        Different and Worthwhile
Driver was phenomenal even in crazy traffic. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as well. We rode horses up a volcano and hiked a bit. Once we got to the top, it was certainly a bucket list experience. Having pizza from a lava rock is cool

Great people + the best pizza
The conductor of the shuttle, Mario, was so sweet and efficient in getting us through the Guatemala City traffic to the base of the volcano. Our guide was informative and patient with our pace. I got to ride on a horse named “Muñeco” up the volcano which was so much fun! The Pacaya Pizza made by David was probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. 10/10 experience.

Frustrating Tour in Antigua: Guide Lacked Professionalism and Sensitivity
We wanted to feedback about our recent tour in Antigua Guatemala on Saturday April 27, 2024, half day - private tour. This was a time sensitive tour as we had to return to our cruise ship, SilverSea (Silver Nova) by 4pm. As seasoned travelers who value professional guided tours, this experience was uniquely disappointing and we believe specific instances from our tour will illustrate why improvements are necessary. Ignoring Client Preferences: We had specific ideas about where we wanted to eat and what we wanted to see, but our guide dismissed these requests. Despite multiple attempts to direct him to our chosen shopping destinations, he insisted on taking us to another location, which then forced us to walk to our desired shopping destination. Obtrusive Behavior: At each site, he positioned himself in front of us, blocking views while pointing out mundane objects without providing any historical context or educational value. His commentary was often repetitive, pointing out the obvious, such as "look, this building is very old, very old", which did not enhance our understanding of the locations visited. Lack of Privacy: The guide's presence was overbearing. For instance, in the restaurant at the Porta Hotel, he chose to sit continuously within our view, observing us as we ate, which was highly uncomfortable. His subsequent behavior was equally unprofessional; he took tourist-like photos in the lobby, which delayed us further as he lost track of where he had parked the car. Disregard for Time Management: After the meal, when it was clear we were pressed for time, the guide was unable to locate the car promptly, insisting it was "just around the corner." This led us to decide to walk to our next destination out of necessity, not preference—a choice he seemed to misunderstand as a casual decision rather than a frustration-driven necessity. These specific examples reflect a broader issue of professionalism and sensitivity to our needs, which were not met during our tour. The guide’s knowledge was inadequate, in addition his delivery and conduct were neither professional nor considerate. Furthermore, we would like to reiterate our appreciation for the driver, who was both polite and efficient, contrasting sharply with our experience of the guide. We have attached a photo of the guide for your reference, as we do not recall his name. We trust that you will address these issues promptly to prevent future clients from having similar experiences. Thank you for considering our feedback.

        wonderful antigua adventure
this is one of the very few trips that allows you to sign up solo for a collective/shared tour. i was one of 3 on this occasion. our guide for the day, christian, was incredibly generous with his breadth of knowledge of antigua and guatemalan history. our journey started at 8:05am on the dot in guatemala city and made it to antigua by 9:30am. the tour took us to some beautiful colonial architectural gems: a hill overlooking antigua, stunning dilapidated churches and convents and a jaunt through the national museum of art of guatemala. christian was patient as we meandered in and out of shops. even allowing me to suggest a cute boutique coffee shop for the group. i highly recommend this tour!

Please use this company. Ask for Reuben.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but from pickup to drop-off, our tour was nothing but amazing. We had the pleasure of having a private tour with Carlos as our driver and Reuben, our tour guide. They were on time, friendly, and just amazing people to spend the day with. Reuben has a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of Guatemala, which he shared with us along the way. I think he has a secret talent for photography as well as he helped us take pictures the whole day. Hands down the best walking tour I've been on. Thank you, Carlos and Reuben.

They took care of everything making our visit to Semuc Champey awesome and relaxing!
I have wanted to go to Semuc Champey with my dad and my son for a while now. As someone who grew up in Guatemala but has lived in the US for over 15 years, sharing my absolute favorite place in Guatemala with people I love has been a big dream of mine. But the truth is that planning a trip for my family to a place like Semuc Champey takes a lot of work. That's where Guat2do Travel Experiences came to the rescue! When we decided to go on our adventure to Semuc Champey, I knew I needed someone who could handle all the details and create an experience that would be suited for both my 78-year-old dad and my teenage son. Guat2do really came through and went above and beyond. Right from the start, it was clear that they were dedicated to making our trip amazing. They listened to what we wanted and made a custom day tour from Coban that was just perfect for our family. They handled everything—like transportation, entrance fees, and a fantastic guide who shared information about Semuc Champey and even took the best photos. And the lunch they set up for us was delicious and just what we needed for our adventure! But the best part of booking our tour with Guat2do was how much they cared about our safety and comfort the whole time. With them leading the way, we could relax and focus on making memories as a family, knowing that every little thing was taken care of. They really made our trip to Semuc Champey a fantastic experience!
