The turn-of-the-century neighborhood has retained its historic charm while becoming the district's destination for both eclectic cuisine and nightlife. A gateway for immigrants since the 1960's, the Adams Morgan neighborhood continues to be a home for people of many ethnicities, cultures, races, and religions. The diversity can be seen through its numerous restaurants that include Guatemalan, Nepalese, Dutch, Vietnamese, Ghanaian, Brazilian, Peruvian, Israeli, and Eritrean. Outstanding food tour + history lesson
We had a fantastic outing with Robert! He was very engaging and kept us entertained with snippets of Georgetown history between the food stops. We greatly enjoyed the culinary spectrum of Italian, Spanish, and Mexican restaurants. The food was delicious and plentiful and we were quite full by the end, which wrapped up with macarons. Each restaurant was ready for us with reserved seating and service was efficient, with food arriving shortly after we were seated. Drinks were not included but could be ordered and paid for separately. We would definitely recommend and would also do on other tours offered by this company.

      Great Experience
This food tour was fabulous. Our guide Robert was knowledgeable and each restaurant was a unique and interesting experience. With 4 stops there was almost too much food - so go hungry. I had 3 out of town friends with me and we all enjoyed it, though the walk in January was a bit chilly!

Our favourite tour of the trip
Our host Robert was a delight. He got the whole group talking to each other and he kept us fully engaged with his historical facts. The 3 food stops were absolutely delicious! Georgetown seems a lovely area. The portions were very big at each stop and then finished off with a macaron! You will definitely not need a dinner after this tour! Overall great value and extremely entertaining.

      Fairly funny, but clearly biased
They put on a good show. Quite a few laughs, but clearly slanted hard left. They claim to balanced, but they are not. To make a big deal about Trump's documents, but nothing about biden's - unfair. To mock MTG and Bobbit, but not AOC and the squad - really? If you are a committed leftist, you will probably love it, but otherwise, you may find it a bit annoying as I did.

      Must do!
This is more of a history tour with food than a cultural food tour like some places have, but it is a DELIGHT. The food is sooo good and the portions are great - it was definitely a full meal. And the content of the tour was so interesting, illuminating Georgetown and DC as a whole. I’ll hope to come back one day! I highly recommend!

      Great tour
Mix of history and good food. Enjoyed the stories in between bites. Would definitely recommend this tour. Italian food was excellent. The Mexican at the end just okay

      Top-notched history/food tour!
Robert was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurants, the food, and the history of Georgetown and its landmarks! It was one of the best food tours we’ve ever done!

Great info and stories but not about the food
We thought it would focus more on the food in Georgetown. We’re expecting maybe 6 to 7 stops with small plates. With only three restaurants and cookies we were a little bit disappointed. However, the host was great.

      Awesome Food Tour
This was one of the best tours we have been on. So worth every penny. Robert was a great guide. He knows Georgetown extremely well. He would walk a block and tell us some great stories or history of the place. And the food was the best! So much food, we couldn’t eat it all! The restaurants were the best. We want to go back! So glad we got to go.

A informative tour with tasty food.
I took the tour with friends and had a good time. We go on a lot of food tours and I would say this one was fairly good. Our tour guide was welcoming and was able to give us a flavour of the history of Old Town. We visited just 3 restaurants and a cupcake shop. One of the restaurants, the Lebanese restaurant didn't provide enough food for all the people on the tour to have a sample of each dish, which I feel isn't acceptable. The Tex/Mex restaurant we visited was good, but the cupcake shop was just okay. It may be that cupcakes aren't really my jam. Overall, the tour was okay, but could be better.

Nice mix of history and food
A nice combination of history of Georgetown with food tastings. Wayne was excellent and well versed in his subject. The only tasting that was average was Mexican. Italian and Spanish were more special

      Definitely Recommend
Our Georgetown food tour was wonderful. The food was eclectic and tasty. We're all still thinking about Flavio's! Our tour guide, Robert, was equally as great! He was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and patient. I would definitely book again and would recommend to others!

Great tour, Robert was a top-notch guide
Robert was a fantastic guide - he gave us a great overview of the history, architecture, and culture of Capitol Hill and was a lot of fun to be with. We got to cover a lot of ground, much of it off the main roads to places where he had interesting stories. There was a good mix of food at a variety of places - the cod fritters at our first stop were insanely good! This was our first time doing this type of tour, but it won't be our last!

What a fantastic food tour! My family and I went on an adventure with Gerson and learned so much about Adams Morgan! All the food was great, and definitely try the blood orange jalapeno margarita, the best! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some fun history and great food!

Our tour started with The Grill from Ipanema for Brazilian food and drink. The food was fantastic! Cocktails are extra but no one was concerned about that and most everyone tried local drinks. Next it was an easy walk to Himalayan Heritage where the food was once again fantastic. This stop felt very rushed and no one ordered drinks. Johnny Pistolas was out third stop. We were here quite a long time. The tacos were just average, very greasy and it didn't seem to fit in with the diverse ethnic feel of the tour. For dessert, we walked down the hill to The Cake Room for delicious cupcakes and coffee. The food part of the tour was good, we tried some foods we had never eaten before. However, I don't feel like we learned much about the history of Morgan Adams and we didn't learn much about the foods we were given. I could not tell you the names of anything we ate! We have been on several food tours in other cities and I felt this one was average in experience and a bit expensive in cost.

I really enjoyed this tour- everything was pretty well curated. The only thing that I think could be better is if we were able to place our orders for each place a little earlier. Because of the limited time at each place, it sometimes took a while to place our order, wait for the food, and then eat. Otherwise, each location had very yummy food and the experience was pretty seamless. The tour guide told a couple of off color jokes, but it wasn’t enough to ruin our time.

Everything seemed a little disorganized with this food tour. We went into restaurants that didn't seem to know we were coming and got no information about any of the food we ate. The guide was interesting, though he didn't know anything about the restaurants nor food rather just a bit of the history of the area. I don't feel like I learned anything, and I've eaten better food. While it was a fun experience overall, I've enjoyed food tours in other cities much more than this one.
