        Catamaran boat ride
This was without a doubt, my most amazing boat ride that I have ever done. The weather was perfect. Cindy and Rob were excellent!

        Trip highlight
This was such a great sunset cruise! We had a great time! The crew was awesome and very attentive. We did get to see a few whales at a distance. It was definitely top 3 of my favorite highlights from our week vacation in Kona!

        A must experience.
A wonderful experience created by our captain and assistant. The 50 x 26 foot catamaran was beautiful on the ocean. We had great weather and experienced a beautiful sunset. The dinner and cocktails were wonderful.

        Waikoloa whale watching
We go whale watching every year with this company and love it ! Super friendly crew and very knowledgeable ! We were able to see a whale shark and our guide actually jumped in to get a better look. 10/10 recommend ! We took my 12 month old , my 4,5 year old, my mom, dad, brother , and my 82 year old grandma and everyone had a blast !

        Amazing Sunset
The crew was awesome and fun! Great vibe - food and drinks were great and we even saw whales. The captain had us facing the sunset to take it all in - wonderful time and recommend for kids and adults.

It does not get any better: great boat, great crew, great drinks and lots of whales due to the crew’s diligence. The west coast and Waianae Mountains are beautiful!!

        Five Star Experience
We experienced a whale watching tour with Captain Brian and Jewel that was absolutely wonderful. The Boston Whaler boat is beautiful, powerful, and immaculately kept. The crew was knowledgeable, fun, and kind. What an amazing experience, seeing and hearing the songs of these amazing humpbacks. We loved experiencing this tour as a smaller group vs the big 50 person tours. Five stars for sure.

        Wonderful Trip
We had a wonderful time and saw Pilot Whales and Dolphins that the crew was very excited to see. Four of the six tickets were a rebooking of a whale watch tour we booked in March 2023 where we did not see any wild life.

Fun whale watching trip! Well worth the price!
Great experience for our family of 6 adults, ages 25 to 80. Highlight was seeing a momma whale with her baby. Crew was professional and very safe. Well worth the price of tickets. Would definitely use this company again. Be prepared to remove your shoes before getting on board the boat. Also there is not a sign for the tour company at the marina, just look for the large catamaran.

        Great snorkeling experience
The snorkel trip was amazing. There were only about 12 people on board and the staff was very engaging and friendly. They made everyone comfortable especially when some were apprehensive to get in the water. I would highly recommend this snorkeling experience.

        They accommodate people with disabilities
I'm a 72 year old sight impaired woman who took this evening cruise. The crew were very accommodating in helping me transfer between both boats. We saw whales, dolphins and a spectacular sunset. I would most definitely do this again. Marie

        First & best Snorkel Experience
We got Captain Stan with crew members Nicole and Jule. All 3 were amazing and super kind. It was our very first time snorkeling and the crew were super informative and accommodating. We were able to see a pod of bottle nose dolphins playing with a family of humpback whales on the cruise to the snorkel spot. We saw so many different beautiful fish and managed to see a turtle! On the cruise back in we got a delicious snack and lots of choices of drinks. We HIGHLY recommend taking this trip! 10/10

To start, our names weren’t on the handwritten guest list. We arrived early and were 4th in line, we were asked to wait to the side while everyone else was checked in it to prevent holding up the line. That was NOT very customer focused behavior. We paid for the trip a couple of weeks in advanced, provided an email confirmation and still were told to wait to the side while he waits for an Email confirmation from the office.
Once we were allowed to board, we were told that everyone would need to leave their shoes in binds at the dock. Had I known barefoot was mandatory we would not have taken the cruise. I’m just weird about my feet and the floor/ground. The bathrooms were NOT clean enough for me to go in without shoes. They smelled of urine and the floors were wet.
If those types of things don’t bother you, the rest of the cruise was enjoyable. We met some great people and a guy even proposed. The drinks were ok, the food was Luke warm but the sunset was amazing and the crew members were nice.

We utilized the services of Hawaii Nautical out of Waikiki, HI for a Sunset Cocktail Cruise in January 2022. Their Catamaran was very smooth riding, even in the swells on the ocean that day. Our cruise actually turned into a Sunset/Whale watching cruise because we saw as many, if not more whales (and closer) than we saw on the actual whale watching tour we booked with Hawaii Nautical out of Waianae! Which was a pleasant surprise because my wife really wanted to see whales on our Hawaiian vacation.... and thankfully she did!

But, for those who care, their Hawaii Nautical's Covid protocols are a joke! Once you board the boat no one was reminded to keep their masks over their nose and mouth, and social distancing was completely out the window. Esepcially in the line for drinks! I felt very unsafe on this cruise because of this, and because the boat was very crowded. Evidence that money trumps health with this outfit!

On 5/23/23 My husband, girlfriend and her husband, their daughter, son and grandson and I all decided to go on this Sunset Cruise. A 20th wedding anniversary gift. We all felt it would be a great ending to our wonderful vacation. After taking off our shoes and boarding the boat, we quickly realized that this cruise was not going to be the beautiful, relaxing cruise we needed. As soon as we left the dock, the ride was very rough, and the waters were turbulent! I've been on a catamaran before and never have I experienced such a horrible ride. After a few minutes of being on this boat, my juice flew off the table, a lady sitting outside the boat had a panic attack and started crying. I got seasick from all the "cowboy" riding tactics the captain was pulling. I think he thought he was being cute or fun, but it just turned out bad for me and my family. My husband, my girlfriend's husband and her grandson and I along with a lot of other passengers were all sitting inside the boat sick and very unhappy. The grandson actually threw up because of all the rough riding. This cruise was the worst cruise I have ever experienced. I don't even know why they call it a cruise...it is not. The $302.22 I spent on this experience was a complete waste of money. I felt like I was tricked into purchasing this trip. This cruise was a basic Bait and Switch tactic which is highly illegal. To name it the Sunset Cruise makes one think you'll cruise out to sea, get to Diamond Head and come back just in time to see the sunset. What we got instead was a horrible start which set the precedent for the entire trip We were left clutching the rails for dear life and floundering around the cabin of this boat trying not to injure ourselves. Even after we got out to sea and the captain calmed down with the rough driving, the damage had already been done and we were all sick and just wanted to get off this cruise. I noticed as we exited, there were boxed lunches that had not been touched. People were sick! We did not enjoy it at all. I will be asking for a refund for this cruise. I think it only fair to be refunded for being tricked and for this horrible experience.

This was a highly disappointing, unprofessional, frustrating experience.

We got there early for our cruise on Sunday, waited in the sun at the provided meeting place with all the other customers for half an hour, and the meeting time came and went. No boat ever showed up. We called customer support and were told the cruise was cancelled, and that we “received an email or text” saying so. That’s rich, considering how many people were here waiting. But the woman on the line was insistent (as if we ALL just ignored our phones that day?). It seems to me there was some mistake or lack of communication on their end, and this whole “you definitely received a call or text” response was a damage control/CYA attempt. Or maybe COVID caused some staffing problems. Unfortunate, but communication with your paying customers should always be your priority. If it weren’t for the Hawaii Nautical vehicles in the same parking lot, I might not even believe this is a legitimate activity on account of the radio silence. We even filled out the COVID waivers the day before/the day of, as requested, so they should have seen them being submitted and noticed a bunch were coming in for a cruise that was supposedly cancelled. We had to leave and spend the evening some other way, but we all felt ripped off and extremely disappointed. We were promised a refund but I have not checked with the person who booked it to see if it’s come through yet.

Bottom line, I would not recommend taking the risk on this activity unless you have backup plans.

The staff on the boat were great, they made conversations with everyone and offered to take your pictures, got you drinks and food. The reason for the 3 stars is because we set sail but just went about 3 miles from the island but stood stationary I asked if we were going to ride around see the views but was told there was no wind, other couple also questioned this. It was boring we just sat in the boat sitting in the same spot for pretty much the whole time. The food looked as if it was pre-ordered from a restaurant and was cold, they didn't have anyway of warming it up. I would say maybe try a different excursion with them but not the sunset cruise.

The Waikiki Sunset Cocktail Cruise was a great way to spend our last evening on Oahu. The crew was professional and fun! My family and I enjoyed the view of the coast, the included cocktails and music to dance to. The sliders were a nice appetizer to tide over to plans for a late dinner. During our trip we even had the opportunity to see some dolphins. The waves do get rough as the boat drives out from the shore. One of our family members took Dramamine the night before and about one hour before we arrived to check in and they were able to tolerate the cruise. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this cruise to future visitors!

After spending full day roaming around downtown Honolulu the Sunset cruise was the much needed relaxation. Hosts onboard were warm and welcoming. Overall good experience if you are not expecting too much from the Sunset cruse and going there just to chillax.

We originally went on a whale watching experience but unfortunately did not see any whales. This did not take away from the amazing treatment we got from the all woman crew who provided great information about the whales, good music and drinks! We were provided an opportunity to rebook since we did not see any whales and decided to book a sunset cruise. I would highly recommend the sunset cruise! The views were beautiful, there were not a lot of people, we saw a whale from afar and were spoiled by the crew! I would definitely book with Hawaii Nautical again!

We had a great time on this sunset cruise. The staff was funny and very entertaining. The drinks and pupus were yummy. Only criticism we have is they insisted we be there so early (cruise leaves at 5:30) and had to be there by no later than 5, but they didn't even open the gate until almost 5:45. People kept walking around to make sure we were all in the right place and complaining that we had to get there so early. We would definitely do it again though. A great way to end our day. Thanks.

The crew were all super chill and fun. They stayed on top of the drink refills and we got to see spinner dolphins, flying fish AND a humpback whale who gave us a 10 minute show. You do take your shoes off while on the boat which was actually pretty cool. Also if you have long hair be sure to bring a hair tie to keep your hair out of your face while you’re trying to eat your meal they provide to you!
