Visiting the farm was a great way to learn about regenerative farming and what this beautiful island has to offer. The team shared their knowledge on the future of farming and the benefits of microbes. Yay, go microbes! They also served different ways to eat taro and had a nice sugar cane treat to top off the afternoon. I also enjoyed some of the tasty tea made from local produce on the farm. Overall, I genuinely would recommend this trip for families as kids seemed to really enjoy interacting with the team while learning about the various crops. At the same, I went with a group of friends and we enjoyed our afternoon as well. Thanks for having us and for your hospitality!

A tasty introduction to regenerative farming on the island. Winsome was a great host and guide, and we got to sample a wide variety of island foods. The taro sample I brought back was a big hit with my family!

Had a great time visiting La Kahea for their farm tour. The tour itself felt very personal and was tailored to the group. Jakke and Whitney made me feel like a member of the farm, and the taro tasting gave me a new appreciation for the plant. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience on Maui!

Not a moment of the tour was spent inside, although some of it was under a roof. So from a COVID standpoint, there's little to worry about. You get to taste a few varieties of taro and watch poi being made. They talk you through their methodology and tenets. If you're interested in sustainable agriculture at all, this is an interesting and easily accessible tour.

My favorite part of the visit was mashing the taro into a paste! It was very therapeutic. Walking around on the 7 acre space to see how regenerative crop growing is progressing was pleasantly educational. I hope to return to volunteer on a future trip to Maui. Thank you Whitney and Winsome for sharing your passion.

Winsome and Whitney gave a great farm tour. Their wealth of information about farming and restoration of the land very informative. I learned things that I could use at home. The taro tasting was fantastic too.

We learned so much about sustainable farming. Touring the garden and farm was interactive and fun. I had to talk my friends into going and they left delighted with the experience. The sweet and savory taro treats and the lemon grass tea - yummy! They went above and beyond with their hospitality and tour quality.

We took the Taste of Hawaii tour last week and were blown away with the whole experience. Me and wifey wanted to see more of the island then just the resorts. We got to taste a plethora of farm fruits, taro many different ways and best of all sugar cane juice.

The amount of care the folks who run the farm give to the land was incredible (they don't even use tractors) and we left inspired. Don't miss out on this gem while you are visiting Maui.
