I did not expect the impeached Justice Samuel Chase of 1804 to be sober as a judge on a Saturday night, but the judge gave a well-researched tour of Capitol Hill that was peppered with tales and legends of ghostly occurrences and spectral celebrities. It was hugely entertaining and informative. A great way to take in the lore and the sights.

Our tour guide, Anna Seurat, was very engaging, right from the start. She was dressed in old time clothes, and stayed in character the entire time. Everybody felt comfortable, and had fun. She was very funny, and led the group through the DC landmarks at night. Gorgeous to see. Anna was entertaining, and the tour progressed at a good pace. She was knowledgeable about her character, and ghost hauntings around the city. Excellent story teller! Was a fun addition to our DC trip, apart from visiting all of the landmarks. High recommend for the tour, and high recommend for Anna. Thanks for a fun night.

Justice Samuel Chase aka “bacon face” and affectionately named “Mr. Bacon” (by my 10 year old during the tour) was absolutely amazing! He is so knowledgeable and very funny. We learned so much about the history of the Hill told through spooky stories. The tour was conversational which I really loved. Absolutely will be a highlight of our vacation. We are almost certain Sam Chase was an actual ghost. He waited with us for our Uber and as we pulled away it seemed he completely disappeared!!

We enjoyed our tour guide immensely. She stayed in character the entire time and the stories she told were fascinating. I do think the tour was a little too long. At each location, she told 3-4 stories. I think if she had done 2-3 stories instead and cut the overall tour to an hour it would have been better. Also, with traffic and such, at times it was hard to hear the tour guide. She needs a small microphone to boost her voice just enough to be able to be heard over the traffic.

This was not what we thought it would be... Majority of the tour was spent in silence as we walked 3 miles. When we did stop, the description wasn’t scripted or rehearsed and just came off as stories she was making up on the spot. The guide kept walking us in the wrong direction, then turning us around. She had an older lady with her using her gps on her phone. The older woman did not interact with us and wouldn’t even look at anyone. Tbh, it was the creepiest/spookiest part of the entire tour. Save your money and time.

This was a terrible tour. Do not waste your money. There were 4 of us and we felt like we threw away $106. Our guide did not know what she was doing. She had a single sheet of notebook paper she kept referring to and still jumbled her stories. It was more history than scary or ghostly history. You walk a lot on this tour and you stop briefly at each stop with little information given. I would not recommend this tour to anyone!

Hoping for a little Halloween fun, my husband and I booked this tour on a bit of a whim. We are so glad we did! We met near Starbucks, and we finished up near the Capitol. We didn't walk too much/too fast and did have an opportunity to sit during a couple of the tales. Our tour guide, Samuel Chase, was knowledgeable and funny, spinning us tales of quirky historical moments and spooky occurrences around the Capitol Hill area. I was glad that there was nothing too spooky, though, since I am a bona fide scaredy cat! Cannot wait to recommend this tour to all our friends in D.C.!

My husband and I always wonder why we are disappointed when we go on ghost tours. We never see the ghosts (hahaha). Our guide was knowledgeable about the people and history, he just wasn't very animated and didn't make the history interesting. I think we will skip the ghost tours in the future.

Our Tour Guide was Samuel Chase, the ghost of a lawyer who lived through the inception of our country. He was excellent, so informative (totally in character the whole time). the tour was spooky, and rife with historical info and waxed poetic on many of the grand themes (justice, liberty, etc) that undergird the structure of this nation. for horror freaks and history buffs alike! have fun!
I also really appreciated that it takes place entirely on capitol hill, because ive been to DC 3 times so far and this was the first time that I made it over there. it is easy to pass up with all that there is to see in the national mall, and the city.

I booked this tour last minute and was so glad I did. The guide was a very engaging storyteller and was very entertaining. These ghost tours aren't the kind where you hunt ghosts, they for hearing ghost stories in the spots where the stories take place. Nothing was too scary though, this tour is meant to be family friendly so you don't have to worry about not being able to sleep after. Its a great way to see a bit of capital hill and have something fun and entertaining to do once the museums close
