- 1When your cruise ship docks, your guide will transfer your small group to Roatan Island’s tropical jungle to begin your leisurely eco-walk through the Caribbean forest canopy. Stroll along paved pathways, up wooden steps and across eight uniquely designed suspension bridges – varying in length from 150 to 200 feet (45 to 60 meters). Take in the amazing views from 20 to 85 feet (6 to 26 meters) above the ground as you learn about Roatan’s flora and fauna from your guide.

- Mrshooks350 contributionsBirthday zip line 🎂This was my first zip line experience and It did not disappoint! The Crew was awesome and explained everything thoroughly before we began. They were also very friendly and they had a great sense of humor. I felt safe the entire time, If you ever come to Roatan, this is a must do!Written November 16, 2024
- Sharni T0 contributionsAMAZING EXPERIENCEMy family and I booked the Canopy Tree Zip line tour, this was an incredible experience! Our tour guide Jack Sparrow was awesome! Headed the whole experience fun, entertaining and was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. His helpers dancer and two trainees were all super encouraging and worked hard to make sure we got the best out of the experience! Definitely give them your phone and pay the $25 for them to take photos of you, the videos and photos came out amazing. I 100% recommend this experience 11 ziplines altogether with incredible views! Thank you so so much for such a great experienceWritten August 25, 2024
- angelazV4808KC0 contributionsEnjoying the beautiful views on Honduras while sailing through the sky!!We had a great time on this zip-line tour! They did a great job of keeping us safe and there was a photographer onsite that took our pics while on the lines. Pricing was reasonable.Written March 21, 2024
- Coldmount290 contributionsGreat Time With South Shore AdventuresRetired couples went zip lining, eco walk, and west bay beach. We were on NCL cruise and had 9 hours ashore. South Shore transported us to and from all locations, great job Alvin. Smooth transition all the way and returned to ship in plenty of time. We zipped with Capt Jack Sparrow and Kevin Hart, a most excellent experience. Then Nora took us on an eco walk where we learned much about the ecology of the area. A short drive to West Bay to Paradise Resort for some time in the ocean and snorkeling. Regrettably our time was short for the ocean part of the tour. If we had to do it again, we likely would have skipped the eco walk to spend more time with snorkeling. Cie la vie, you live and learn. We had a great time and it was well worth the money. Thank you South Shore Adventures.Written March 9, 2024
- sarahlT2523YI0 contributionsEpic experienceThe zip lining experience alone was epic, but the real star of the show was the staff. Impeccably safety conscious, friendly, and fun. They are totally dedicated to creating your ideal experience. Highly recommend.Written February 17, 2024
- rt18660 contributionsJust beautiful!First time zip-liner and 60 year old woman here. This was a fun, exciting, terrifying trip. It started with a 30 minute bus ride out of the city of Roatan. After gearing up in harnesses, gloves and helmets we were taken to a training line to learn how to brake and land on the platform. We were also given instruction in how to interpret the hand signals the guides could give us while on the cables (slow down, straighten out). There were 11 or 12 platforms with lines in many different lengths, and a guide on every platform. After the first couple lines I was able to take a deep breath and look around (the first ones were just me looking straight ahead holding on for dear life). Once I relaxed a little I was able to enjoy each ride. The views were absolutely stunning in every direction. At no point did I feel unsafe. The guides offered to go with me tandem if necessary. They were very helpful and skilled. I wore a t-shirt and bike shorts. I would not recommend short-shorts or loose-fitting clothing. The harnesses go around your thighs, torso and shoulders and those clothes may make them uncomfortable. Close-toed shoes are required. We started at the top of a mountain range and zipped to the bottom, requiring a ride back up the mountain in an open buggy to get back to our starting point. They did take pictures which were offered for sale, and were selling t-shirts from a small shop. There were little kids in our group, but it is not for anyone with physical disabilities. There are steps up to every platform, no ramps and no handrails anywhere (it's Mexico). This was a fun excursion from a Norwegian cruise ship. Very well organized.Written February 6, 2024
- jessn8330 contributionsWonderful experience!! Highly recommend! We loved our experience at South Shore Zipline! The staff provided excellent service! They made sure we were comfortable and communicated well. I myself am a bit afraid of heights but our guides made sure that I was excited and not scared! We highly recommend South Shore to anyone who loves an intense adrenaline rush!! Be sure to include a Zipline experience with them during your trip!Written January 27, 2024
- U89980 contributionsDo not miss this opportunity!Everything about this tour was amazing!! The views are beautiful. The safety equipment and briefing put you at ease (even for someone who has issues with heights, like myself). All of the guides were helpful, friendly, encouraging and funny. The photos they took were great quality. What *really* made this tour for me though was the dedication and kindness our main guides Harry and Naun showed my brother. They were made aware of his apprehension and developmental challenges and nothing more needed to be said or explained. They immediately took charge, stuck with him on every single line and made it a thoroughly enjoyable time for everyone. So much so that he even continued on and finished the last two optional lines!! Harry and Naun, you are amazing, thank you so much!!!!Written January 13, 2024
- Laurawn0 contributionsZip and DipSouth Shore Zipline was our favorite excursion. We arrived on a RCL cruise ship but easily found the booth for South Shore and they took care of us. We did not book through the cruise ship. The views were amazing. We always felt safe. There were 14 in our group who had booked this excursion on our own and we quickly bonded. There were 200 people coming from the cruise ships after us. We had a wonderful experience! I have 2 boys 8 and 10 and they made sure my 8 year old could make it across the zipline, sometimes they would go with him to make sure. Everything was great! They have lockers for rent for $2. They take pictures of you and you can buy the digital copies for $30. Several people in our group took their phones in a pouch around their neck and I wish I had done that also. We took bug spray but I didn't have any problems with bugs. They went over safety procedures and made sure we were following the rules. I never felt concerned for our safety. We also went to the beach so we did the Zip and Dip. Some people did the superman zip line and highly recommended it.Written January 9, 2024
- jond3150 contributionsFirst time on a zip line. Very easy to do.Staff was helpful safety conscious. Spectacular view of the jungle canopy and ocean. Try to avoid times when cruise ships are in, can be very busy. We went in early morning and finished in about an hourWritten January 5, 2024
- OliverR_130 contributionsGreat ziplines, consider skipping the eco-walkAmazing ziplines, loved the zuperman which included 2 lines where you lie face forward fly like superman down the lines! I booked directly w/ the company for the all adventures combo which cost $90 for the ziplines, eco-walk, and the zuperman. This saved me some money rather than booking w/ the cruiseship, and included transport to and from there to roatan port for my RCL cruise. If i had to choose again, i'd skip the eco-walk. Even though it's only a $10 charge above the $80 for the ziplines and zuperman, my brother and I felt it really slowed the vibe down. The bridges you go on aren't aren't thrilling at all and really this portion of the tour felt more like a nature walk. Our guide for this section was highly knowledgable, and shared her experiences with using the natural resources of the area as medicine and food, but it was like a whole different type of experience from the thriling ziplines (and compared to other suspension bridges i'd experienced elsewhere in the past).Written January 2, 2024

- jeffg99999990 contributionsPerfect zip lining experienceAmazing experience at South Shore Ziplines. Our guides Cedrick and Terrell were both great guys who made the experience so much fun. The zip lines themselves are great. They are big and have amazing views. The whole place is very well run. They even had a photographer taking pictures for us and then emailing us each picture later that day. If you are looking for some adventure, i strongly recommend this company.Written November 23, 2023
- Climber387656950850 contributionsThe best time everTerrell and Raymond were so amazing. We had the best time with them. I was shaking with fear before I started, but they made me feel so comfy and safe. Thankful for this experience! Highly recommend you meet these guys ❤️🙏🏽Written September 27, 2023
- christycG4390OJ0 contributionsBring extra cash!!! Worth it all!WOW!!! Perfect for someone who loves adventure but not quite ready to jump out of an airplane! I felt perfectly safe with experienced tour guides. Something no one tells you is to bring plenty of smaller bills. There are about 8-10 guys to tip and they deserve it! Also there are photographers, bus drivers, and guides on the buses. So much fun!!!Written August 30, 2023

Great time! Transport from port included. 1 hour in rainforest walking bridges. Need to be steady on your feet. Stairs and slippery. But great for our kids 6 & 8 who weren’t into ziplining just yet. Then transported us to Paradise Beach Resort where we received a day pass. Beachfront restaurant, chairs, pool, showers etc included. Locals selling on the beach are fairly aggressive but kind if you
just say no thanks. I did take advantage of a cheap massage on the beach. Got a few souvenirs. Transport picked us up in plenty of time to get back for gangway up. Would love to return to zipline! Overall a great time and worth the money to have everything organized and transportation was seem less.

We are happy you enjoyed the Eco-walk and Suspension Bridges Tour as well as zip-lining. You came during rainy season, so it gets a little slippery during this time. We are happy you enjoyed Roatan, the beach and most of all the experience at South Shore Zip-line Adventures.

We did the jungle walk with the suspension bridges and it was great--the guide was very friendly and knew what she was talking about. It was a lot of fun and great for all ages--we had a couple of little girls in our group and there was even someone in her 80's and all had a good time.

Our family of 8 enjoyed the zip line experience we had through our South Shore Excursions while in Roatan Honduras on a NCL cruise. The ZIPS were wonderful. Safety first was stressed and our guides were excellent at getting us on and off the platforms. The equipment was in great shape, and the views were amazing. Lots of fun as we did the 11 zips. We also enjoyed our eco tour and beach break. Great memories.

Karen,
We are very happy you enjoyed both tours here at South Shore. Not many people talk about the Eco-walk tour but it is very informative and unique as we are the only Suspension Bridges tour on Roatan. Combine that with a zip-line experience and you have a blast!

This was BANANAS! What a way to get an adrenaline rush! This was definitely the highlight of my trip! The staff was super professional and attentive. SAFETY FIRST! Bilingual people, made sure they communicated effectively as I was getting anxiously scared of heights. Needless to say, I loved it! I definitely recommend it, it is a MUST do activity if you ever make it to this paradise they call ROATAN 😍

The suspension bridges were neat our guide gave us so many interesting facts about the trees and healing properties for each. There were termite mounds in the trees wish we would have seen more wildlife a few birds, a centipeed and some fire ants. The beach break was fun had a lovely pool and a fun restaurant bar and included use of beach chairs and umbrellas.

Rosie. Thanks for the Nice Review. The Eco-walk and Suspension Bridges are getting more common and are built very Eco-friendly. We are sorry you did not get to see so much wildlife during your time but sometimes that is the way it is. We do Look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Thanks.

We appreciate your kind review and very happy and proud that you enjoyed the Eco-walk and Suspension Bridges Tour. Most people come for zip-lining alone but the suspension jungle walk gives you a different view and perspective of the environment around us. Thanks again.

While rest of family ziplining took the 4 year old on ecowalk. Guide Avinia was great and pointed out traditional medicinal plants explaining the use for each. Saw few critters as it was a rainy day. Avinia was very attentive to 4 year old and showed her things appropriate for her age (bugs). 4 year old loved the bridges, especially the "bouncy part"!

Theresa,
We are happy you enjoyed the Eco-walk and Suspension Bridges tour. The day you came it was very rainy so you probably didn't see a whole lot of Iguanas and animals. We look forward to having you here in the near future.
