We chose Edwin as our guide based upon the wonderful reviews we read. Edwin lived up to his reputation. He was always prompt and courteous. We were able to customize our tour without any problems. He shuttled us from the airport to our lodging, took us on 3 days of area tours, explained the Mayan history of the area to us, pointed out things we would have never noticed on our own, fed us an authentic Belizean lunch that his mother made, let us have free time to explore, always had water bottles along, then shuttled us to the water taxi for the beach part of our trip. His vehicles were clean, ran well, and had good air conditioning. His staff were very courteous, dressed well, and drove safely. If you are going to San Ignacio, I highly recommend Edwin.

# Excellent Tour Guide Experience in Belize Edwin was an outstanding tour guide during our recent trip to Belize. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. We booked a tour package with Edwin that included an ATM cave exploration and a horseback ride to the Mayan ruins at Xunantunich. Edwin's expertise really shone through - he provided fascinating historical and cultural insights at every step, and was clearly passionate about sharing the wonders of Belize with us. Edwin drove us from the airport to San Ignacio, providing great information and teaching us the history, culture, and social customs of the country and villages. He also arranged for tours of the ATM CAVE (Francisco was a terrific cave guide, ensuring our safety was number one. Francisco was patient and extremely knowledgeable about the cave, Mayan history, and more). Edwin also brought us a delicious lunch to eat after the three hour cave tour. Day 2, Edwin arranged for and drove us to a horse stable for horseback riding through the jungle into town where we ate at a local restaurant before climbing the hills to Xunantunich. Edwin walked with us, providing great details of the history of the Mayans and the actual ruins we were walking around. He is a wealth of information! The Tikal Tour was amazing! Edwin's guide Sergio met us at our vacation rental upon checkout, guided us to secure parking for our rental car, and took us to the border to Guatemala. Sergio guided us across the border and met the other tour van on the Guatemala side. Sergio accompanied us through the whole day, arranged lunch and guided the Tikal ruins tour. He was friendly, patient, knowledgable and professional! Sergio even walked us to our hotel in Flores where we stayed the night. We couldn't have asked for a better guide! The next day our pickup driver was there at the appointed time to take us back to the border into Belize. Edwin met us and drove us back to San Ignacio. It was all seamless, comfortable (as comfortable as could be as there was extreme heat in Belize at the time!) and accommodating. We would highly recommend Edwin's for your tours in Belize and Guatemala.

Went to ATM Cave with family. Edwin arranged everything and we were so grateful for a knowledgeable guide. Lunch afterwards was fantastic. Hassle free and kids are still taking about the adventure.

Absolutely fantastic tour. We were fortunate and had Jorge de Leon (the Lion) as our guide. He was a rockstar. He got us through the border with ease and without headache. I usually try to do things on my own to save a little, but I am so glad I didn't try this time. I speak Spanish and am comfortable in Latin American countries, but the extra headache of the border crossing was so much easier that it alone made me grateful I booked the excursion. But beyond the crossing, Jorge was awesome. My teenage daughter had a mild allergic reaction and was anxious and Jorge recognized it, stopped at a pharmacy, bought medicine with Guatemalan currency, and got us back on the road. Jorge clearly has a passion for Mayan culture and history. He knows his stuff and loves to answer all questions. He was great with my kids. Nothing but great things to say.

We did 2 tours with Edwin--Caracol and Barton Creek Cave. Edwin was a very knowledgeable and fun guide. He picked us up, provided a delicious lunch on our full-day tour, and made both experiences very enjoyable. We learned A LOT from him and would contact him again if we return to Belize.

We did the ATM tour, zip line and cave tubing at Jaguar Paw and a hike with Edwin. We had such an amazing time with him and learned sooo much! He was full of information and was a pleasure to spend our days with. I can not recommend him enough! Bonus when you get to have his mom's cooking 😊

We went with Edwin's team for transport from Hopkins to San Ignacio, as well as a tour of the Caracol ruins. Our driver to San Ignacio, Monica, was very thoughtful and friendly and made the drive go quickly (even with multiple stops due to a visit from the Taiwanese president's motorcade). Edwin led our family's tour to the Caracol archeological site. He is very knowledgeable about Mayan myths and history, as well as medicinal and edible plants at the site. His mother cooked us a delicious picnic lunch, which we enjoyed at the end of our tour. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience in Belize and Edwin's Belize Adventure Tours was with us nearly every day of our trip, for both guided tours and transfers. Before we booked, Edwin was available to answer all of our questions via email quickly. When we landed in Belize someone was there to pick us up and every day our guide arrived early to our hotel for the days activities. All of their vehicles were clean and comfortable. Edwin and the other tour guides were very knowledgeable with information and history of what we were seeing. This was a very well organized company and everyone we dealt with from before we booked to when they dropped us off at the airport was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We saw lots of great Mayan ruins and had an amazing trip thanks to them. I can definitely recommend booking with Edwin and his team - you won't be disappointed!

Edwin Gonzalez took us on an amazing adventure down to the Caracol Mayan Ruins in western Belize. They are my second favorite Mayan ruins after only the huge site at Tikal in Guatemala. The road is long and bumpy to get there, but it is worth the effort and Edwin drove very carefully. While the ruins are quite extensive, since they are a bit out of the way, you pretty much have them to yourselves and they are worth the drive. Edwin is also an excellent historian and extremely knowledgeable about this and other sites. He also provided us with an tasty picnic lunch. Should I find myself again in that part of Belize I would definitely travel again with Edwin to return to Caracol.
