- lljones20240 contributionsCapital Segway TourI have done this tour twice. The first time was an absolute blast, and I was so excited to do it again. Both times were during Police Week. The second tour was a major let down. It was lightly raining, and instead of rescheduling or refunding our money they rushed us out the door to start the tour, then promptly cancelled us. Very disappointed after having such a great experience the first time.Written September 11, 2024
- perkinsww0 contributionsGreat trip and lots of fun!Segway was great and the information passed was informative! Great value and lots of fun! Would definitely recommend the tour and we will schedule again.Written September 10, 2024
- tkirby5050 contributionsSegway tourThe Segway tour was amazing! The interesting facts that our tour guide shared and riding the Segway for the first time was the best and fastest way to see some important parts of Washington DC! Highly recommended!Written September 4, 2024
- Laurence O0 contributionsExcellent Tour for those who have limited time in DC!I learned so many interesting facts, trivia, and humor about many of the monuments/memorials/historical areas. Our tour guide Kat was engaging, helpful, and friendly! There is a learning curve to operating a Segway, but the staff was very helpful in getting us prepared.Written September 3, 2024
- Sophie R0 contributionsPerfect way to get around Washington with awesome tour guidesWe chose the tour because we only had one day in DC. It was the perfect way to explore the huge National Mall, the guides were very professional and funny and give you interesting information and opportunities to take pictures in all the important places. Overall, just a perfect experience!Written August 30, 2024

- riverhousefarm0 contributionsFantastic Tour and Great Customer ServiceThe day of our tour was rainy. Capital Segway Tours adjusted our scheduled time so we could enjoy the tour safely and in sunshine. Even gave us a gift certificate for one member of our party who couldn't go with us. Highly recommend this tourWritten April 30, 2024
- rhnelson20240 contributionsReally fun way to see DCTara was a really great tour guide! The process was very easy to get accustomed to riding a segway and we enjoyed the training. Tara was knowledgeable of the different sites, willing to answer questions, and was effective in clearing paths for the segways to go through. I would like for to speak more about black contributions in building DC, the King Memorial, and the African American Museum. Otherwise, great time!Written April 1, 2024
- kksukimt0 contributionsInformative and professionalRafi was an excellent guide! He led our group through extremely thick crowds of totally unaware obstacles (tourists)! You are in good care with Capital Segway tours!Written April 1, 2024
- Mike M0 contributionsA beautiful tourWe love tours on Segways. It's a great, fun way to cover a lot of ground. We had a great guide and were very glad we picked this way to get oriented to the National Mall in Washington D.C.Written March 26, 2024

- P1420SZjohnl0 contributionsNot as hard as you would think. When we booked this tour everybody was pretty excited. When we got to the facility a couple of us were a bit nervous having never riden a segway. The employees were very helpful and made sure we were comfortable and safe on the machines. I would say that within the first 10 minutes of the tour, everybody was pretty comfortable. Our tour guide, Nolan, was awesome. He was had a lot of information about our nation's capital without being an overbeing know it all type. He also has the ability dial that information up or down depending on what you want out of your tour. I would request him if you have the chance. Nolan, I hope the coffee washed out of the pants. Overall, we had a great time and would encourage anybody thing about it to book this tour. It is the best way to see the big monuments and structures in our nation's capital in two hours, hands down.Written March 25, 2024

- Susan A0 contributionsPerfect way to cover alot of groundReally enjoyed this tour. Although we were technically standing on the Segway, we were also moving frequently so it made hearing about the sites more interesting than being stationary. We covered much more ground than a walking tour and it was more fun than a riding tour. The 16 yo loved it and the 40-something mom caught on quickly to the Segway maneuvering. Tara was very interesting and personable!Written March 19, 2024

I booked this tour with some work friends and we had an absolute blast. The Segways were easier to use than I thought they would be, but more importantly, our two guides were beyond great. They lead us around DC and were full of historical knowledge and fun facts that made the trip ore interesting. We would do this again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this to anyone as a way better means of seeing the city.

If you are looking for something a little different to do, take the Segway tour. My son lives in DC and we were looking for something other than the normal tourist things to do. Neither of us have ever been on a Segway and the staff took the time to make sure each of us felt comfortable driving one before they let us outside.
The tour guide was great and we even learned some fun history about the city but the highlight was covering a large amount of distance in a comfortable and fun way. Driving the Segway is a blast and requires your full attention, but I was able to take some great videos while riding. Never felt unsafe or in danger. The guide did a great job of maintaining a safe speed for us.
This is definitely the best way to see the city.

This tour was recommended by a friend of ours who did it in June, and she did not oversell it. Ethan and Will were informative and highly entertaining guides. We hit all of the major points of interest we were hoping to see. First time on a Segway for both of us, but it won’t be our last!

This Covid friendly activity is amazing! We had a blast cruising DC with our tour guide. The Segways are easy to ride and the tours come with training so you’re comfortable with the machine before you head out. Above all I absolutely love the fact that City Segway has headsets so you can hear the tour guide. This is a huge plus in my book!!! We did this tour as part of my husband’s birthday weekend and it was the highlight of our trip!! Highly recommend!!!

We booked a 2 hour segway tour around DC and we had the best time. The team took their time making sure we felt safe on the segway before we zipped around the city. Evan was our tour guide and created a perfect balance of fun and history thrown into our tour.

I am a local so was slightly hesitant to do this but did so at my friends urging. I am so glad I did it. They ensure you are completely comfortable before going and the Segways are fairly easy and SOOO much fun to ride. The tour guide was funny and engaging. This is a great way to learn about D.C if you've never been. The only disappointment (and reason for the 4 stars) is the tour was supposed to last 2.5 hours but ended a full one hour early for some reason.

Great way to visit the sights in Washington DC. Guides were excellent. Gave everyone solid training before hitting the streets. Guided tour with headset allowed the Leaders to provide information on the sights, as well as clear Segway driving instructions whilst we toured the city.

Really enjoyed our Segway tour! Our guide was thorough & charming, and we covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Water was provided as well. Segways were in great condition & I most appreciated the transmitter with headphones so we could hear our guide while we were riding. This was very efficient!

They did not, but suspect if a rider does not look 16 or older, they would. My daughter is just 16, but looks a bit older and there was not a check.

We would be coming straight from the airport and not able to check into our Airbnb before the tour we want to take, is there a place to put a small suitcase/backpack?
