Amazing Tour!
We had the most amazing time with Dimas on our Xuanantunich tour. His knowledge of the site, excavation and restoration was extensive and he was also quick to point out any critters we saw along the way. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any monkeys— But, I must say Dimas made a valiant effort, he even brought us on a hike through the jungle back to our vehicle in hopes of spotting them. Additionally, he was more than happy to snap (more than) a few pictures for us :-)

Everything from the booking and organization with JP, reminder/confirmation, and pickup was well worth 5 stars. We will most certainly book again with Cayo Inland Exhibitions next time we come to Belize.

Also, book a private tour if you can! We chose a 7:45a pickup to try and beat any potential crowd and we’re so glad we did! We had the site to ourselves for a bit in the morning. A little later large groups of 20-30+ began arriving. We’re so thankful to have had a tour all to ourselves!

Thank you Dimas and JP for an amazing experience!

Absolutely worth the trip
Wow. We had the most experienced guide from Viator named O’Neil. He knew everything from the history to the flora around us to the current struggles with the politics around the country. It was incredible and so informative and yet really fun. He had a great sense of humor and his love for his country really showed. Highly recommend.

Stone Lady
Oct 2019 • Friends
We had a great time visiting Xunantunich (stone lady)
with One of GOmaya tour guides Pedro. I enjoyed learning about the Mayan’s King history and climbing to the very top! My friends were afraid of heights so they didn’t go as high as I did but it was worth every moment!!

Can't Miss Mayan Ruins
Feb 2019
If you like history, you'll love the Xunantunich Mayan ruins. For being centuries old, they are very well preserved. I loved climbing to the top of the highest ruin and looking out over the surrounding countryside - although not for the faint of heart.

This company is fantastic. They handled our ATM cave tour, our tour of the Ruins and our transportation to and from the airport.
Everything was easy and super friendly. Ask for Cisco and Jam Jam (tour guides).
I'm so glad I used them.

Beautiful ruins in sunny Belize

Francisco was knowledgeable and fun, and we had the best time. What a marvelous site. Cisco had a lot of stories about how Belize handles the archaeological digs, and what we may still learn. Lots of stuff to climb, if that's your thing. The hospitality in Belize is top notch.

Awesome views!
Jun 2019
The road leading up to the park is a very long one to walk, so be prepared if you choose to walk it. If you hire a tour guide they will drive you, but I didn't, so I walked. The views from up top of "El Castillo" are amazing! There were not many people at all, so it was very nice to be able to take my time and take in the views. If you are interested in learning about the ruins then I suggest hiring a guide. I didn't hire one, but kind of wish I did for that reason.

Far More Than We Were Expecting!
May 2019 • Family
So when we booked this trip, we were under the impression that we would be picked up and added to another group coming from Belize City. We were fine with that. However, Gizel (maybe spelling it incorrectly?) showed up all alone, I was worried at first. Then we found out we were getting a private, guided tour! I was very excited.

Gizel was an excellent guide. She was the perfect mix of humor and wit as well. My family can tend to get a bit sarcastic at times 🙄 but she rolled with it flawlessly. She was very knowledgeable of the ruins and surrounding wildlife that we encountered. She even showed us what the termites taste like! We got the chance to see a tarantula, howler monkeys, various fauna and birds, and she was able to educate us on all of these plus many of the trees around us.

Even the teens were impressed after the trip. If Cayo Inland Expeditions does all their tours like this, you are in for a treat. Enjoy!

Incredible!
Mar 2019 • Couples
I am writing to give you a positive review of this excursion to Xunantunich. My biggest concern was getting back to the ship on time since this was such a long excursion. Both Stacy, who checked us in, and Garrett, our tour guide, assured us that we would be back in time, and we were. This tour was incredible. I was so glad that we booked it with you. I loved being in a small group and not on a bus with a ton of people. Garrett was absolutely incredible. The drive was long, but Garrett talked the whole way giving us a ton of information. He was a confident driver and got us around as quickly as he possibly could! The hike up the ruins was absolutely beautiful. Lunch at Hode's Place was delicious. I really enjoyed driving through the country and seeing what we could. I highly recommend this tour.
