Paramount Tours did not contact us the day before as listed, and emailed at 5:06 am the day of the tour to say it was canceled due to “Minimum passengers not met” and stated “Full refund.” We are still fighting for our refund two months later.

Awesome trip! Mark, our tour guide, was great. Very knowledgeable, easygoing, flexible, stopped in all the right places to see the beautiful scenery and try great local snacks! Road to Hana is unique with beautiful scenery around every corner and there are lots of corners. Beautiful waterfalls and I especially like the Rainbow Eucalyptus trees!! Thanks Mark!!!!

We had an amazing day with Kimo (Jimmy) as our guide. We did so many amazing things during the tour. I’ll try to remember them all! At the onset we paused in Paia to pick up lunch and were introduced to a ginger shot for energy and to avoid car sickness. Totally did the trick! We stopped for wonderful hot from the oven banana bread. We saw waterfalls and paused for an exhilarating “swim”! Kimo knew all of the locals and got us premium service at each stop. He gave us a guitar serenade for our anniversary! We ate lunch in Hāna at the black sand beach. And on our return trip we stopped for ice cream (delicious) and made a stop to see a large group of turtles sunning themselves on a beach! It was a wonderful day! Marc was our botanist guide and he made our trip to Hana a most amazing experience. Three of the four of us had been to Hana before yet today we experienced the area to the fullest thanks to Marc. He was a wealth of information about the history, plant and animal life of Hawaii. Our lively conversations in the car as Marc expertly drove us through the windy, narrow road were educational and interesting. The small, quaint roadside stops made the trip tropically authentic. We loved all the waterfalls, beaches, blow holes, lava tube, hikes and turtles. It was an incredible day! Marc even stopped at a grocery store at the end of the day for us to pick up some items we needed. Thanks, Marc! If you are looking for the best, book Paramount Tours and request Marc.

We went to the Black Sand Beach on our way back from Hana. What a beautiful yet strange looking beach this is. The entire beach cove is covered with black sand and black rocks and is surrounded by jagged black rock cliffs. There is a cave that you can walk through to another small hidden beach cove, which is very nice as well. Watch your head going through the cave, though. We HIGHLY recommend that everyone visit this beach to experience its unique beauty. REMINDER - you must make a reservation to goto this beach so do it in advance. We made our reservation 2 days ahead of our planned date to visit and there were only 2 spots left. Goto see this natural marvel.

Great tour.... Great 8 person luxury vehicle... Great Tour Guide "Adam" !! 8 to 10 hour but worth it. Educational, Entertaining, great Breakfast and Lunch and definitely would recommend.

Absolutely terrible experience!!! Booked the road to Hana 5 weeks prior, called multiple times the day before and morning of, with ZERO response. Went to the meet up place, and waited for over 1.5 hours. Called TripAdvisor and they also couldn't reach Paramount Tours. OVER 2.5 hours AFTER the scheduled start time, I received an email "minimum passengers not met" . There was ample time for them to reach out and reschedule us for a different day, or communicate. 0/10 do NOT book with this company!

Was terrible. They never show up to pick us up! And they didn't let us know. We been there waiting for almost 2 hours. Not fear how they play with our money and time.

Loved this trip. Our guide, Mark Seagull was excellent. His depth and breadth of knowledge of Hawaii, Maui and the road to Hana was very informative. He was friendly yet professional and made great stops along the way for us. I would definitely take advantage of this road to Hana tour guide. It was a great trip! Thanks so much, Mark!

My experience is exactly like what other recent reviews described: I booked a few weeks in advance. No text or phone calls about the pickup time and location of the tour the day before the tour. Called their office during operating hour but no one answered. Left a voice message but no one responded. Then, we got a cancellation message right at the scheduled pickup window. I understand that the business can be hard with fewer tourists but the absolute absence of communication completely disregards the customers like us who planned the trip. Stay away from this company if you value your time and plan.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please don’t waste your time booking with this company. We were suppose to get a text the day before to ask what we wanted for lunch & what time to meet up for pickup, but we never heard anything. So we reached out to them via email & by phone and still nothing. We figured they forgot so we went to the pickup spot at 6 am like they listed. They never showed up. We also called them several times the morning of & the call would go straight to voicemail. Not only missed we missed road to Hana which is what I was looking forward to most on my trip to Maui, but they also wasted our time by making us wake up at 5 & drive to the meet up spot. They ended up cancelling the morning of the tour at 6:30am to when we were already at the meet up spot. Very inconsiderate & unprofessional. They could’ve at least had the decency to reach to out to us the night before to cancel. Anyways 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Worst experience ever. I messaged them through the trip advisor app as I hadn’t heard anything around noon Hawaii time and I knew they were supposed to text us to confirm our lunch order. I tried calling the number on the listing and it’s not working goes straight the voicemail and doesn’t let you leave a voicemail. We didn’t know what to do but hoped they had just got busy. We showed up to the pickup spot at 6am hoping they would show up and nothing. Around 6:30am the day of the tour 30 minutes after the pickup time we finally got an email that they had cancelled because not enough people had booked this trip. To say that was frustrating would be an understatement. Would they not have known this will in advanced? If they would have cancelled on us at least the morning before we could have made arrangements to go on another tour. Road to Hana was one of the things we we were most looking forward to and because of their unprofessionalism we didn’t get to experience that. So disappointing. I wish I had read the reviews more carefully. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR.

This is a COMPLETELY unprofessional service. My services were cancelled at 9:45 PM HAWAII TIME! My party and I were already asleep and had already made plans to wake up at 5 am to be on time for our scheduled pick up time of 6 AM. Nobody called me to inform me that the trip had been cancelled. Instead, we got ready and had to find out while we were waiting for our tour bus since NOBODY SHOWED UP. I also tried to confirm our reach out to ANYONE regarding our booking the day before, but the phone number they provide is not in service and you can’t even leave a voicemail! This company has terrible customer services. So much lack of communication, I would’ve rather spent the $40.00 difference to book a different, better tour. If you are visiting, please do not waste your time and instead from the get go choose a company that VALUES AND RESPECTS YOUR VACATION TIME.

They are HORRIBLE. Do not ever book with this tour company. They cancelled on my tour at 1am on the day of and screwed up my entire plans for the day. That was the only day we could do road to Hana and we were unable to find another tour company since we were only informed last minute. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY
