Great group, highly recommend. Jayden was our main instructor and he was awesome. Everyone was great and super supportive and helpful.

Teaching was great and very encouraging! If you want to do it- do it. Don’t care how old you are. I am 52, another person was 63 and another was 72! We all got up and had a blast!

We had the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream of riding the wild surf in Hawaii this fall. With the help of the outstanding staff of the Ohana Surf school we were shooting the curl in no time. Such a fun experience yesterday! My son had the best birthday! My husband and son loved their instructor Miguel and everybody that helped us was incredible!!

My daughter and I signed up for a group lesson which became a private lesson when no one else showed (lucky us!). The instructor (Kevin?) was great, patient and so helpful. In no time we were up on the boards. I highly recommend Ohana Surf Project to anyone looking to learn how to surf or just test it out like we did.

Absolutely the best surfing group on Oahu! We did a family session with Cole and despite it being the first time for 2 of us he had as not only feeling confident on getting up and riding the waves but also improving our emerging skills. Incredible!

My 9 year old daughter loves to surf when we come to Hawaii during the summer. I never thought of her taking a lesson when we were at Waikiki - but we signed her up for a private lesson and she loved it - so signed her up for a lesson the next day too (Elle was her instructor and great!) Professional, experienced and great photos! I felt comfortable with my daughter out in the water with the staff!

We are an active family of 4 with a tween and teen. We selected the family package with a family member under 12 years old. The entire crew was supportive, safety oriented, and helpful. We were comfortable and felt safe with Cole, Jupiter, and then rest of the crew. Since we were a party of 4 and had two terrific instructors, we barely waited before it was our turn to try and catch another wave. The crew kept us in a steady pattern launching two of us, while the other two swam back out and briefly waited. We also got positive, helpful feedback from our instructors and the rest of the crew. Everyone in our family got up and rode a wave multiple times thanks to the instructors setting us up and the crew giving us reminders. Mahalo! Our family was with a larger group of 6-7 people who worked with other instructors. It all worked out fine. We had such a great area of the beach that wasn’t crowded, so it worked well. Improvements: The website was a bit confusing and I’m still unsure if I paid the correct amount since we had a tween that met the family retirements and then had to add on two additional family members. Instead of having odd signups, the website should use the ages provided and make the calculations. Pro tip: sunscreen the back of your legs, your glutes, and your lower back. Then do it again to be safe. We weren’t as thorough as we should have been and got a bit pink. Still worth it.

This was an absolute blast. I've never surfed before, so I booked a private lesson. I appreciated the one-on-one instruction while with others who were taking group lessons. It meant I got some tips and guidance from other instructors too, and I loved that they took photographs which I was able to buy afterwards.

This is definitely the highlight of our family trip in Oahu. If you’re a first timer and never thought you could ever stand on surfboard, this is a must experience. Thank you Ohana project for the very meaningful experience. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Great experience with my 12 year old who wanted the opportunity to surf while in Oahu. Friendly, well organized instructors, easy logistics. My daughter loved it.

This is the most organized surfing class I’ve ever seen. They show you a video explaining everything. They then do a warm up with you and teach you technique out of the water. They then have a great system of getting you surfing the waves. It was easy getting up on the boards with their techniques. We had a great morning. Our kids will never forget surfing in Waikiki.

This surfing experience was amazing! Cole and Ariel were so great with our family. We all caught so many waves and had a blast. We were able to borrow rash guards and water shoes for free. The location was super close to our hotel and their Surf Bus was super cute!
