Aloha,
We had a wonderful time in our Haleakala tour with our guide, Michael. He was friendly, informative and gracious. He was so kind and offered to take photos of us at each stop. He told us wonderful stories of the island folklore and it’s history. One of the best things was he led us in a greeting to the Menehune . It was a terrific tour. I highly recommend it.

I usually don’t write bad reviews, but I feel I have to on this occasion. A guide is suppose to make a tour interesting, fun and stress free. Unfortunately our guide Nick did not stop talking for the whole 8 hours. And I mean did not stop. He didn’t come up for air. Personally I didn’t need to hear about his family or religious beliefs. Half way through the tour I had to put on headphones because I couldn’t stand it any more. I could not recommend this tour based on our guide unfortunately.Other members of our family thought the same so it wasn’t just me.

We chose the Summit tour during the day forgoing the early start to see the Sunrise. When we left at 7.00am the grey clouds were hanging over Haleakala and we could not see the summit. After a stop in Makawao to fit out the bikers on our tour we started the drive up the mountain. There is lots of beautiful scenery on the way and our guide Kimo kept us informed and entertained. The drive went from lush suburban areas with abundant avocado and mango trees, to emerge above the clouds into a spectacular lunar type landscape. The drive up is windy but two dramamine tablets helped me avoid any travel sickness. The drive is worth the views and the crater is a spectacular sight. So is the surrounding views including the Big Island in the distance. The air was a lot cooler and thinner at the summit but I didnt use the jacket I had packed.
After the descent we got to spend some time in Pa’ia. This was one of the reasons I chose this tour. Not having a car on Maui it was a good opportunity to see another part of the island. Kimo took us to Mana market which had the most delicious selection of hot and cold food available for takeaway. We then left at 2pm for the drive back to Lahaina.
I would highly recommend this tour. It was organised and delivered what it promised.

Very enjoyable tour. Kimo, the driver, did a great job of keeping things interesting. Stories, jokes and Tom also was a fountain of knowledge. Both guys made the trip very enjoyable. Kept it interesting and we learned a lot of things on the tour. Well worth the time and money.

My favorite part was the journey to the destinations itself! From our perky pick up guy Cory, to the tale tellin jokster Eddy, to our ride guides Billy and Dean...and Billy's Oli (chant) at sunrise...they made the trip worth the money!! I am glad we did this early in the trip because this started our whole vacattion off to a great start. This team was the best, hands down, funniest and friendliness time I had on any tour!! They made the rest of the trip even better with all their recommendtions on local food, what apps to use, where to surf and park, what was worth your time and see.. the real deal. Listen to the locals and not Yelp thi time!! Your safety was their biggest concern! I highly recommend this group!! You feel like Ohana after the day ends! They totally take care of you!! Oh and when locals say don't do something.....don't!

I would have appreciated to know that I was the only one not doing the bike tour. So I was with a guide tour interesting only by giving tips to the riders... I feel so alone... I paid 150 dollars for going up, late (all the places had had already taken by the others agencies) and go down with just one stop at the kula lodge for breakfast (30 dollars more). That's all! For this price, the others agencies give the breakfast for free. My friend did it with Skyline and he really enjoyed his tour. Not me. Even if the guide was friendly and nice.

As an older woman traveling solo, I chose this tour rather than driving myself up to Haleakala. While others rode back down on bikes, I chose to ride back in the van. Kimo provided humor and great historical information about Hawaii and specifically Maui on the whole trip. Back down from the crater, Kimo stopped at the Lavender Farm, but unfortunately it was closed. He showed me the towns of Makawao and Paia and also where to stop for fresh water right out of a coconut. It was an informative and entertaining tour. Thank you, Kimo.

We were almost left at the resort at 2am due to an error on the company’s part. They had a different name with our contact information, and initially the driver told us we weren’t going on their tour. We insisted we had a confirmation with their company but he said no, it would be another pickup. Thankfully the driver called our phone number before leaving. After making more stops for pickups, we spent a lot of down time wasted in my opinion. We didn’t do the bike tour but we waited about an hour at the shop for those to get their gear. I will give them credit for providing pants and jackets for the cold, but this process was over an hour. On the ride down in the shuttle the lavender field was closed (not their fault but it was still disappointing) so we stopped for 1 photo, then we were dropped at Paia at 9am to wait for the bikers for an hour and a half. Then a couple on our shuttle back to the hotel got lost and we waited even longer for them. Our guide was very friendly and informative. They made the drawn out day more tolerable, but in my opinion, this was a waste of time and money. I wish we’d been able to get a vehicle pass and go on our own to watch the sunset. It was definitely overpriced and entirely too long for a simple ride up and down. They should do a separate, cheaper trip for people not biking back down.

I'm confused, is this a bike tour or bus tour or both?

Hi, I really like the sounds of this tour but we will be staying in west Maui and will need some transportation from our hotel in west Maui to the National park area. Do you provide transportation from as far as west Maui and provide return to same hotel or do we need to provide our own in order to be included? Many thanks, Cathy

Does this tour include biking? Are guests required to bike?

Do you have a tour with out lunch and bike ride? Start at 9am and pick up and drop off at OGG airport? Thanks!

Do you offer any options that are strictly the bike ride without stops at the towns and a lunch? I'd like to do the ride with my grandson but prefer to limit it to the ride itself.
