All staff we interacted with were extremely personable, kind, and professional. The tour itself was informative and seeing sites lit up at night was amazing. Our driver pointed out certain points with more specificity than the recording we were listening to. Electricity went down at the Lincoln Memorial due to nearby road construction, so we did not get off the bus at that site as anticipated. The busses began boarding at about 7:25 for the 8:00 departure. When they say get there early for preferred seating, they mean it. We arrived right about 7:00 and there were over 70 people in line already.

Excellent way to see the sights of DC at night (which is really different from the daytime Big Bus tour, which we also took)! Ms. Gale was an outstanding tour guide and had all the interesting tidbits that made our tour extra special. She did a great job of slowing down at photo opportunities so we could get a good shot of special places. Highly recommend this tour. Oh! Be sure to line up outside at least an hour ahead of time if you want to be guaranteed a seat outside on top of the bus! The wait in line is worth it and Gregory made the wait entertaining and easy for all of us, even offering gum before we all boarded the bus.

The tour was good for what it covered in the 90 min time it did. Our driver was patient & safe despite the typical DC traffic jams. Big Bus did *exceptionally* well with the pre-bus boarding to make standing in the long line totally bearable: props to Gregory for answering FAQs (yes, there were enough busses for everyone & we could all sit up top if we wanted!), directing us to transport & plans after the tour & passing out candy to keep us happy. The people working to board & drive us seem committed to doing great work & maintaining an upbeat, fun, customer-service-minded attitude, which is unfortunately pretty rare these days. Would recommend for this reason alone.

Our tickets were purchased Monday for Thursday night tour and said "meeting time 07:45 PM" and we arrived in line before that. Gregory was talking at front of the line, but us at the back could not hear him. I had my hand up for several minutes to ask him to repeat what he was saying but he indicated that he would answer me later. Later never came, and after several busses were full at the top, Gregory finally spoke to us at the end of the line and told us to return tomorrow. We are leaving town tomorrow, so that was not an option. He told us to sit on the bottom of the bus. I can post some very disappointing photos at ground level with cars in the way or monuments on the other side of the bus and passenger heads in the way. Our bus Dionte did his best to make the most of a situation that he did not create. This was my son's only chance to see the monuments at night and I don't know how the BigBus management can make it up to us since they obviously overbooked the busses and our views were blocked throughout the tour.

Buyer Beware.

If you talk to Big Bus tours BEFORE to buy a ticket, they will simply invite you to purchase and answer general questions. AFTER you buy a ticket they will let you know that they are basically running weekends only now.

They know very well that most people aren't in town for multiple weekends, and are simply hoping that you'll buy tickets, then find out, then you'll try to get your money back and they will laugh at you and say no, then you'll give up.

But the good news is that they KNOW they don't have a leg to stand on. I contacted Paypal, disputed, and though they wasted a lot of my time, they didn't try to defend themselves and I got my money back.

Don't trust them. It appears that they don't know how to deal with the Covid issues, and so have decided to try to hustle people instead. Pretty shameful.

I've ridden during "the before times" and it was fine, nothing special, but fine. It's a shame they decided to go that route during the crisis.

We were at the tour over an hour early to get in the enclosed part of the top deck since it was a very cold night. They ended up making us go on a very old bus that didn’t have the enclosed area even when we asked to wait and go on the next bus. The audio also didn’t work from several of the seats and it was a narrated audio with some of the same things already heard on the day tour. I think they should have a live guide for the night tour. The driver wasn’t very nice and the driving was scarier than usual. We had one 10 minute stop at the Lincoln memorial to run up and take pics then run back. I didn’t get any good pictures other than this stop which was super disappointing. If you’re on the drivers side you can’t see much

Great time on the Night Tour. This made it easy to see all the sights at night after a long daytime of sightseeing on foot. Gregory started the tour with great service-friendly, funny, and made sure everyone knew how to get to their transportation after the tour!

We were met by Beverley at the Big Bus stand on Union station who gave us excellent service and advice. Our stay was only 2 days long so we took the hop-on-hop-off package as well as the DC night tour. Rochelle was our guide on the night tour and she was super amazing, telling us when to get our cameras ready for a shot. We really enjoyed her sense of humour and her knowledge of all the museums and memorials. We so much wanted to ride the yellow line as well because we thought we could visit the zoo, but apparently, the yellow line does not go that far anymore and it only runs on weekends. It would have been helpful to know a bit more on how the app worked as we had so little time to explore, e.g we only realized on the last day that when you look at the middle of your screen on the app , it shows you where the buses are at that point in time and you could gestimate how long it would take to get to your stop. Another guide pointed this out to us and I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Overall it was a good experience and we got to see lots of the capital but not too many museums. Some, like the Smithsonian Natural Sciences one, can take you all day. We also learnt that memorials are buildings or statues with not much information. If you want information, visit a museum. We managed to fit in Madame Tussaud, The Natural Sciences museum and the Holocaust museum and hope to visit all the the other free Smithsonian museums on our next visit.

We had a great experience with Big Bus tours. A few days before our tour date, I saw that there was rain forecasted. I was able to chat customer service at 5am and they adjusted my ticket date. There was a huge crowd of people in line to get on the bus, but everyone got a roof top seat. One of the workers was passing out candy to all the kids before we left, was super positive and set the mood for the experience. The sites were great and the audio recording was interesting for both kids and adults. Thank you Big Bus!

Gregory at the start of the tour was a fantastic ambassador for the company.
The night trip was amazing and atmospheric. A memory to savour.
Each time we saw Gregory for the next two days he exemplified the characteristics of a superb employee for the company. Even recognising us from a distance in a line of people waiting to get on to the next tour.
The day tours were busy and sadly we encountered two buses with technical issues which scuppered our plans and we had to walk a fair distance to our planned next hop-on/off but other than that a fab experience.
