I have been on many tours with Valerie and Due South in Guatemala, and have never had anything but exceptional service. This high standard continued on Due South’s first international tour to Peru. It was absolutely magnificent. Valerie used her extensive contacts to get a local operator planning us all the best activities with the best guides. Seriously, our guide at Machu Picchu has published a book on the ruins - you can’t get much more expertise than that! Every day was full of fun cultural activities viewing the sights as well as more hands-on activities like cooking classes and horseback riding. We had fun and we learned all kinds of interesting information without it ever feeling like learning. Highlights (aside from the Main Attraction - I’ve been looking forward to Machu Picchu for 30 years and it was still absolutely magical) included: walking tours in Lima and Cusco, visiting a women’s cooperative to learn about traditional weaving and dying methods (and to buy their wares), visiting the strangest salt mine I’ve ever seen, snuggling with baby alpacas, visiting an organic farm to learn about ancient farming practices still in use, and the train to Machu Picchu which was an experience all by itself! Valerie and her partner Matt also saved me from near disaster when I left my passport on said train, and by pooling their resources and contacts to get my passport back to me the next day (when I was in too much of a panic to be of much use). I am forever grateful and can’t recommend Due South enough. Valerie lives for what she does and it’s clear in every travel experience I go on with her. I can’t recommend enough.

We loved our walking tour as we were only two people and we got extra attention. Luis was a great guide who clearly loved his City.

Excellent walking tour with knowledgeable, friendly and considerate guide, Luis. Totally enjoyed this two-hour tour; learned a lot about the history of this beautiful area, its people and culture. Luis speaks several languages, but he's also gracious and patient enough to let you practice your Spanish (if that's not your native language.)

Amazing experience, safe driver and got me and dad to the airport safely and on time. Our pick up was at 7am and he came at the right time. I felt comfortable riding in the van and everyone was nice. The driver got my luggage out the back. Great experience no complaints

I really enjoyed this trip! I am a woman travelling alone so safety is always a concern. But I felt very safe during both my trip to and from Antigua alone with my driver, Jimmy, and throughout the tour. Upon arrival, my group consisted of the guide and a Spanish speaker tourist. Our guide was incredible. He explained everything slowly in Spanish first (Spanish is my second language), and then would clear up any questions I had in English immediately after. He was very knowledgeable about all parts of the ruins, and I loved that he is of Mayan descent so gave a more personal side to the information. The small group size was ideal and allowed for us to get all of our questions answered and go at a comfortable pace. I highly recommend this tour for those who love history and want a chill activity to do.

I was a bit nervous about how we would get from the airport to our hotel in Antigua. I found this option and decided to book. I'm definitely glad we chose this option. Great communication! They sent a message with their name and let me know they received our details and would be vigilant on our arrival so that they can be there to pick us up when we arrive. This made me feel relieved to know they are communicating. They then sent a msg when we arrived welcoming us and letting us know where they will wait for us and the phone # where we can reach them. They also sent a message letting us know the name of the driver who was already at the airport waiting for us. Sure enough, he was there waiting. Gustavo was super polite, friendly, and informative. He gave me so many suggestions of where to visit. Excellent Transportation Service! Definitely recommend. I will definitely use them again! Note: They only have sedans, so they cannot transport big groups. But for couples and 3, maybe 4 ppl, this is a great option.

Tons of variety in this walking tour. Get local recommendations for restaurants or experiences during your stay in Antigua as well as learning some history and language as well. Pacing is leisurely and inclusive for the group, and the guide, Luis, was kind and knowledgeable. Would recommend.

We used this company for three or four shuttles and taxis and every time they were well organised, turned up as expected and got us to the destination in good time. Their responses to pick-up confirmations and clarification of locations was also really good - really quick and spot on. They organised a private taxi locally to meet up with another of their shuttles, and the taxi they selected was also reliable. Seats in the middle row was quite tight (I'm 6ft 3in...), but the ones we had on the other shuttles with them were fine. Prices were reasonable as well, so would definitely recommend.
