I booked a private boat for my birthday and it was well worth it! Jacob and Ryan were great and made the whole experience so awesome! They were very patient with our large group that included older and younger people. I started feeling sea sick at one point and Jacob was very sweet and let me drive the boat for a bit to help distract me. Such a fun excursion! Highly recommend!

17 of my family members were onboard the boat as Captain Jacob and Nathan were our guides. There was rough water to the north so we headed south towards Kealakakua Bay with hopes of swimming with dolphins. We ran into some humpback whales which came up near the boat. Saw 2 spinner dolphins that had been chased away by a bottlenose dolphin. Guess they don't get a long very well but hoped to find a spinner pod to swim with later. We arrived at Kealakakua Bay and snorkeled for about an hour. Costco sandwiches, chips, water/POG and fresh fruit awaited us once we reboarded the boat. Motoring back to the harbor we ran into a spinner pod and jumped into the water with them. They swam to the bottom (approximately 75 feet deep) and just hung out for us to watch. It was really neat to see them play with each other. On our way back they stopped the boat several times and pointed out some historical places and old lava tubes. When we arrived at the harbor they told us about the beach right by the parking lot and we were able to see turtles, as they said are almost always there. Very professional tour and highly recommended.

Crew, service, food, and really everything was fantastic. We booked a Captain Cook tour in advance, changed our groups size, and then switched to a private boat in the end. The office handled everything perfectly and even helped us find the boat when we got lost at the harbor.

Great day on the water with Captain Jacob and Ryan. They had their hands full with a large group some of which had limited ocean swimming experience. Everyone felt safe and we were able to see some pretty amazing sea life including spinner dolphin, an octopus and safely from the boat a shark.

We used Hang Loose for the nighttime manta ray and also a private charter. Both were excellent. Adam is an amazing boat hand with boundless positive energy. Jacob and Simon were great captains. Highly recommend this company. They are generous with the time (in our experience they let the time extend to take advantage of fun things that popped up) and friendly and knowledgeable.

This was one of the most epic experiences with this company. Not only were we able to spot whales but we were also able to swim with a bunch of wild dolphins in the open sea. The guides are excellent and very professional, I highly recommend them!!

Very good crew. Captain was very friendly, entertaining and professional. His crew were very helpful and friendly. We had two trip, the Boat Adventure and the Night Mana Ray watch. Both were very interesting. My kids enjoyed every bit of it. They made every single minute a lot of fun.

We were traveling with a family of twelve (all ages). Simon and Jacob made the private charter exciting for everyone. We were lucky enough to see wild dolphins, whales, Captain Cook's Cove for snorkeling, etc, which was mixed with great knowledge of the wildlife and history of the island. We were pleasantly surprised with the sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips, and other snacks on board. The whole family loved it and we would book again if/when we come back to Kona!

We traveled to Hawaii as a family of 17 with ages ranging from 6-85. We booked with Hang Loose for their competitive pricing and stellar reviews. We were not disappointed! Jacob and Captian Charlie we’re friendly and knowledgeable and made sure everyone was having a great time. We were able to get out and swim with wild dolphins twice, getting close enough that we could reach out and touch them. We also saw a humpback whale and were lucky enough to spot some manta rays. I’ve snorkeled in two other locations but this was by far the best snorkel trip I’ve ever had. Everyone had an amazing experience. It was well worth the money. I highly recommend booking this tour.
