About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- blakebS236VU0 contributionsEverything we could have hoped for and more! This tour was amazing! Our guides, Jordan and Cyle, were real professionals. They shared so many interesting things about the reef and helped make sure we got to experience all the best parts possible. Definitely recommend.Written February 8, 2025
- DcBarber0 contributionsAwesome Snorkeling and great teamThe pier was a little difficult to find, but once we did, all was good. Allow an extra 5-10 minutes to park and find the pier. The staff and team were so welcoming and helpful during all aspects of the adventure. We enjoyed all aspects and things we saw. We actually had time for 3 stops, we had a stingray that came right up to us, and it allowed me to pet its head. We also spotted a spotted eagle ray. What a great sighting. The team members did videos and pictures through the event as well as were constantly telling us what fish we were seeing. I highly recommend using this company as your guide.Written February 8, 2025
- irenegC3230LS0 contributionsBest snorkeling tour ever!Cyle and Duane were absolutely outstanding. Their knowledge was extensive. They went above and beyond to accommodate our 4 diverse needs (we were on a private tour with 2 mother daughter pairs). We had several stops along the way, some scheduled and some detours to see a pod of dolphins! The final BONUS which was beyond our wildest dreams: they had a go pro and they sent us all the amazing videos and photos. We truly were blessed to have such an enriching experience. It was totally worth the private experience too.Written February 6, 2025
- 278erin0 contributionsGreat guides!Abraham and Dwayne were fantastic. The snorkeling was incredible. The water was very choppy by the reef, and we ended up getting a little seasick. That was certainly not the fault of the guides! They were terrific and responded immediately, taking care of us and getting us back to the boat safely. We felt very grateful! They were kind and respectful and made it a great experience despite the nausea. Can’t thank them enough for being so wonderful!Written February 4, 2025
- princess6920170 contributionsAmazing day on the waterAmazing day on the water. Our captain Glen was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Fantastic snorkeling and the stop at Caye Caulker was a great experience. The boat company was easy to communicate with and flexible if weather conditions were not going to cooperate, fortunately, we did not have to change anything, it was a beautiful day. I will definitely book with them again!Written February 4, 2025

We didn't plan on taking this tour with Ridge and Reef. We booked a Mexico Rocks snorkel, fishing and beach barbecue tour but the wind and the waves forced our guide, Marvin, to pivot and take us to Hol Chan Reserve and lunch on Caye Caulker instead. It was the right choice and this tour was fantastic. We got some great snorkeling in, we fished, we fed tarpons and we had a great local lunch on Caye Caulker.
The guy that made all this happen was Marvin. He got our fishing lines baited up again and again, told us stories of life on the Cayes and took us for the best snorkeling experience of our time in San Pedro. The weather and the sea and the wind were rough that day and I'm convinced we were lucky to have Marvin out there captaining our boat. Thanks for a great and memorable day.

It was a fun, all-day trip. Captains Abraham and Kyle were fantastic. They were very accommodating and kind. Kyle was great on our snorkeling stops to point out different sea creatures and tell us their names. Abraham was fantastic with handling the boat. Both captains were relaxed while being both professional and safety conscious. The lunch on Caye Caulker was delicious. Feeding the tarpon fish and seeing manatees were unexpected and welcome surprises. It was a great outing.

Nice trip with two fun and talented guides. The snorkling areas are beautiful although our time at each spot was too short. The next time I go on this trip, it will be on a catamaran which looks like it provides for easier access to/from water. Being on a small boat for 6 hours with 12 or 14 other people is a bit much.
The lunch is okay - nothing speacial. Also, the company advertising snacks -- it was a few orange slices and a pineapple pieces that did not go very far -- C'mon company, you can do better than that!

Overall great experience. I would highly recommend the full day tour. We had 5 stops each was unique. The guides were great and really focused on making sure we had a good time but also focused on safety. Hol chan was rougher in the morning so they passed it and came back at the end to make sure we were safe and still got to snorkel it. The snorkeling was really good but the Caye Caulker stop was an added perk my family loved. Part of the snorkeling was a guided in the water tour which was unique from other snorkeling tours I have done, the guides even helped us spot hidden spiny lobsters, turtles and more. My kids were glued to the guide as he handed them various shells and pointed out all sorts of creatures. My family of 4 including a 6 and 8 year old had a blast. If you want to do a full packed day and explore beyond Hol Chan and Shark Alley I would highly recommend this tour.

Thank you so much for such wonderful and detailed review. We are so happy to offer our services to Families, couples, friends, Singles or whoever wants to go and do our best each and every day to care for everyone. I am happy when the kids stay close to us as they are able to learn lots from the guides and take these experiences throughout life. Yes, Caye Caulker is a nice place and lots of our guests love this stop. At times we wish we could spend more time there but its already a long day and some guests wouldnt be happy of we did that so we try to balance the day as much as possible.

This is a wonderful excursion! If you get motion sickness…it could be rough, it is a smaller boat, but still worth it! We saw so many types of sea life, fish, sharks, rays, seahorses, a lobster and manatee! We snorkeled the reef, shark ray alley, another section of reef and the small reef where the manatee hang out!! Not a lot of frills on this excursion, which is what we prefer. I like to experience the culture of a place. They had fruit and beverages available on the boat. There were 2 of us sea sick, so the guides changed the plans and took us to Carye Caulker before the manatees to give us a break. We fed the tarpins (use the slow motion in your camera!) and our guide helped us find sea horses. For lunch we went to a small spot and enjoyed authentic Belizeian stewed chicken. We explored Caye Caulker for about an hour and a half before going to the manatee site. I was extremely sea sick, and did not get in at the manatee site, as the chances of seeing a manatee are about 50/50, then our guide waved me in, literally took me by the hand, and swam right to a manatee!! Absolutely amazing!! One of the coolest things I have done in my life. Worth every bit of sickness! A must do if you are in San Pedro!

Yes, this tour is a must do while vacationing here in San Pedro. We do our best to show our guests a wonderful time and the amazing creatures in our area.
Regarding the boat, we do operate a fleet of 4 boats and use the boat that best suits the number of guests and also consider the weather on the morning of the tour.
You are right we don't offer much frills on this tour, we make it very affordable but do have a nicer boat in our fleet that can be chartered for the day and customize your day.
Thanks a whole lot for spending a part of your vacation with our Team.

Cyle and Sunny were great guides and Cyle managed to steer through the windy and choppy waters today with confidence. They are professional and made sure everyone was safe in and out of the boat. We were given water and sodas and fresh fruit. Even though the conditions for snorkeling weren't the best, we still saw rays, sharks, fish nurseries, seahorse nursery, large and small fish of all kinds and we enjoyed it all. Though we didn't see a manatee, Cyle and Sunny found us some dolphins which they followed for us. Lunch was provided on Caye Caulker, then we took a walk on the main street and had time to take a dip off the beach to cool off. Then we got to feed Tarpons (keep your hand parallel to the water. I didn't and boy can they swallow a hand!) Guide Sunny is quite the comedian and kept us laughing and the people on board were friendly and talkative for a really fun day. I highly recommend Ridge and Reef Adventures with Cyle and Sunny!!

My partner and I really liked it. It is a tour where you visit many things, one after another without pause but without haste. I recommend choosing all day because it also includes visiting the island of Caye Caulker, where you are left for a couple of hours to explore.

We booked a full day tour of Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley, and a lunch stop at Caye Caulker, followed by tarpon feeding and looking at some seahorses. Every activity was a hit. The only meh activity was the seahorses. Abraham was fun and enthusiastic and a great knowledgeable guide. Communication prior to the day was great and very clear. A must do!

The full day snorkeling tour from San Pedro was well done! Even though we had 16 guests squeezed onto our boat, the guides were well organized and calm throughout the day and we never felt rushed at any location. We had warm temps and a smooth surf, which also helped. We made four snorkeling stops and were able to see something new on each, although we didn't see turtles or manatees on this trip. Then we explored Caye Caulker, seeing the seahorse habitat, feeding tarpons (fish) and frigates (birds), and lunch with Chef Karim's jerk bbq chicken was delicious. We felt this was a great variety of experiences for a great value!

Dangerous and illegal. Reef and Ridge Adventures asked us to move our booking from Monday to Tuesday telling us they didn’t have enough people for the tour that day. We moved around our vacation to accommodate them. The owner promised no more than 12 people and the boat accommodates 15. When the boat showed up, there would be 18 people on it counting my family. I was asked to sit on a storage container because there wasn’t enough room on the boat.
Needless to say, we did not complete the tour. Reef and Ridge Adventures has no problem overbooking their excursions and putting the safety of people at risk. They have several listings on here. Make sure your tour isn’t fulfilled by them. There are many available tours on the island.

As always we appreciate the feedback of everyone however we are unable to satisfy every desire.
Yes we asked if it was possible for the guest to go one day later because we didn't have the numbers to operate on their specific date, the guests can either accept or we have the right to cancel due to minimum number of guests not met, he decided to postpone one day.
We picked them up and he was upset from the inception.
During the Tour, a member of his family had an allergic reaction from sunscreen used the day before while at the beach and the boat took them back to their Resort after a discussion and everyone decided to stay and not continue their Tour but He asked if they could rebook and I agreed but needed to pay the park fees which he agreed to.
He was specific that he wanted to go on a day where we didn't have a full Boat so I worked things out for him. I told him I try to keep my groups at 12 but we can take up to 15 guests ( we are licensed for 20 inclusive of Crew).
We offer both private excursions at a slightly higher price and shared excursions.
He once again cancelled 2 hours before the trip and then wanted a refund, I didn't provide a refund and as such he decided to do his best to tarnish our reputation.
As a business, we do our best to provide exceptional tours and services each day and with more than 20 years in the Industry, this is my priority.
