Doing a trail ride at Circle M Ranch is an amazing way to spend the morning! I had riden a horse before, but only a couple times. The wranglers gave such an informative lesson before I got on my horse, Tex, that I felt at ease as we got on our way. What a unique way to see a part of Maui I had never seen before. It was breaktaking and relaxing at the same time. Highly recommend!

This tour takes you away from the tourist scene and shows you the beauty of the island in a way you won’t see unless you experience it on horseback. The ranch was beautiful and loaded with many different, interesting animals. Each horse has their own personality and the guides do their best to pair the rider with the horse best suited to them. They take time to educate riders on safety and the history of the ranch and island.

This is a unique area on the isle of Maui and we are glad we stopped by. You get a good view of the ocean side and can ride horses and visit what its like to be on a ranch style seting.

I was graciously accommodated when another ranch cancelled at the last minute. Second ride with them. Excellent leaders.

I really wanted to visit to recommend this location but the communication on their end was poor. We had booked a trip with on a Friday afternoon. The previous day was heavy showers and assumed that our reservation would be rescheduled or canceled due to the weather. We got charged full price but luckily booked with our credit card company. Please aware of their non flexible policies

Mendes Ranch was top notch. The horse were well taken care of and well mannered. We felt safe the entire time and the views were awesome.

This is great for beginners of any age. The guide is engaging and tries to keep it entertaining while always looking out for everyone's safety. This will be a repeat visit on our next trip.

We booked a trail ride at Mendez Ranch for our last day on Maui. My wife , grand daughter and i climbed aboard the well behaved and well seasoned trail horses and were lead through some of Maui’s beautiful mountain country by two expert and personable guides, Larry and a transplant from Pennsylvania whose name escapes me. They were both great. This is a fun ride, even for those with little experience with horseback riding.

This is an awesome ride! If you get Larry, you will be in great hands! Highly recommend it for friends, family, and kids!

This tour is on the Mendes Ranch, its 300 acres on the north (slightly west) part of the island. You get to ride horses on a trail that takes you along the coastline. You will get unbelievable views, farm animals (ie cows, chickens, pigs, peacocks, etc), and a nice easy ride. I have done this tour on several trips, I have been with people that are very high level riders and complete beginners. The guides are great, they have a variety of horses that can fit any rider level. If Butch leads your tour, ask him for some passion fruit. He will pick it for you from the trail.

We had a fantastic ride at this ranch! Butch and Larry were great guides. The horses were all very nice and well cared for. Can’t beat the views!! I especially enjoyed the two chances to run my horse :). Others in my group chose not to and that was fine too. Overall great experience and highly recommended!

We did a morning ride with Larry and he was absolutely wonderful. We had advanced riders and beginners in our group and the horses were perfectly paired to us. Gorgeous scenery and thoroughly enjoyed it!

We had a great time on a morning ride. Although relative beginners, having only done a couple of trail rides, we were well taken care of and were given horses with a little personality, but we still felt confident. Our nine year old had a great time, even being able to run his horse a little. The scenery was beautiful, it took away any apprehensiveness I might have had as it was so lovely. Our guide Trevor was authentic, and our horses looked well cared for and happy. Even though I didn’t think horseback riding was for me, I’d do this ride again next time we come.

Mendes ranch is situated in one of the most beautiful places, with views of the coastline of Maui. The wranglers were real cowboys and you have an option of the horses running for two short stretches of the ride (only if you want to). If you're into horseback riding, this is a great place to do it!

One of the best experiences we had. Small group, great guides and beautiful scenery. AND we got too gallop. Stopped for photo shoots. I highly recommend this ranch for riding.
