    Great experience
It was a really interesting tour. The cave is huge and full of impressive formations and artifacts. They aren't allowing cell phones or cameras inside so it was disappointing to not have pictures, but it was nice to just live in the moment for awhile. Lunch was good, surprising how hungry you get swimming through the water. Socks are needed for the dry part of the cave, you have to take off your shoes; some of the sharp rocky parts were a little painful to walk on! Our guide Manuel was great. They did not provide towels, so don't forget to bring one. The company is fantastic and is very responsive to questions via whatsapp. Recommend them for sure.

Don’t wait - book this ATM cave tour now!
My wife and I had an amazing time on this guided ATM tour. The day started at 7:30am with our driver Marlon and our guide Gliss picking us up from our resort in San Ignacio. We picked up another adventurer and from there went to ATM. The roads were super turbulent, but our driver did an amazing job, no incidents whatsoever. From there, we were provided helmets equipped with headlights and our journey began with our experienced guide. Gliss was extremely knowledgeable about Mayan history and made us feel very safe as we traversed the river and navigated the complex, historic ATM cave. It was an experience we will never forget. Remember to bring a pair of closed-toed shoes with socks (there’s a portion of the cave that you walk around in just socks) and regular swimming clothes (modest). No sunglasses, hats, phones allowed. When you return, have an extra pair of clothes plus shoes you can change into. Our driver had set up a delicious lunch table with rice, chicken, cole slaw - made by a local Belizian. Yum! Key things that really set this tour apart: 1. You are picked up directly from your resort, which is great if you don’t have your own transportation to meet the tour guide in one place. 2. Gliss is an amazing guide. He kept us entertained during the drive, walk up to the cave and was super knowledgeable and experienced showing us the cave.

    Leo Caracol Tour
Leo our guide has been leading tours for over 23 years and it shows. Leo was extremely knowledgeable about Mayan History, Belizian History, World Events and the local terrain. He speaks clearly and consise and can answer all of your questions related to Mayan history. I highly recommend touring Caracol or any of the other Tours Leo leads! It will be informative and high quality.

    Great educational site
Nice Maya adventure. The key to going here is to hire a great guide. We were staying at Mystic River Resort and booked a horseback ride up to the ferry, met our awesome guide Aaron, who was an amazing source of information on Caracol. Learned alot, saw everything at the site in about 2 hours. I have been to Tikal, a larger site, but Caracol was no disappointment. Took my 11 and 13 year boys, they we glad they could scale the grand stairs and "look down on the countryside like Mayan kings"! Highly recommend.

    Terrific Tikal Tour!
Tikal is an enormous Mayan City and this tour brings you to the must see and experience highlights, after you’ve learned the rich history and stories from incredible Guatemalan Guides. We were luck to spend our day with Willy, who is a genuinely amazing human and Mayan tour guide. Pick up and drop off around the borders was very straight forward. Lunch was incredible (really!) and the stop at the souvenir shop was actually a value add as it had a large 3D map of Tikal grounds to study and, really great free coffee. Bonus: you (can) see lots of native animals on the tour too! Pro Tips: Eat breakfast, bring a snack, bring water, bring a pen. You only need $20 US to cross the Belize border.

    Great Experience!
This tour was amazing! Eduardo and Sergio were very knowledgeable and personable. Eduardo drove us to and from the border and while he did, he taught us so much about Mayan ruins within Belize, Belizean history and his home town. Sergio was our Guatemalan tour guide. He was so easy going and knowledgeable about Tikal and the Mayan culture. We were treated to some delicious Guatemalan coffee and lunch. The entire experience was amazing and easy. Shout out to our Guatemalan driver Miguel who got us there safe.

    Great day!
Great guide and excellent site, but not enough time. Learned a lot, but there was still plenty to see. Would have liked another hour to see more. We stopped to long to talk wher we could have walked and talked.

    Tikal in a Day
A wonderful tour of just 8 people. The transfer across the border was fairly easy; the guides are there to help you. The guide who picks you up in San Ignacio drops you off and gives you the names of the guide/guides on the Guatemalan side after you get your passport approved at booth 1, and viewed again and stamped at booth 2 (you MUST stop at both booths). There is a fee here as well, paid at the first booth. Tikal itself is impressive, and I think part of that is how the tour is organized so you see the biggest temples/courtyard last. If you've seen other large temples, like Chicken Itza, these ruins aren't as big but still impress and have that distinctive, narrower design. It was also a nice surprise to see much of the area still covered in jungle. It was a hot and humid 107F when we were there, and the shade was a huge relief. It also allowed us to see a few unique species of birds, including a few toucans, some spider monkeys, and a coati. You have enough time to see the major sites, and for most people I think that would be enough. You have the option of climbing a few of the temples, though not directly (there are wooden stairs built beside them to get you to the top). And one of them gives Star Wars fans that classic but brief view on Yavin-4 from A New Hope, which is a highlight all it's own. Our guide (I should have written down his name, so sorry) was very organized, personable, and really made an effort to keep people informed. He answered questions and helped to make sure we all got good, long looks at the toucans calling to each other. We stopped for lunch after the tour, so be prepared for a late lunch at around 2pm or so. The lunch was very good and a little different than the standard fare we got on other tours from San Ignacio; instead of a one dish serves all, we were given a few choices and I think everyone enjoyed what they had. Crossing back to Belize is even easier than leaving it was, and then you're dropped off after a very cool (and yet very hot) day.

    Lives up to the hype!
A must do tour in your trip to Belize! This ATM cave tour is a pretty cool experience from start to finish, wading through rivers, crawling through a cave, climbing up in to a huge cavern where ancient rituals were conducted, learning about the fascinating Mayan culture and seeing some truly amazing sights! We even saw an armadillo on the little hike back. Definitely go experience it for yourself! Our guide, Fernando was very experienced and so we felt safe and learnt so much on this trip. Lily cooked and served us a delicious lunch with plenty of Rum Punch and Marconi drove us there and back safely. Tips; 1. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed waterproof footwear for basically being wet for 3+ hours (not only swimming clothes), your dry clothes stay at the car so you can change into them before lunch. 2. Make sure you drink plenty of water before getting to the cave and be sure to use the ‘facilitrees’ when promoted to by your guide as wading through water in a dark cave for hours will make you want to use the restroom which is prohibited, so unless you want to have to use a plastic bag that you will need to carry, try to go just before you get to the caves. 3. Enjoy it!

    A must-do in Belize
Everything was wonderful. We were picked up promptly at the hotel. The tour was so amazing and fun. We had to swim, shimmy, climb and crawl. We all loved it. 3 late teens and myself all thoroughly enjoyed it. Fernando was a great guide. The lunch was delicious as well. An absolute must-do in Belize.

    Tikal Jungle Adventure
Our Guatemalan guide Marco was PHENOMENAL! Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and took so much time to answer our questions, point out interesting features, wildlife, and gave great historical context. We booked the Tikal trip through Viator and through Belize Family Adventure - it was incredible! Would highly recommend - an absolutely amazing jungle adventure rich in history and culture - if you book with Belize Family Adventure, ask for Marco as your guide on the Guatemalan side, you won’t be disappointed!

    Good tour, with one hiccup.
The trip was great. We had a very knowledgeable and personable guide! Lunch was very good as well. The only complaint is the tourist trap that they stop in on the Guatemala side. The excuse they use is " complimentary coffee ". The reality is, that gift shop is selling items at 2 or 3 times greater than cost. We could have done without that scam.

The excursion was outstanding! A great time was had by all. Aside from that, the booking company seriously needs to work on organization. I took off one star for poor management. In reality I could take off more because the trip never would have happened if I didn’t keep contacting them for excursion day logistics. Advice- contact them early and often for specific instructions. Once on the van everything is great.

The whole experience was awesome! It was a combination of an escape, but also an adventure. In certain parts of this experience, you felt like you were on a Discovery Chanel/National Geographic episode. Being from Southern California, I also felt like I was in a mix of an Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jungle Cruise movie. Overall, we had an absolute blast and recommend this to anyone.

Our guide was Leo and he was the best! He explained the various trees on our walks to the caves. It's was so beautiful and serene. And the watering hole/cave entrance that he took us to was breath taking.

After a quite a hike (longer than expected) through the jungle, we enjoyed a beautiful late morning/early afternoon swimming in the river and relaxing on the tubes as we floated through the caves and jungle. It was glorious!!
If you have water shoes, bring them. The rentals were not ideal (genetic crocs).
It was suggested that we not take our phone/cameras, but I do wish I would have rented a waterproof case from the vendor at the start as there were many photo ops throughout the tour.
All in all a wonderful relaxing adventure.
Would definitely recommend.

I never thought I'd be brave enough to go into a cave because I'm fairly claustrophobic. But Edward and Louis are professionals in every sense of the word. I had no concerns at all because each of them showed their expertise every step of the way. From Louis' entertaining stories about everything from the scientific to Mayan myths and Edward's steady and thoughtful guidance, I felt centered and relaxed the entire time. It was truly a one-in-a-lifetime experience for me.
