About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- markhU764YP0 contributionsDay trip to Honolulu!Took a day trip from Maui to Oahu and spent a great afternoon with Alex touring the neighborhoods on our way to our hike to Manua Falls. His 40+ years in Hawaii were shared along the way while pointing out all the history and nature. The hike to the falls was relatively easy and beautiful. He captured all of the journey and then shared his photos. We had some awesome Miso salmon at a local food joint which was so good. The e-bike was very easy to ride, and I highly recommend a tour with Alex..Written February 7, 2025
- johndO3727TA0 contributionsOutstanding, informative and easy bike rideOur guide was Kelly... Very informative and interesting different view of Honolulu. We were the only ones on the tour so it was "private". Very easy riding with lots of stops for narrative and pictures. Kelly knew many of the locals, including the birds 😊 Bikes were in excellent condition and came with water and snacks. Highly recommend!Written January 16, 2025
- C6570ZHrobertm0 contributionsAmazing Food - fun way to get around. Definitely would recommend it.What a fun tour! You know you hit some great food spots when you can’t wait to get back to some of the places you hit. And we did! I personally don’t love seafood, but we were introduced to some amazing food - fish tacos, out of this world salmon (I know, salmon?? Yeah, it was amazing), ahi steaks, and poke. So much amazing food!Written December 14, 2024
- benjaminh8840 contributionsGreat historical bike tour-don't miss out on this opportunity!!Kelly was a wealth of knowledge and a terrific tour guide. I had seen the Supreme Court building on both editions of Hawaii Five-0 and always wanted to see that building. The capital building was different, as it does not have a dome. We saw China Town and many other historic places during this interesting and relatively flat tour. Make sure you take this tour with Kelly-it's a once in a lifetime chance to learn much about the area. Good luck and have fun!!Written December 4, 2024
- 333oksanaw0 contributionsGreat experience!Fantastic time with the most knowledgable and amazing guide!! I went by myself in hopes to experience Honolulu from a local, “boots on the ground” perspective and so happy I did!! It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! Highly recommend!!Written November 21, 2024
- katiemP884EM0 contributionsAloha 🌺We’ve lived in Oahu for a year and weren’t quite sure what to expect on a foodie bike tour in Waikiki, but boy were we happily surprised! We went to places we had never been despite driving by them many times, and were blown away by a fresh perspective from our guide and visiting the area on bike! We’ve already been back to a couple of the places on our tour! Great experience that gets you outside the Waikiki strip but is still super convenient! Highly recommend!Written November 19, 2024
- Departure5713940 contributionsWorth the money.Informative ride in a spectacular place. Well planned. Kelly was fun and knowledgeable. Rode through a few pineapple showers and a small rain.Written November 14, 2024
- jt18420 contributionsA mixed bagThis tour was a mixed bag for me. The food selections were tasty and the set up was well executed... bikes and helmets in good condition, safe biking awareness and paths, and a clever system in place to hear Kelly talk while we biked. I would have preferred he talk more about the history of Hawaii and its food and less about his business, personal interests, and opinions/jokes, many of which made me deeply uncomfortable and upset. For this reason, I could not recommend this tour to friends who were also visiting the area.Written October 15, 2024
- mackp20180 contributionsBike to Special FoodThe Hawaiian Foodie Tour with Bike Tour Hawaii was a perfect experience enjoying food that we would never have found on our own. The variety of taste treats and pace of the bike ride was perfect. Kelley, our guide, was professional and hosted a great tour with just the right amount of local flare. We highly recommend Bike Tour Hawaii and look forward to trying their other tours on our next visit. Mahalo!Written October 5, 2024
- M1425ILleel0 contributionsGreat Food Tour!We have done many food tours but never one on bikes. It was truly enjoyable! Biking allowed us to get away from downtown and enjoy hidden gems in local neighborhoods. The food was very good and plenty to eat! Kelly has tremendous knowledge of Oahu which was shared along the way. Highly recommend!Written September 30, 2024
- joannegM3730RX0 contributionsE bike ride to Manoa fallsThe Ebike ride was awesome had a blast The tour guide Kelly was cool. My only b issue was how much more challenging the hike up the waterfall was. Other than I love it.Written September 23, 2024
- shondat4640 contributionsMom and teenage daughterMy daughter and I went on a bike tour to celebrate her 14th birthday, and it was a FANTASTIC experience. Despite it being a slower season, Kelly took exceptional care of us. As someone with a disability, I appreciated his patience and accommodating pace. There was more than enough food, and Kelly even went the extra mile by treating my daughter to a few drinks not included in the plan. Not to mention the incredible many photos he took on his phone of us. Without us having to ask (extra bonus points). When the tour was over he informed my daughter he will be creating a video for her of her bday and label it her 14th birthday bike food tour. He offers military discounts, and maintains his bikes impeccably. The routes were perfectly planned. There wasn’t a question my daughter had he didn’t answer. Not to mention the impeccable list of awesome AFFORDABLE restaurants to visit while we are on vacation. We departed full and happy. I highly recommend this tour and Kelly's company.Written August 6, 2024

- leannerJ5065XD0 contributionsGreat bike ride! Our tour guide Kelly was great. He had a lot of fun random facts about Hawaii and the area we biked around. He took us to this awesome fish taco place after for lunch. It was the best activity we did out there. Definitely would recommend!Written June 20, 2024
- olgak912080 contributionsGreat way to see Manoa Falls! This is my second adventure with Kelly, and he always makes my Hawaii trips unforgettable. Though I don’t bike in my everyday life, I love to ride on vacation. Riding in Honolulu can be daunting, but Kelly’s expert guidance ensures I feel safe navigating the streets. He opts for quiet roads whenever possible, but even when we share the road with cars, I feel secure thanks to his awareness and communication skills with drivers and pedestrians. The e-bikes are fantastic—if I can handle them, anyone who’s ever ridden a bike can! Kelly accompanies you on hikes at your own pace, snapping photos and even creating a video of your experience. Plus, the inclusion of a meal, snacks, and drinks is a rare and delightful perk that sets Kelly apart from other bike tour companies. Booking with Kelly is a decision you won't regret and just may be the highlight of your trip. Aloha!Written May 29, 2024

We had taken the Downtown Chinatown tour and had such a great time that we booked the Diamond Head Tour, and what an adventure. We met Kelly in Waikiki and when we arrived everything was set up and ready. The bike are new and very well maintained, which made the ride to Diamond Head easy and comfortable. We made a few stops like The Light House , a green sand beach and The Amelia Earhart lookout. We got to the entrance and threw the tunnel and there we were in the crater. Our guide Kelly had everything you could need , cool bottled water and energy bars that he offered before the hike. The trail was very well maintained and the hike was moderate. When you reach the top of the dormant volcano, the view was spectacular. Kelly knew all the history of Diamond Head and the roll it played in World War Two. He also point out other points of interest . Like The Doris Duke Mansion , a few homes of famous celebrities and some of the neighboring islands that were visible on a clear day. We highly recommend this bike tour company. You can tell that Kelly is a professional and has been doing this for a long time. You we not be disappointed.
Mahalo Kelly for the great memories and the greats photos and video.

Kelly was a great tour guide. My family of four (kids ages 14 and 12) really enjoyed the tour. Kelly knows EVERYTHING about Diamond Head and its surrounding areas. We booked a private tour so that our kids could go at their own pace without the added pressure of keeping up with a larger group. The one thing I would caution future riders is to be patient when booking privately with Kelly. About 8 weeks before my visit, he texted that I had secured my desired date, however, he didn't follow-up with a payment link. I left him multiple voicemail and text messages needlessly worrying that I hadn't secured my family's guided tour. He's super busy and didn't respond to most of my messages. He did send me a link about 5 days before my visit - just as he said he would. If you're lucky to ride with him, he's worth every penny!

Had a great tour with the king of the one-liners, Kelli touring parts of Waikiki grabbing lots of laughs, memories and pictures along the way. Bikes were in great shape and the narration was super easy as every bike has its own speaker which was great.
Nice to break up the tour with wheels and walking. Lunch spot was awesome as well - book it Danno!

Our tour guide, Kelly, was an amazing source of local interest stories and also energy. The tour made stops at places we would not have visited otherwise on our trip to Honolulu, plus traveling via bike meant we could easily stop to check everything out. I am a less experienced biker, but Kelly was always helpful with bike speakers to communicate with us along the way and ensured our constant safety on the road. The food stop for lunch was perfect and off the beaten tourist path. Fish tacos! The information, stories and highlights from Kelly made our trip to Honolulu much more personal.

This is our second tour with Bike Tour Hawaii. On our last visit, we did the Northshore tour. This time we did the Diamond Head bike/hike tour. Kelly, the owner and tour guide is awesome. He is so excited to share his home with visitors. We've been to Waikiki many times, but we saw lots of sights we'd not seen before. The ride to Diamond Head was incredibly scenic. While it's not a long ride in terms of mileage, there are may great sights to see. The bike ride itself is not difficult, but there one climb up to the parking lot at Diamond Head that will get your heart rate up. Kelly led us up to the top of Diamond Head, and his local knowledge helped avoid the crowds that back up on the stairway to the top of the lookout. After the hike we rode to a local cafe for some great fish & chicken tacos. Highly recommend any of Kelly's tours. He is enthusiastic and provides a really fun tour!

The Diamond Head bike, hike and lunch was just what we were looking for in a day outing. The bike ride was easy for my husband who rides and just a small challenge on the last hill for myself. Good news is I could walk the bike up the last hill which only put me 2 minutes behind the others, I wanted to save my energy for the hike. Kelly is encouraging and knows how to keep the pace to the slowest rider in the group. We were lucky and it was just my husband and myself so it was truly a private tour. Kelly had speakers mounted on the very comfortable bikes which allowed every rider to hear all the interesting local history points and fun facts along the way. The hike was much easier than I thought and the day we went the hike was not crowded so we lucked out. The bike ride down the hill was fun and refreshing after the hike with the wind cooling us off. Lunch was by far the best avocado toast topped with a poached egg that I have ever had, that says a lot people I’m from Southern California where avocado toast is everywhere. Kelly was able to pick us up at our hotel and drop us off which was a plus considering we had to be at the meeting location at 7am and uber is expensive here. Thanks Kelly for going the extra mile for us. We will do more of his tours. Later in the trip we are doing his Foodie Bike Tour and we are looking forward to food as good as the Avocado Toast along with the insights and stories about the island Kelly has to tell.

Kelly was with us the whole way as we biked from Waikiki to Diamondhead, then hiked to the summit. We toured through neighborhoods on the way and back, and Kelly had a ton of interesting facts to entertain and inform us as we biked and hiked. I have great photos from the whole morning thanks to Kelly, and a slideshow made from the best ones arrived that night.

So much fun! Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. It was a great mix of biking and hiking. Helmets, snacks, and water were provided. The views of the water, monuments, and from the top of Diamond Head were outstanding. We rode through town and through some residential areas, and then walked to the top. Our guide talked with us throughout the bike ride from his microphone to a speaker each of had on our bikes, and he took a ton of photos that he sent us. The hike to the top was mildly strenuous, but worth the effort. The trip included a delicious lunch at a restaurant in town. Our guide made a big difference in this trip. If you aren't familiar with the area, it makes a difference to have a knowledgeable guide like ours.

Outstanding tour. Kelly was super accommodating. He knew a ton about the landmarks and the plants and birds. He provided plenty of water and a snack on top of the tasty local lunch. He’s a former triathlete so he could go as fast or as slow as we need. I’d do his tour again hands down.
