Marty, our terrific guide, led us on a curvy adventure to Hana! He was an excellent driver and passed on many useful facts about Maui. We stopped at beautiful waterfalls and a black beach. We continued on past Hana to the back side of Maui which has a very different terrain! We drove past Oprah's ranch on Maui and heard many more interesting stories about Maui. - Tour608893162380 contributionsBuild on faults ownership and managementMy names kaili the tour guide who worked for this company when it was 2.5 star and was a big help to raise it up to 5 start back in 2016. Was let go because of a complaint that I wasn’t the issue for the complaint. This tour is a scam, every tour is different with different stops. You will see the same company vans on the side of the road that you won’t stop at. Cuz the owner let some drivers go to certain stops and the others can’t. 2nd reason is that only certain times of the year we would go full circle and as it is open the past year we been doing half way and back when I said the back side is open he said we won’t do it. My complaint was about the tour not being what was said on the site because we couldn’t go full circle. Also owner jay told me one bottle water per person. So I listened and give out water accordingly. I really don’t need to talk about the jay because you can read some of the replies on here and see that most of it is copy and paste. The whole small family business is false they own the same company in hawaii the reason he doesn’t do refunds is cuz he is a drunk who keep’s peoples money to spend at the bar where his baseyard is at.Written November 21, 2023

The pick up time was pretty early at 6:20am but I didn't mind it at all because I was truly looking forward to seeing the 7 pools. There was about 10 in our group, I think it started off kind of not good, the first thing that the tour guide will tell you is that there is no need to wear your mask inside the van which made me very uncomfortable. Especially with what's happening right now the high cases everywhere. Almost all of the people in our group removed their mask. No windows were at least opened a little bit to make sure the air is out so my daughter and I kept our masks on for our peace of mind. My daughter and I are both vaccinated but who knows who these people were in contact with. I think with the amount of money we pay for this tour, they need to do a better job with the food they provide for the tour. Our breakfast and lunch basically came from Safeway, I was hoping for something really good . Other than that we had the time of our life, Mak the tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the small details Hana had to offer. He made sure that everyone was having a great time. The views are just magnificent and I highly recommend at least trying it out at once when going to Maui because the tour takes you all around Hana to the dirt road, to the lush forest and to the amazing waterfalls this place has to offer.

This was one of the most spectacular tours I had ever been on. The stops were ideal and time at each was well planned. I'm glad we got to experience the full loop, something most tours don't do and usually entirely off limits to rental cars.
If you're trying to decide on tour vs no tour, I HIGHLY suggest you spend your $ on having a driver and guide. I am an experienced driver and enjoy driving but I would not have been able to enjoy the sites nearly as well if I had rented a car. Having a guide also adds so much more value to the experience itself.
Our Tour Guide Kristy was the best guide I've ever had over dozens of similar experiences across the globe. She knew the history, the culture, the locations, the flora, and the fauna like an expert. Kristy was respectful of the people and the land which you could hear and feel in every conversation and story. She treated our group like friends and family, even offering to wait in line to purchase items for us so we could continue to sightsee. She paid this $ up front and trusted us to pay her back. That is just good character that you cannot train or teach.
I'd recommend this tour for the stops and experience itself, but it was really Kristy who made our adventure as special as it was. Here I am a month later still looking at this tour as the first memory that comes to mind from my trip to Maui.

I'd recommend this tour for the stops and experience itself, but it was really Kristy who made our adventure as special as it was. Here I am a month later still looking at this tour as the first memory that comes to mind from my trip to Maui.

Kaili was an amazing tour guide who was truly congenial and knew the area well. He made everyone on the bus feel welcomed and comfortable, while making a big effort to point out photo opportunities for us to have great memories. His stories were amazing to listen to and he navigated the road very well. Definitely recommend this tour if you do not want to drive yourself, or want a fun different perspective on the road to Hana.

We had a great time on this tour! Charleston was our tour guide and he was awesome! He was the best part of the tour! Throughout the entire tour (and the scenic drive is fairly long) he kept us entertained with his vast knowledge of the landmarks on the road to Hana as well as the flora and fauna and the history of Maui and the rest of Hawaii! In addition he was very kind and had a wonderful sense of humor! I highly recommend this tour with Charleston as the guide! Other highlights include the black sand beach, swimming at some of the waterfalls and visiting a beautiful botanical garden. Note: the road is very windy so if your prone to motion sickness like me...take Dramamine in advance and you’ll be just fine...

Unbelievable…. This trip was a blast, are driver was the perfect amount of talkative… he knew where to slow down and speed up he gained are trust quickly. Gave us all of the inside information to me and my group of novice travelers. To explain more deeply there were two Texans and an old couple and two 20yd girls and me (14yd) and my mom and her sister. Total of 12 people in the van including the driver (kaili)This trip was a 12hour trip but with all of the views it truly was great. I highly recommend this, but a few tips. There wasn’t much hiking it is possible to just bring one pair of shoes.. (we brought 3, worried about hiking and swimming a lot) but black sand beach was a little rocky. I would bring a comfortable pair of shorts… I was wearing swim trunks the whole time but that is my fault just helping you guys out. But there are multiple spots to swim so DEFINITELY bring swim trunks. About half way there is a spot to jump into water over a waterfall… and black sand beach… those 2 places are beautiful. So definitely get a little wet on the trip… bring money the banana bread place is jaw dropping good… it will leave you in amaze. (If you have a talkative kid or a teenager or adult- sit in the front)
You’re biggest worried might be the 800 something turn drive or the temperature… kaili is the best at both of those… those truns he takes soloed and gains you’re trust and explains what’s he is doing… this guy (Kaili) he is the best driver I have ever seen. Pulling in his mirrors during those one way meets… pre honking the corners so we don’t meet some new people. In conclusion please do this trip… you will not regret it! 🙃

Not at all what was stated on the advertisement. First the original Booking stated that it was a small group trip of 8 to 10 people. We were picked up in a 24 person van. When we asked why we’re not notified the driver just had no answer. Then our breakfast was a dry “breakfast sandwich from Safeway and our lunch was also from there. The driver explained that they couldn’t rely on local food trucks to feed us so Safeway. The trip it self was very disappointing over half the activities mentioned were left out. Honey farm was missed because we were told the van was to big for their parking. No stopping at Seven sacred pools. Blowhole destroyed by the Ocean. No bamboos forest. The Aunties Banana bread stop was closed because we went to the reverse direction and got there late.
The whole time it felt like the driver just wanted to get us through the Road as fast as he could. When the trip started with the large van I texted one of the contact persons about this and have not heard from anyone.

I would like to thank driver for getting everyone safely back to hotel. I would like to thank the driver for doing the full loop around Hana. There aren't any drivers that can accomplish this task. I really appreciate your capability of driving safely doing the full loop. You don't know how lucky you are to have a driver who is capable of doing the full loop. 99% of the companies go in and come back the same way. You were very lucky to have 30 year experienced driver to take you on the tour. How fast can you go on the road to Hana. It's only 54 miles and took 10 hours. Safety is number one priority for us. Do not take any chances on Road to Hana. No other companies stop at 7 pools. We are the only company that stops over the bridge for everyone to take pictures. For past few weeks Auntie Sandys' has been out of banana bread. Sometimes we do give guests choices of going front first or back first. It just happened that the people complaining happened to say nothing. This is a group tour, we have responsibility of keeping safe. The tour guide made right choices. We swam at black sand beach, swam at waterfalls.

Our day trip was incredible!. A great way to see Hana with an expert tour guide. Kaili was very knowledgeable, a great safe driver, and made the whole group feel welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. He took us to great spots, helped us get the perfect pictures, and gave plenty of time to enjoy highlights such as the black sand beach and the waterfall swim spot. 10/10 would recommend this tour for friends, couples, families, or even single people ready to make some new friends!

Heavenly was our driver, and she was awesome! Although we were a pretty quiet group, I personally appreciated her energy and willingness to talk to us from early in the morning til the evening; it would have been a very different ride otherwise.
The road itself is the attraction, with all the included stops being picture worthy and some other stops being worth it also (banana bread and coconut Glen's!) Hana is a small town that we drove through but not that interesting otherwise.
Bring cash for the fruit stands and other stalls along the road; most do not take credit cards.

This was the highlight of our trip to Maui. Charleston arrived on time to pick us up from our resort, which was WONDERFUL. More tours should offer this service! Charleston was an amazing guide - full of energy, very upbeat, social and played a GREAT music selection in the car. He went out of his way to converse with my teenage son who ended up sitting in the front seat with him. He made everyone feel special and told great stories about the area and the history of Hawaii. I learned a lot from him! The sights were spectacular. We missed one or two mentioned in the booking, but there was also a LOT of traffic on the road, causing some delays and I'm sure he needed to keep us within the allotted time frame. There is SO MUCH to see. We will have to go back sometime again in the future. I think a tour is the best way to start this type of adventure - less stress, parking was never an issue and Charleston handled the road with ease. He made this whole day very memorable and fun!

We had a party of 17 and 2 vans. When we first reserved this, we also reserved vans to take us back to the airport. We ended up renting vehicles, and did not need this service. My son first spoke with Sean who stated they would include that service free with our reservations of 17. When I spoke with Jay, (who stated he would give me a better deal) I was charged $300 for this service. I did forget to call and cancel our ride to the airport, but had let our driver know. I did get a reminder at my home email, but we were not at home. I received a call the afternoon of the ride to the airport, and let him know it was no longer needed. In the end we paid $146.29 per person, even children. This ended up being MORE than the advertised price. More time is spent at Safeway, than most of the stops. The tour is set up to stop at specific places for you to purchase things. Most of the waterfalls were just passed by. We did get to stop and swim at ONE. We did not go to the seven sacred pools as I was led to believe. The round trip was a bit long, there were no waterfalls, or much of anything on the other side. Black sand beach was great! Also the colorful trees. If doing it again, I would definitely drive myself. I want to express how GREAT and knowledgeable our tour guides were. Not as happy with the DEAL I ended up with.

Hi, among the conditions for service is reservation for 2 people. Does this means that the entire tour shall have at least 2 people to keep the tour or that each reservation shall be done at least for 2 people? No single travelers accepted? Looking forward!

Hi, I don’t see any reason why a single traveler couldn’t book this tour as there are no activities that require two people. I do believe that the tour requires a minimum of two people for the tour to go forward though.

When you make your reservations you might want to ask if the van or bus will easily accommodate a walker. Some sites do require walking along paths that might be uneven so you might consider staying in the van or bus if mobility is a problem.
