About
Explore the crystal clear water of Roatan onboard a Catamaran. You will have the chance to explore Roatan's Coral Reef using one of the snorkeling kits on board and enjoy alcoholic drinks and food snacks.
There is no better way to relax in Roatan than cruising, snorkeling and sunbathing on an amazing Catamaran.
Contact us for private CATS.
Note: At times, even if it's raining, the ocean is calm for the Catamaran to go out. This is common and it's due to the fact that we're protected by the reef. On these days, you might get a little wet and the visibility might not be the best. (Most of the time visibility is great, regardless). If you don't want to accept these sail conditions, please cancel the cruise at least 24 hours in advance in order to get all of your money back. If you cancel last minute, we will have to charge you a fee to be able to pay for our drivers time and gasoline to pick you up.

Pick-up/Drop-off are included in all of our tours. We will contact you very soon to send you more information! After booking, please check your inbox! Also, please note that the time for this tour can change at any moment, therefore, we ask for you to please check your messages on Viator and email up to the tour date (Specially the night before and morning of the tour) in case there are any updates. Also, please respond to all of the messages we send you, as we need to confirm that you received them and are aware of any updates we provide you. Note: In case we have to cancel the tour, you will receive a proper notification. If you don't receive a notification from Viator or us, it means that the tour will run as scheduled. Please check your messages for any updates. Remember, that this is not a private sail and it will be shared with other people. Also, we work with different sized Catamarans that fit 40-70 guests and the one you will sail on depends on the cruise ship traffic that day and whether its a day cruise or sunset cruise. Day cruises (cruise shippers) will usually go on the bigger CATS. Moreover, sometimes we go out in the morning and sometimes for sunset. If only day cruises are available that day, usually when cruise ships are on the island, you will share it with cruise ship guests. Also keep in mind that since the catamaran is shared, the sail times are not always exact. You might have to wait a little bit more time (at the marina or in the catamaran) to sail if the Catamaran is delayed for pickup (this rarely happens) or if other people who have paid to be in the same Catamaran are a little delayed and not past the cutoff limit. Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding! Finally, if you require pickup past Dixon Cove, we will have to charge extra for pickup (payable in person).. Therefore, you can choose the option "I will select my pickup location later" and we will message you to discuss your pickup. Keep in mind there's an extra fee for pickup past Dixon Cove, depending on where you need pickup from. Finally, sometimes Catamaran tours are not available on certain days when the weather doesn't permit or the minimum number of participants is not met. Please bear with us while we confirm if the Cat cruise is available for your selected tour date. However, the cat cruise is available almost always! In case its not available, we will ask you to either, offer a different date for it or cancel the tour and we will process a 100% refund.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mollymU6910VM0 contributionsWonderful chocolate making classWe arranged this class with Dani. He made the process easy and even helped us arrange transportation to and from the Factory. There was a nice presentation about the history and process of making chocolate. Then we got to each make our own chocolate bars. He walked us through each step along the way, explaining the purpose of each step. Afterwards, we were able to sample all the varieties of chocolate that they make at the Factory. I would highly recommend this class, especially if you love dark chocolate.Written September 25, 2024
- BekBekah0 contributionsAmazing time!We had an amazing time! Mario’s energy and enthusiasm made it a memorable experience. He showed us some incredible underwater sights!Written September 13, 2024
- gabriellabY7617BI0 contributionsMario was the best!Mario was the nicest tour guide! What I loved about this trip, is it felt like we literally rode through town with an actual local, and learned about the island! It felt like hanging out with a friend and not just someone you hired. He was very hospitable, fun and educated about the sea and the island. The tour itself was beautiful. I was excited that we actually got to some deep-ish waters and not just 7 feet snorkeling. The walk from the cruise port to RTGA was about 10 minutes but they gave such detailed instructions, we had no issue. However if you’re coming from a cruise make sure you have WiFi/service or else I wouldn’t have received the instructions the morning of. They also took some awesome pics of us! 100% book with them instead of an excursion with a cruise line, it was the highlight of my trip.Written September 9, 2024
- davidwT6861UJ0 contributionsGreat local feelMe and one friend booked the snorkeling excursion with RTGA(roatan tour guide association) and had a great time. Our tour guide Mario was very friendly and knowledgeable. He sent us very detailed instructions on how to get out of the port to the pickup area. He then picked us up right outside of the port and took us to West End. Along the way he told us quite a bit about the island and his time there. Once we arrived at west end we had our own boat ready to take us out to snorkel. Mario made sure all of our gear was functional and safe before hitting the water. He then lead us around the beautiful snorkeling locations all while taking photos to send to us afterwards. When we were done he was more than happy to show us the shops and food that the West End had to offer. We were not rushed whatsoever and got a locals perspective on everything they had to offer. Once we were done checking out shops he also returned us to the port. The entire experience was amazing. Definitely better than anything I have booked through a cruise/all inclusive in the past. He made us feel like we were the number one priority and was such a great guy. I cannot recommend Mario and RTGA enough. If you are in Roatan, definitely check out their snorkeling package or one of their many other packages.Written September 7, 2024
- A9992JZsamanthaa0 contributionsAmazingThis tour is definitely worth it! Dani and Mario made our time in Roatan amazing and definitely made me want to go back. They were punctual with their timing and made sure we were comfortable all day.Written September 5, 2024
- L4748ZJlexis0 contributionsBest Snorkeling in the WORLD!!RTGA and Dani took our family on the best snorkeling trip we’ve ever had, even better than the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He is so knowledgeable and nice, it is absolutely worth your time and money to book with RTGA. They exceeded our expectations!Written August 24, 2024
- carmenbZ412KE0 contributionsAmazing Snorkeling Adventure - Puts Others to ShameMy family and I recently went on an incredible snorkeling tour with Mario in the West End of Roatan, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! Mario took us to two amazing spots: the Blue Channel and the Aquarium. Both locations were stunning, with vibrant coral reefs and an abundance of colorful fish that put other snorkeling tours we'd done to shame. The underwater scenery was breathtaking, showcasing the beauty of the second-largest barrier reef in the world. What made this tour even more special was that it was completely private. This meant we could explore at our own pace without worrying about keeping up with a group. Mario was an excellent guide, and his knowledge of the local marine life made the experience even more enriching. Don't let the fact that you're not a strong swimmer, prevent you from doing this tour! I used a life jacket and snorkeling equipment provided by Mario, which made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. You don't need to be an expert swimmer to enjoy the beauty of Roatan’s underwater world. If you're planning a trip to Roatan, I highly recommend spending part of your vacation exploring the island's vibrant marine life with Mario. You won't regret it!Written August 23, 2024
- karriep20210 contributionsHondorus ExperienceThis trip was amazing. We saw lots of cool fish and also the shipwreck. Our guide JB made the trip even better. He shared lots of local information and even took us to an authentic restaurant for lunch. I would definitely recommend this tour for your family! ☀️🐟🐠Written August 13, 2024
- irynab3130 contributionsWant to come back 🏝️🤩 Wow 🤩 I wish everyone would carry for own business like you do. You made me fall in love with island 🏝️ Special thanks to Mario 🥭 Definitely it was what we were looking for and got even more 🏖️⛱️🏝️🥥Written August 4, 2024
- 623christelb0 contributionsThe Best Private Tour - it's a must!!!We had the absolute best day in Roatan thanks to Dani and his team through RTGA. We took a private catamaran ride for 4 hours. Dani sent very detailed instructions prior to our visit making it easy to find out where we needed to be and when. He met us at the meeting point and introduced us to our driver - Jovin - who was great. We took a short drive to the marina and boarded the catamaran and met Captain Cary, Eric and Daniel. They were fantastic the entire trip! It was so awesome to have our own private boat - we had an open bar and Eric the bartender made great drinks and whipped up some awesome snacks including fruit, meats and cheese and delicious Ceviche. We cruised the south shore or Roatan - learned some great facts, conversed with the captain and ended up at a fantastic snorkeling spot - where we geared up and were taking around by Daniel to see tons of great fish in the gorgeous water - with no other people around! After snorkeling we made it to the animal sanctuary and it was so great to pull up in our private boat and not worry about tons of other people. After seeing the sloths and monkeys we made our way back to the boat and cruised back down to the marina. My teen kids loved sitting at the front of the ship the entire ride, snorkeling and jumping off the boat while we were at our snorkeling spot. I cannot recommend this crew and company enough. We absolutely had an amazing day thanks to them and I am already thinking of how I can return to do it again. Thank you Roatan Tour Guide Association for making our first trip to Roatan a huge success for the entire family - from teens to seniors!Written July 31, 2024
- Roam4283680 contributionsBluest Blue Best Snorkeling Experience! We had an awesome experience snorkeling with the Roatan Tour Guide Association. There were tons of colorful fish, and the highlight was seeing a spotted eagle ray! The water was the bluest blue, the visibility was fantastic, and the water was warm. Overall, it was a great experience for our family, including a first-time snorkeling child. Dani, the owner, was quick to respond to my questions and easy to coordinate with before the tour. Mario, our guide, was peppy and loves his job! Roatan was a day stop for us on a cruise; Mario drove us from/to the terminal; after snorkeling, we enjoyed lunch and beach time before heading back – Mario was very responsive to our needs. Having a guide for ourselves and only one other couple on the boat with their guide was a treat compared to other options. Note on equipment—they have Cressi brand equipment, which is good but used and better than other tours we’ve had. For reef protection, they did not provide fins, fyi, since we swim so close to it. I highly recommend the Roatan Tour Guide Association!Written July 28, 2024
- laurabZ1954YR0 contributionsEast End Tour and mangrovesWe had a very nice time with Mario who was our guide. He picked us up on time and drove responsibly and safely. He was very sweet and his enthusiasm was wonderful to be around! The drive going through towns to see the Roatán culture and Mario giving us some history on things was very informative. The mangroves were beautiful and the water was crystal clear. There was not a whole lot to see in the area you snorkel in but the water is lovely and refreshing. Lunch in Punta Gorda was tasty and we enjoyed watching the people move around their day in the little town. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day.Written July 25, 2024
- AbigailBee0 contributionsSuper fun and interesting bean-to-bar chocolate making experience! What a fantastic experience! Dani is so knowledgeable about the history of chocolate making and the growing and use of beans in Honduras. It was so interesting to learn about where in Honduras the chocolate beans come from, and how they are supporting local communities and ecosystems. Making the chocolate bars was so much fun and super hands on, we literally made our own chocolate from bean to bar, and it is insanely delicious! Excellent tour, highly recommend!Written July 22, 2024

This was one of the coolest things I've ever done! The crew made sure we had fun. We got to see various locations around the island, went snorkeling, and relaxed on the catamaran watching a beautiful sunset. Thanks Roatan Tour Guide Association for setting this up!

Nice trip, large boat, good atmosphere, good crew. I Could not do a 5-star because we only did one snorkel stop and paid for 2. They spent too much time stopping at a West End dock to get 1-1/2 cases of beer and another stop at a dock that supposedly was a freind of a paid guest on board?? I think someone on board was picky about the beer and paid the captain to do this?? At the location of the scheduled second snorkel stop, they tied up and said ok, 10 minutes? .........You can't get 27, "50 somthins" in and out of the water in 10 minutes much less a snorkle stop?? They advertised 14-18 on board and there ended up being 27 on our trip, that was not really a problem but I assume it requires more time at the snorkle stops? Other than that I would recommend, we just drew the short straw that day I guess?

Hi Dale, thank you for this review. However, you have posted to the wrong business. We don't do 2 spot snorkels on our Catamaran tours and upon checking, we've actually never had you as a customer. Also, just to be clear, if you see our product description, our Catamarans are actually advertised to be holding 40-70 people. I'm 100% sure you booked with someone else. But regardless, it seems like you had fun. Continue to relax, enjoy and remember you're on island time.
It would be really nice if you can delete this review to help us and to not misguide our potential guests.

The whole experience was great! Food and service were excellent. Guillermo, our driver, was there for pickup and delivery to the cruise ship port, right on time. The crew was helpful and attentive, and George the boat captain was professional and made sure our needs were addressed. Overall, highly recommend.

Excellent tour! Dani is an excellent communicator to get you to where you need to go. I strongly recommend booking a private tour away from the cruise port because you get a true local experience and the money goes more directly to the locals instead of back in the pocket of the cruise corporation. Our crew member Lindsay explained how hard COVID effected their economy and how important the tourist industry is to them. They were extremely hospitable and appreciative that we were there! The snorkeling is great and they keep the rum drinks flowing after the snorkel, very generous pours! Plus our driver Alonzo gave us an excellent extra tour of the island and we got to have a true local experience away from the cruise ships. I can't say enough about all parties involved. Book this tour!

Dani and his team are top notch. The coordination off the cruise ship was great, the catamaran crew was very friendly and the drinks food and snorkeling were excellent, and our driver gave us a real behind the scenes tour of the island for an excellent unique adventure. Book this tour! Private tours are where it’s at away from the cruise corporations, that way your money stays on the island with the locals!

We have traveled to Roatán every year over the past 6 years and this was the first year we made on the Catamaran, we can not believe we have been missing out this great tour. As a family we had 4 adults and 2 eleven year girls, we all had a great time. Added bonus Manuel was also a tour guide on the catamaran.

Beautiful day sailing to a gorgeous reef to snorkel and see fantastic fish and coral reef in Honduras. This was the best event of our trip. The staff was fantastic and the food and drinks were delicious! Really good snorkel gear helped as well. Cannot believe the amount of sea life experienced on this trip. Even heavy rain didn’t dampen the experience one but!

Overall great! Dani's driver Mario was fantastic, super nice and informative. He picked us up from our hotel and we left out of west end around 2 and came back around sunset. The food was a super good chicken kabob and had chips/salsa, lots of drinks (beer/liquor). I was a little disappointed that the net on the catamaran was gone, but it was fine cause we ended up dancing on it. And the snorkel stop wasn't really good, we saw more fish and just as clear water just off the shore. A little pricey at $165 but overall good!
