but I was appreciative that he took the photos and I could just focus on not getting eaten (just kidding, kind of). Did I mention how big that tiger shark was?!? A week later, I am still in awe of her and how close she got to us and how gracefully she glided thru the water. I realize now she was just curious and wanted to check us out. Overall, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Thank you, Island View!!

My husband was booked to go out with Island View Hawaii. Although I love the Islands and the Ocean I have never gone in and thought I would stay that way having a fear not of sharks but the power of the water. I went on the boat as a rider and by the time we got to our spot I was geared up and away I went. I felt panicked for a moment but then with the most gentle and encouraging quide we began to breathe together, the whole crew made sure I was comfortable, safe and calm and it was by far the most epic adventure of my 45yrs on this earth. We picked Island View because of our love of the planet and conservation and respect for the ocean. I have followed their social media for years and knew we would be safe but also that they respect these beautiful creatures. Thank you Island View and crew for an epic adventure.

I saw sharks and tiger sharks, this guided tour gave me an unforgettable experience!I was shocked the moment I saw the sharks, they looked very majestic, but they are also a bit shy.
The tour guide is very serious and patient, The tour guide knew that I was from another country, he was very patient and explained the whole travel process and precautions to me. This will definitely bring you an unforgettable experience, I will recommend my friends to join this tour.

Awesome crew, Captain Sam was great. Staff made sure everyone was safe and took care of the ones who needed help. Would highly recommend! If you’re staying near Haleiwa, ask Sam for a sunset cruise, his team took us out after hours and it was a blast!

It's two different companies, but pretty much the same tour. This one is supposedly the original one, and according to my guidebook the other one is more likely to cancel when the weather is poor.
