      Great experience with Dive Oahu!
Dove with Jackson, Nacho (captain) and (forgot your name, sorry) this morning! Dolphins, green sea turtles, white tip reef sharks, surgeon fish, and a wreck were all on the viewing menu, set amongst a rich navy blue ocean. The wreck is a very good dive. Set on the seabed at around 113 feet it arises from a sand bed to create a great coral reef. The coral here coats the top of the boat --- quite surprising to see considering the wreck has only been underwater for 20+ years. Dive Oahu's boat is spacious with a lot of amenities (drinks, snacks, warm water showers, Stream2Sea mask defog and hair conditioners). The caption (Nacho) gives thorough safety briefings and the dive masters (Jackson) also give great dive briefings and are great leaders underwater. And for those who want to dive with the best, the rental equipment is top-of-the-line: ScubaPro's Hydros Pro BCD. My business partner and I own a dive shop (we're in the industry) and we were both blown away by everything we saw and experienced. I truly thought Oahu would have nothing much to see, but I was wrong! For those who want to snorkel/dive when you visit Oahu, I highly encourage you choose Dive Oahu: you get great dive sites, great staff, a great boat with amenities, and the best equipment in the industry! You can't ask for anything more!

      Phenomenal Experience
You couldn't ask for a better instructor than Jeff. The rest of the crew Ami, Jeff, Matt and Adam were also great! My wife and I are now certified divers. If you are not diving with these guys, you are missing out.

      STRESS RELIEF
Ame, Nacho and Heather are the best!!! One too many unfortunate incidents with jellyfish kept me from getting my license a decade ago and made me crazy anxious about getting in the water. Ame was very understanding and extremely patient! I did not panic or feel anxious at all. :)

      Fantastic Birthday Dive
We went out with Dive Oahu as club members for Jenn’s birthday dive. The crew, Nacho and Heather, were fantastic with communication and processes. We felt safe doing two deep dives at Sea Tiger and Deep Pipe, getting to see sharks, eels, and lots of turtles. It was a ton of fun with everyone!

      Amazing dive crew!
From the time my wife and I stepped for in the dive shop we were well taken care of. Dan was absolutely amazing when helping book our dives. We told him what days we wanted to dive, he provided us with some options that were available. He even called the boat captain (Nacho) to ask for some additionally advice in which days to go diving and which dives would be best. We ended up doing two, two tank dives on the same day because weather was an issue on the later date, one being a night dive. They also have motion sickness pills for sale if that is a problem for you and you forgot yours. On the day of the dives we showed up and ask the dive great was included, the boat crew was amazing (Adam was the captain, Nacho took us down for our dive, and another instructor [Julio] had a student) all three were amazing and great to dive with. Nacho progress a great boat safety talk and an excellent dive brief on the site. The dive had amazing visibility and a ton of sea life. The first five was at shallow pipe, and the second was at cell block c. Actually saw a monk seal on the second dive. overall we were happy with the dives but we're roughly 45 min dives. Between dives snacks were provided, water and shad as well. They had separate buckets to clean if your mask, camera, drive suit, and other great as needed. They also have their own mask defog that worked well, just spray it in the mask and go, didn't rinse it off safe for your eyes and the reef. Got back to the shop for a quick swap of tanks and people. Within 10-15 minutes we were back out on the boat ready to go. My wife and I were asked if we wanted to stay shallow or do a wreck dive since we had already five shallow for the day (we are both professional divers) and made the decision that we would dive deeper and watch our deco more closely. Adam was done for the day and Scott came on board as our guide and Nacho took over as the boat captain. Again a great team the entire trip. Scott provided an amazing dive brief of the dive and what would must likely be in the water and where it would be at. We were provided with dive lights for this dive as well if needed. The first dive was at the sea tiger ship wreck at around 100' depth during dusk so still fairly light it. Saw a handful of white tip red sharks on the sea floor resting, a turtle laying on top of the ship and a ton of sea life more than usual for the area. Spent about 22 mins on the dive total, with a 2 min safety stop at 60' and the usual 3 min at 15 feet. On the way up we saw a huge jellyfish, and while watching that, I was almost taken out from behind by a second turtle that came to check us out. The last dive was after the sun went down and so amazing. We stuck to the dive plan that Scott briefed and saw so many eels and shrimp. We lucked out and saw a few lobster, and a couple of Spanish dancer nudibranch. This sure was called deep pipe. Overall it was a great day of diving. Couldn't ask for anything better!

Heather and Omni were Dive guides that made the trip Great. Professional and fun… make you feel safe in addition to great vibe just by the first greeting at the boat and how business is done. Explained dive site info and did not disappoint, saw loads of fish, large crab and an Otcopus! R, Jeff

      Amazing Dive and Crew
I had the opportunity to join Nacho and Scott on a night dive and they sure delivered! The dive itself was amazing and I’ll start there. Two dives - one at twilight and one after sunset - to a wreck and a coral forest near Waikiki. They can’t control the marine life, but we lucked out seeing giant turtles, sharks, eel, lobsters, nudi branch, and of course tons of fish. Now to specifics, they were prompt, leaving just after 5:30 and returning by 8:30. The equipment is top notch and they did a great job setting it up. Snacks and drinks on board were appreciated. They themselves are obviously very experienced and were true professionals. I would definitely recommend them and hope to visit again next time I’m in Waikiki!

One of the coolest things I’ve ever done
the experience with dive Oahu yesterday was incredible. The crew Adam, Colton, and Alexi were super awesome in getting us confident and comfortable with the equipment and working with us on how to operate in the water. Once we passed the skills test we dove down and were able to see an abundance of colorful fish, turtles and coral. Highly recommend!

      Turtles, Dolphins and Beautiful Reefs
Heather, Nacho and Ami were amazing guides! We had an awesome group diving together. We dove both Turtle Canyon and Nautilus reefs. We saw giant Honu (sea turtles) and eels. While on the boat ride to the second dive we saw a pod of dolphins. This was an experience I will never forget. Thanks, guys! Mahalo!

This review is in regards to a wreck and reef dive tour and the turtle canyon snorkel tour. My partner and I are basic open water scuba certified.

The crew was out of this world! Captain Lindsey was really energizing on our morning dive tour, and Chris was very knowledgeable on both our tours. Augie, our captain on our afternoon turtle canyon tour, was also absolutely amazing. I am so glad we got him on our second tour. He really made that trip worth it!

The dive tour overall was so incredible. The first dive was ok. We saw tons of fish and water was clear. The second dive was my favorite experience in Hawaii. The Navy tug was fascinating! White tip reef sharks, eagle rays, octopus, and eels make the tug their home. I’m so glad I got to see so much sea life. The water was so clear that pictures would come out beautifuly (if I had remembered my camera 🫠). There were snacks and drinks provided which was really nice if you needed something small. I do wish they had ginger ale or ginger candies available as my partner got a little seasick on the way home.

As for the snorkel dive it was a little underwhelming. Due to the previous tour having a lot of beginning divers, we departed almost 50 minutes late. The wait was a bit frustrating, especially after getting there thirty minutes before. The runoff from the storm the night before made it hard to see fish a foot in front of you. We did see turtles when they came to the surface, but no pictures worth sharing. I was really disappointed. HOWEVER, Chris and Aubie made it worth it. They said the visibility wouldn’t really improve due to the storm, but instead offered to take us on a little boat ride to get a good view of diamond head, and try seeing more surfaced turtles away from the other tours. They gave us a great view of the city and mountains, and we did get to spot some more sea life from the top deck. I was just disappointed to not see the reefs, fish, and turtles in ways I had hoped.

Dive Oahu cannot control the weather and visibility but they are very knowledgeable and flexible, and were able to give us great tours nonetheless! When we come back I will be giving them a call for more dives and tours. Just maybe make sure to check the weather and visibility before you depart

First and fore most I did not dive with them. I have dives all over the world and over 400 with the many charters in Florida and the keys. I was with another dive shop when the dive Oahu boat showed up. (Pinnacles and navy tug) they unloaded close to 30 divers that came down to depth and began kicking up sand and everything along the reef and bottom. Vis was great before they got there, after not so much. Moved on to the navy tug and this is where it got un safe. They arrived at the tug after us and they raced to get everyone in. My friends and I were still doing our surface interval which I’m guessing they ignored (safety issue 1). We got in and we’re taking in the sea life when their mooring line drops in front of me. I look up and yep it snapped, not a big deal I understand that happens. My issue now was with the captain and dive staff(safety issue 2-4): the captain was throttling non stop over head at full speed white washing the surface. The dive staff that did notice did not make an attempt to bring the mooring line back up and secure the boat. Then another dive Oahu guide, who hadn’t been paying attention, surfaced to my boat with his group and lost on where his charter had gone…jumping out of a plane is safer then diving with them

Very disappointed in Dive Oahu and Dive Master Dan’s Pinnacles Dive for July 2, 2022. We paid almost $1000 to get Nitrox certified and we’re promised a dedicated dive master for our dive. Instead we were a group of 5 and half the divers had Nitrox and 2 others did not. It was the fastest dive I’ve ever experienced. Descending to 108 feet and then maintaining 85 feet for 15 minutes. Dan signaled shelf at the group so we approached the shelf and began exploring. 2 minutes later he had us all turn around. When I signaled half tank (1500 psi) Dan immediately turned around again and took us back to the boat. 18 minutes with our safety stop which was completely unnecessary. Each of us had 1000 psi when we returned. On the second dive we weren’t offered Nitrox but normal air. I’ll expect some consideration from dive Oahu and if we can’t negotiate then I’m disputing this charge.

Nobody likes an ugly review. We did not Promise or get paid to have a private guide. Yes they PADI nitrox course was done. And the explanation and recording of a nitrox tank was done. The Dive site in question was called ewa Pinnacles and if you lay down on the bottom and put your back in the sand your computer will only go to 88 feet. So I’m not sure where the 20 extra feet came in. The thousand dollars was actually 857 and change…. We all know Padi takes a big chunk of any electronic course that is given. As far as nitrox it’s $14 a bottle and we never charged anything for the bottle that was used. Nor the second one that was asked for after the fact. According to the guide you were at 1200 pounds when you got to the area to come up. Please keep in mind your group size was five people that’s one of the lowest group sizes in the industry when you guys started coming up at 25 minutes. He also did a three minute safety stop within those minutes. The safety of our customers is the upmost. We are definitely sorry we offended you by bringing you up with an extra couple pounds of air in your tank but it’s the safety of the group that matters. How would you felt if three people in the group was sent out without an instructor so two people total could stay on the bottom with no supervision. It’s just not what we do. As far as refunds and negativities this probably should’ve been addressed in a different platform other than social media. Pretty sure I personally emailed you before you wrote this and ask you how your dive was. (All customers get an automatic email from me after they’re dive) And at the end of the day how much air did you wanna come up with if you had 1000 pounds at 88 feet. I would side on safety. Have a blessed day and hopefully get to do some more diving with you….. thanks Brian 808-330-3790 cell

The wreck dive was amazing, that was a pretty large ship. Lots of sea turtles on the shallower dive, and the dive master was pretty good at spotting smaller animals. I will also never forget the whistles of the whales we heard when we got in above the wreck!

I am a newly certified diver and previously did the 2 thank shallow reef dive a couple of months ago. Most recently, we jumped on for the wreck and reef dive. Both trips were on Anger Management with Capt Jerry who is outstanding, personable, and really sets the tone for an enjoyable experience.

The dive masters Matt (for the 2 reef dive earlier) and Nick (for the wreck and reef dive) were awesome and really made for safe and enjoyable dives. Great experience.

Highly recommend Dive Oahu. You will. Not be disappointed.

The good: friendly divemasters and boat captain, great boat! (I went out on a Newton 46’), small groups (two groups of 6 that day), enough room for everyone on the boat.
    The suggestions for improvement:
    1. The rental equipment. Hawaiian waters are warm, but not that warm. They only had 2.5mm shorties for wet suits and bootless fins. Suggest to have 3mm and 5mm wetsuits available, and hood, also for those of us that get cold easily.
    2. Dive master knowledge of nitrox limits. Not sure how this happened, but my nitrox tank was set up for the deep dive. The training makes very clear that there are depth limits with nitrox, and the first deep dive was approx to that limit. The guy was even confused when I went to switch the tank. I laughed when he asked me about it because I thought he was being sarcastic but I don’t think that’s the case. Good thing I check everything, that’s just a safety issue.
    3. The experience level should be separated between new vs experienced divers. One inexperienced diver in our group sucked up his air quickly and we had to go up after only 15 minutes. Shortest dive ever!
There was decent, not great, scenery. So at $255 for a two tank dive, one nitrox tank, tax and tip it’s not great value compared to the Caribbean.

Nitrox..... the only mix we use is 32% company wide Max depth 121. which is deeper then any site we go to. we did this to make it idiot proof. Your dive and most dives we go to 100' ( sea tiger 120' at the bow in the sand but 99% time we keep you at the deck 100') while most of guides are instructors that teach nitrox, we have a few Dive masters that might not know the answer. but they have been educated......

the best dive company ANYWHERE . I've been diving all over the world and never before saw better organization, boat size/quality, gear quality (integrated octo/air/weights/computer), amazing staff, amazing snacks, amazing tank holders that allow you to tilt the tank forward to secure strap in back effortlessly).... It was basically an experience of 100 "little things" done correctly, no need to shop around, this is the real deal.

I booked 4 days of diving (2 tanks each day) with Dive Oahu. Their customer service was excellent from booking on. Their dive boat "Stress Relief" is a state of the art Newton 46 with a lot of room. On board they had all the safety equipment (AED, O2, First aid kit etc) as well as a cooler with free bottled water, sodas and snacks. The crew were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They complete safety briefings before the trip and each dive master briefed the dive site. I have been diving all over the world with many dive operators and I truly believe Dive Oahu is one of the best I've ever gone with. I highly recommend them. When I go back to Oahu, this will be the company I dive with!

Dive Oahu is organized professional and always with safety in mind. I was loaned a camera to use while diving with Owner Brian B. We did 4 dives in 2 days. The equipment that was loaned was top shelf Scuba Pro valued in 1000’s of dollars I’ve been diving since 1981, nearly 4000 dives and this Dive Oahu ranks all the stars. Nacho, Austin, Carlton, were excellent as well as other dive guides that I’m not recalling names we saw turtles, sharks, wrecks and a wrecked airplane. I’m going to return.

Booked a private charter with dive Oahu. Three new divers straight off of our certification dives, and all with new gears that had only ever been in the pool for all of 10 minutes. We want to take it slow with the new gear and environment, having last dive 6 months ago in entirely different conditions, but the owner and boat captain repeatedly pressure us to go for a deep wreck dive. With new gear and new divers on a PRIVATE charter this is unacceptable. We wanted to go shallow, and they made fun of us for being scared. That isn't safe diving. I'd avoid this operator.
