This was an amazing experience! The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We were emailed great information beforehand so we knew exactly what to bring and what to expect. Wetsuits and snorkelling gear were provided. We saw so many manta rays!! This tour was the highlight of my whole trip to Hawaii.

A nice day out to snorkel the Bay. A bit of a trek to get to the bay, but once there it is amazing. The guide got in the water with us and pointed out some of the underwater creatures. We were hoping to see turtkes or dolphins, but no such luck on that day. Not to worry, we had a great time anyway. The water is super clear and perfect temperature. We had over an hour snorkelling in the Bay and didn't feel rushed at all. Once back in the boat, there was drinks and snacks available. Thanks to Sharker Parker and Captain John. A great day out!! Amazing snorkelling tour with Sam and Parker very informative and professional guides. I felt safe with them. From Harbour to Capitan Cook memorial we did a few stops at Kona beach and guides have talked about history of Kona(big island) and then they took us for watching whales but unfortunately we did se any. After that, we did snorkelling at Capitan Cook Bay. I saw many colourful fishes. Parker was very informative and tried to describe every fish that you could see. Also, he points as for shark cave.

This was a great experience. I accidentally booked the wrong day, but they were able to accommodate us. Captain Sam was very professional. The snorkeling was excellent. Efficient in every way. Decent equipment. Would definitely recommend the company.

Had an amazing snorkeling experience in the morning local snorkel tour. Captain Sam and Maddie were super nice and made the whole trip very memorable. The tour stops at two unique snorkel spots giving a lot of time to enjoy snorkeling, plus not much time spent on the boat which is a plus. I would highly recommend Kona Snorkel trips.

I am grateful for the wisdom, humor, and skillfulness of our guide Maddy and Captain Cory. I will never forget our evening Manta Ray Night Snorkel. To experience these magnificent creatures up close and personal...what a privilege!

This trip is AWESOME!! You cannot explain it, you just need to live it! Captain Alexis and Shailee were fabulous!! They were very safety conscious and very entertaining!! Highly recommend to anyone for a trip of a lifetime.

Joined a late evening snorkel trip to see the Manta Rays. All the staff were fantastic, and the boat was very fast, yet surprisingly steady. Please don’t let the fast boat deter you, will appreciate it on the way back to the pier (it can get cold). The manta experience itself was incredible, lots of rays that came very close and obviously have been treated well and respectfully by this company for a long time. I would highly recommend this experience, really nothing like it.

I had originally booked the early morning snorkel, 7:30 to 10:30, however was the only one signed up so was graciously rebooked to the Captain Cook Memorial snorkel at no extra charge. This trip requires a 55 minute boat ride each way, which was not bad as we were rewarded with a Whale sighting on April 5th, not all whales leave when they are supposed to. We enjoyed a snorkel guide with us in the water as our boat was live and followed us along the bay. The down side to this great snorkeling site was the 6 boats that were already there at 9:300 in the morning. Next time I will keep my fingers crossed that more snorkels sign up for the early morning at Pawai Bay.

This all woman-crew were very thoughtful and genuinely cared that we were all having fun and doing well. They went above and beyond any other snorkeling tour company we have snorkeled with. This crew actually get in the water and snorkel with you. They guided us to good spots and pointed out various fish, and also made sure nobody wandered off too far. At the first area we went to they jumped in the water to check it out and found the visibility was ok but not optimal so - unlike many other tour companies we have snorkeled with that would have just stayed there - they actually suggested we try somewhere else which we all agreed to do, and took us to another area which was amazing, and then a third area which was even more amazing. In these two snorkel areas the visibility was incredible and the fish around the reefs were plentiful. Along the way we saw some whales too. The crew had snacks and drinks for us, and even helped us rinse our gear off at the end. I would highly recommend this tour company.

This was the coolest snorkeling experience ever. The manta rays came an inch away from my mask over and over. They would swim toward you with their mouths wide open (you are staring down their throat) and then back flip right before they got to you. Just amazing. Kona Snorkel Trips were outstanding. Sherry provided valuable information when I called (after hours) a couple of weeks before the trip and was there to greet our group when we arrived. All of the snorkel guides were outstanding.

Snorkeling with the Manta Rays and the ladies of Kona Snorkel Trips 🤿 has to be amongst my top 10 excursions I've ever done! I'm an OW2 scuba diver and have been diving with whale sharks.This experience was right up there for me as a WOW!!! Captain Alexis and Shaylee were amazing to guide us through the experience! Fun, welcoming, safe, and very knowledgeable. Plus, I love to support women owner and women run small businesses! Going in the ocean at night can be a little overwhelming if you're not used to it, and they made sure everyone knew what to do to feel calm and relaxed to get the most out of the experience. What I also appreciated was that they wouldn't allow others to degrade the group's experience. For instance, it's super Important to kerp your legs up, arms close to you, and your body flat so that the mantas come close to feed on the plankton. If someone is flailing around in the water, they will go elsewhere. The guides were totally on top of those situations so that everyone was having the best experience! I personally LOVE this! We will definitely rebook with Kona Snorkel Trips for not only this experience, but others they offer. Don’t hesitate to book with them!

John and Jeanette were excellent, hospitable guides that made sure we had a positive and safe experience. The snorkeling adventure to Captain Cook monument/Kealakekua Bay was well organized and so very pleasant. The boat ride was so refreshing and the snorkeling was beautiful. They taught us about the area’s history and wildlife, and pointed out all types of fun creatures to observe, including humpback whales, sea turtles, octopuses ,eels and many types of tropical fish. Drinks and snacks are provided on the way back as well. They had all the necessary equipment and helped us make sure it functioned well. I highly recommend this tour,! I’ve done it several times on repeat trips back to the Big Island . If you combine it with their amazing night manta ray tour, you get a nice discount.

Our family included two grandchildren, their parents and grandparents we ranged in age from 10 to 73. All of us said it was awesome!! The ride was smooth, the crew were knowledgeable, careful and fun, the snorkeling while holding on to a surfboard with handles and floating fir 40 minutes was exciting and safe , the crew swan and pulled the surfboard to get maximum viewing of the mantas as they swam beneath us was just wonderful. We will never forget this experience. This company rocks !!!!
