We spent the day today with guides Gavin and Shane and 10 other zip liners at Botanical World Adventures! This was not our first time zip lining, but it was the absolute most fun we have ever had on zip lines. Gavin and Shane made the adventure amazing from the moment they met up with us to help get our harnesses properly fitted. They worked very well together and both of them had a great sense of humor. They both shared great island stories and knew exactly what to do to ensure everyone of all ages and experience levels felt safe and had a great time. The grounds at Botanical World Adventures are beautiful and such a great place to enjoy flying through the trees and over waterfalls! Book a trip and have the time of your life! I promise...you will NOT be disappointed.

Super fun day in spite of the weather, our guides Jordan and Cadence were wonderful, knowledgeable about the bikes, full of lots of local information, and made the entire experience awesome. Highly recommend but very strenuous with lots of hills. Be prepared.

I was a little nervous as this was my first time. Chase was very patient and explained every step. It was a blast I am so glad that I did it and would do it again in a heartbeat. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every line. Chase, Jordan and Gavin were outstanding. They took a lot of pictures for us and made the adventure very enjoyable. We highly recommend it!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our tour guides Emma & Tryson were amazing! Not only did they provide an awesome zipping experience, we learned so much about the many beautiful plants in the area. This is the place to go!

Great adventure through beautiful country! The zip line crew were fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. We always felt safe with the lines and adventure. The last zip line was amazing as the gorge opened up to show the beauty of the waterfall and terrain below. This would be a repeat adventure if the opportunity was available.

The zip line canopy tour was great fun — eight zip lines, including a final line that went half a mile over a gorgeous waterfall and allowed two people to zip at the same time on parallel lines. Good for all ages.

The botanical world adventure crew of Trisen, Lish and driver John were amazing. They were helpful, friendly, patient and made the zip lining experience a great one. Very thorough and made safety priority. We will ask for them again. I’m sure most are excellent, but they were excellent plus. We trusted them completely. Awesome human beings…

We went zip lining at Botanical World Adventures and had a great time! It was myself, my husband and our 8 year old daughter. Our guides Ipo and Tryson were super fun and knowledgeable on not just zip lining but all of the plants and area history. After researching pricing of other zip line companies, I thought the price was very reasonable as well.

The zip lines were great and staff was excellent. I took my 3 boys (4,6,10 yrs) and we all enjoyed the ride especially the final line which is 1/2 mile long over a waterfall!

Fun and experienced crew!! Had an amazing time and a lot of information about the surrounding area!!! The guides are great!!! Loved everything about it!!!

We signed up for the zip line adventure, and it did not disappoint! The guides are friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about the zip lines and the local plants and animals. This was a perfect adventure for us! Thank you!

What a great experience. Tyson and Jayson our guides were awesome. They made sure my granddaughter and I as well as all other members of the group were safe and had a great time. In addition they were full of information about the plants and animals that are native to the area. They made a game out of some of our lines which made it exciting. Emma and Cole our drivers were always on time to pick us up and help out with the lines that were double. As part of the cost they took pictures of each participant which we received the same day. Would highly recommend this as something to do for all ages. I am 68 and my granddaughter 11.

The shuttle from ship to the Botanical spot was great with Charity and Kevin! Nice clean air conditioned party bus like thing. We got to keep our stuff nice and secure in there. Zipline part; No need for a backpack cause you won't zip with it on. A fanny pack or crossbag made for some adventure would be best suited to keep your important stuff on you. If you're gonna go with sandals...make sure you wear the kind with the toes covered. But really...any sneakers would go also. It's a part trail walk in some areas...but nothing serious. I had my GoPro 11 with battery pack and it was fine with all this. The Zipline on our rides had no brakes...and there were 2 guides with us the whole time. Justin and Orion were super knowledgeable, experienced, and hilarious. I had Justin going on my joke that I had fallen from a 30,000 ft. zipline and they had to cut 6 inches off my legs to save me...this was my first time ziplining. And I will definitely go again with these folks. They start you off on an easy line for the first few so that you become comfortable. Then you walk a suspension bridge which can feel intimidating...but you'll be alright. They offered starfruit, which was delicious, bug spray to help protect yourself from angry skeeters and what not, and water at the base. Bathrooms...there are none. They got porta-potties at base. Guys are okay cause it's fairly easier for us than women when out there in the sticks. I love how there is a history, information, and a connection from the guides to the land. This was perfect for my wife on her birthday and she doesn't like heights. But that last zip is one you don't wanna miss. If you hear cannonball between the guides on the walkies...tuck your legs like you're gonna do a cannonball because the winds can work against you. But have no fear...these guys are quick and good at what they do.

I really don't understand how this place has such a high rating. It's got to be from people who do the zipline tour or something. If you just come here for the botanical garden you are probably going to be really disappointed. There is very little in the way of interesting plants, it's almost all trees. I mean sure, the rainbow eucalyptus trees are neat, and the succulents garden is interesting (though very small), but there are very few flowers here and a lot of ground to cover. You're mostly just looking at different kinds of trees while walking through. And there's not even really a laid out path to follow or any sort of signing giving you directions once you get off that first path by the maze. It really just felt like you are walking directionless through a field a lot of the time. And I ended up hating the hedge maze they have because there is absolutely no shade and nowhere to sit down in the maze if you get tired. In fact, there's nowhere to sit down in pretty much the whole place, which is another complaint I had. Right outside of the maze there are some picnic tables and I think over on the other side of the garden there are a couple chairs, but that's it. And the bugs are relentless. I sprayed bug spray before entering and whatever these bugs were they were not phased at all. They weren't mosquitos and I don't think they were biting me but they were just constantly buzzing around my head and in my ears and it was so annoying. I did like the waterfall, and after my experience with the main part of the botanical garden I didn't even bother with the rainforest trail. I had had enough for one day. Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Garden is a far, far nicer botanical garden near Hilo.
